Thanks❤❤ this has been my hobby for years and i didnt know how to start a journal
But there is a problem on the website, i am under 18 yrs of age n there is 18-23😢😢😢 pls fix it
Clark, I notice you write in all caps. Since you know the importance of writing with pen and paper, I HIGHLY recommend reading "Your Handwriting Can Change Your Life" by Vimala Rodgers. She is a handwriting analyst and has great insight on how you form your letters and lines defines who you are, and thus when you change the way you write, it changes your life! Really great book full of wisdom and action steps.
Thank you 🙏 I’ve been looking for something that resonates and makes sense to me so I can start doing this and seeing results!!
Bro I am glad i have "stumbled" across your videos. This one though has slapped different. I consider myself to be the kind of stereotypical mans man but the last few years I've been thinking "is that me or am I playing to the stereotype". Don't get me wrong I don't want to be this over emotional guy that has to be deep at every moment, but I definitely want to get inside myself and I thought a journal would be a genius place to start (hence "stumbling" across your videos). Not knowing how to "speak" to a journal has been my main reason for procrastinating but I can see that I am talking to myself a year or 4 years from now, but also leaving a blueprint of my progression along with memories of moments that I might forget otherwise. I'll tell it straight, I'm a grown ass 38 year old man, you're a young lad. Which shows it doesn't matter the age, sex or culture of someone We can all learn something from everyone. I've taken what you said in this video on board and I ordered a journal right before I wrote this reply. I will add to your ideas though by putting reminders and inspiration on random pages before I start to journal in it. Respect bro👊
"Out of inspiration not Obligation." You set me free with this one! I'm so inspired Clark, thank you.
Journalling is such a good technique to clear your mind and also gives you a great reference point for how far youve come because you've always got the opportunity contrast how you are now to your former self
Great point, I agree!!!
Who else is in love with Clark’s essence and beauty ? Thank you for your efforts and the positive ideas you enrich us with .
I woke up today with a strong urge to get my drug issues in check, hoping I can someday have a healthy relationship with someone. Since my current job situation I can't just quit and do my xth rehab, but then I got recommended this video.
I will go get a journel after work, maybe there will be an update in year. Thanks for posting.
Amazing! You've got this! Wish you so much luck on your journey.
I used to same the same thing...then I quit my job and went to my xth rehab very unwilling at first because of the job and obligations at home.
I'm 4 years sober now. Good luck.
Thank you, Clark. Love seeing this every year.
This video is fantastic. I have kept a journal since I was 8 years old. But back then, it was a diary 😂 not a journal. In high school was when I made the switch from having a diary to now having a journal. I have some profound memories recorded in them. Each significant event in my personal life & in the world has been saved for me to look back on…like a photograph but way more in-depth since each entry describes a vivid accounting of the actual events that occurred. I can look back into my journal & read through my 1st hand perspective minute by minute of significant events, like 9/11/01. I made sure to document that entire day minute by minute. ❤

This is something I've been doing for sooo many years, it's a great way to sort your thoughts. Develop ideas and contrast other people's ideas through your own filters. It's good for mental health.
I started journaling in summer 2023 after finding your channel, and now it's one of my favourite habits 🎉 Thanks a million for this and for the content you create, I love every single video I watched☀️
This is amazing. Thank you for saying that you should journal when you're inspired not because you have to. That really was great to hear because i felt if i wasnt journalling daily i was doing it wrong
it is my every year habit to watch your journaling videos. i am happy to witness how you grow your community.
I am on my second year of Journalling. I found that last year i was writing alot about my thoughts and feelings and such. A big section of the book ended up being that. The other section were very sparce.
I have been doing a morning pages in other notebooks for a few months now where i dump all of my thoughts out. This lead me to not use the journal as much.
This year I trying something new, i am still doing morning pages in another pad, but i am recording myself in my journal as if a 3rd person is asking question. Not every day, but hoping for often. I will try other sections again also.
I cant say if i have learnt yet from it, I didnt achieve any of my goals last year. I have put a tally on my goals this time, to track my wins when i do them.
Always evolving.
Thanks mate, all the best.
I love journalling but i feel guilty whenniwrite in my journal more than 8 times a day. I write everything.. my thoughts, observations, a poem , a songi like, something i saw, the meal i ate and the memories that that meal sparked … literally everything
I keep a journal on all my fishing trips. I have done it for years. It’s a great way to get ideas about my fishing habits and places.
