    The shims under your two plunger springs vary from pump to pump. It's not "wrong" that one pump only had one shim and the other had multiple shims. There is a measurement that you take when building these pumps at a pump repair shop, and based on that you adjust the shim thickness/number of shims. Cheers.

    liked the video but there is nothing on internal timing. Or how to ensure the pump piston will be set up right after repair.

    If I do swap out my defective vp30 off from another engine for my ford focus 2001, do you think I will have an immobilizer issue?

      Yep it will have immo problems, cause only the Rover pumps got no immo coded into the PSG pump unit. Opel, Ford, VAG all have the immo in the pump coded.
