The dip oil dip stick is on the left side of the engine, down low. That is where it is on my 550 tlb. She is knocking quite loud. Could be low on oil or rod knock. One of the wires on key switch goes to the manifold heater. My 550 has to be in neutral on the 4 speed box to start
Looks like a 256 ci engine. Should be the same as a 6/68-75 5000 or a 5100 or 5600. Dipstick is under the starter, these fords always have the dipstick mounted to the flange where the oil pan bolts up. It’s a short little thing. Man, that is one helluva nice machine! Some new glass and an AC kit if your buddy wants and she’s ready to go to work!
Some msnufacturers use straight minus wire from battery to starter ground to ensure strong enough current. Positive wire goes to a solenoid, so that wiring is almost normal.
Seeing you eventually tinker on the big wheel loader would be cool. It would be a shame to see it get scrapped especially if it ended up being good enough to be useable. :)
We had a 750 or 7500? It’s been a bit but it had hydraulic steering was great as long as you could keep oil in the system thanks for bringing back some memories for me 😂😂 fun machine to work .
It’s a 1086 not a 1066. It’s one of the last models of a true International tractor before it was sold to CASE. The tractor if bought at the right price would be a money maker.

I've been following this series and have no idea what scrap value might be. Can you give us any idea of how you determine a value? Do you basically just pay whatever scrap value might be? You estimated the backhoe at about 20k pounds. If scrap is at $100 a ton that would be about ten tons. So would you pay $1000 for the machine? Just very curious.
because he was too lazy to spend more time to find the dipstick, so he just decided that because it was not his machine anyway so who cares if something gets damaged.
When digging, the hoe should be up off the ground, a friend of mine was digging with a backhoe once and he didn’t lift the backhoe high enough and bent the axle rods in the rear axle because the back tires were still touching the ground while he was digging being really ruff with the equipment. But that’s because he wasn’t trained for that peace of equipment.
yep, that disrespect to the owners of the machine ticked me off too. If someone lets you tinker on their stuff, then that means they trust you and you do not cause unnecessary damage to someone else's property.

I could have told ya myself that buying a random key from Amazon wasn;t going to work. keys are amde for specific locks, buying a random key wont work.
In the older construction and farm machinery side of things many machines have common brand specific type ignition/ door key with only 2 different versions available. The problem comes when guys swap switches to another generic auto parts store switch or you just buy the wrong key maybe for a newer type ford machine like Tyler possibly did. One youtuber I watch changes all his equipment to CAT style ignition switches so 1 key type type fits all his equipment. I also have a massive bunch of keys here that I used to take to auctions with me to start all types of different equipment brands. The newer stuff has more security features to stop it getting stolen so it's not that easy with some of it now.
Love the channel but this one is a bit too obvious. It has brand new tires and not a bit of green mold or anything from sitting out in the weather. Looks like it was driven out of a dry shed and parked their.
I agree it wasn’t sitting for that long but I am being honest that no one around could tell me if it ran and worked, how well and the last time it ran. I figured I would find out for myself and take you guys along with me 🤷🏻♂️
Everyone seems to think new and make payments. People who own them get old and really could care less about this equipment so just scrap it and no one else can use it...