I appreciate you making this video. I didn’t have a good day today and I feel I drawn to this video because I’ve been struggling with everything you covered in the video and I feel like The Lord drew me to this video and I just wanna say thank you🙏🏼
I have been daily journaling since the 1970s, I like your Technique. Currently I use 4 journals. Everything is totally logged in each of the journals used as a teaching tool.
This is the type of video I’ve been looking for. I know how to journal and put my thoughts down but I didn’t know how to section my journal for improvement and goal making. I hate pre planned journals since there’s a lot of unnecessary questions I have to answer to fill the empty space. I watched this one already but I’m going to watch it again and make
Notes to improve my journal. Thank you!!!
I always love your vidz knowledge is power . and I thrive for progress not perfection are two of my favourite
Thank you for this. It's the first time someone has explained in clear and concise terms how to journal. While I'm sure it's not meant to be a firm process, as a guide it's perfect. You're the best.
Finally I found that I'm searching for the idea and advice. Thanks so much Clark!
Great video Clark! I found that keeping a binder made it more enjoyable for me as I am always adding pages or removing them because I want to rewrite the page to make it neat & legible. When journaling, striving for perfection for me has made me more anxious and less consistent than just going at it and trying to do everything right. Someone once told me, "Some progress is better than no progress!". Also, thank you for your tips!
By far my favorite journal set up.
Hey Clark, I just wanna let you know that this helps a lot! I was having a blank page fright. But this really helps me where to start. Thank you and good luck! Good content, btw.
“Stop journaling out of obligation” whoa! 🤯 thank you for that!
This is very informative. Thank u so much! I have tried journaling before multiple times but always stopped after a few months. Not consistent enough, maybe because i am always seeing those videos that are more of the “pretty” journal stuff not really aligning to what/how i go everyday. This is very interesting and I find it more “my style” just being me. I will try changing the way I journal and see how it goes. Thank u so much again.
youre amazing, THANK YOU!
Incredible video! Thank you for sharing this!
Thank you Clark its done with life
What brought me to this channel years ago and actually worked!!Mad I stopped but is ok I’ll get back to it now!
Aww, what made you stop?
Excellent - thanks Clark!
Thank you! I think it will be very helpful for me to set my future goals
Ok so I watched on of your earlier journal blogs, and I gave it a go, from that space I modified, and come up with my own ideas, I went from a security guard to returning back to university, completed two degrees, in 5 years, plus placement, and night school at the hospital, now have my own business at home, life coaching, support worker and counselling, I do a bit of community work as well. Thanks again for your help and advice.
This is amazing ❤ !! Thanks Man 🙏
your vids are amazing keep it up💯
Thank you so much for your videos, it changed my life, especially "The ultimate guide to keeping a journal" series, I have watched every video on your channel and I will watch every next video you post prohably a 100 times!
I'd love to know more. Especially, ehat did you find most helpful?
Yes it works. Super good 👍
This is really helpful and came at the perfect time
Excellent work ✌️I started last year,my sister told me to do because I felt lost after breaking up with my boyfriend 😀.Was a great idea,I am still writing every morning sometimes if I have not the joy ,I am doing in another day,no matter ,and I can read my goals, motivation, and how I have progressed from that time😊
I usted to journal every day, I didn't find it difficult or "obligated". It was like a brief moment of rest and mental peace that i would have before a very productive and busy day killing it inmu projects, and then in the night again for summarize the victories and the lessons from the day. I am not implementing the habit for some reasons but probably at the Middle of the year I probably will start that again.
Greetings from Venezuela ✌
I have a journal for songs, a journal for goal setting, and a journal for business. I do have a fourth journal, but I keep that one more for writing the completed concept down for each one of my ideas because they are either way too hard to read or I'm being way too dark and mysterious for anyone to understand. I usually work on the concept for a while, and then I'll come back to it at a later time until I figure out what actually goes there.
Great video. Thank you for sharing.
I have 5+ journals and they are all different themed; my main one has all of my thoughts and ideas. I jot stuff down all the time and it's a messy little bitch. I'll go back through it and re-organize my thoughts/ideas and put them down into one of the themed journals (all pretty with colors) in a more organized way to get the full plan so I can execute it. I'm an INTJ (female; super rare) it's how my brain functions. I've been learning to let go and be more relaxed the past 4 months and it's been surprisingly great! Might be turning into a ENTJ lol :) Thanks for the videos, they help a lot!
I'm curious what the theme of each of your five journals is. Thanks!
@@susanshearer6106 hello!
traveling plans
business ideas
astrology cheatsheet
moon cycles collages
recipes/tea blends/home remedies
thoughts/emotions
budgets/financial plans
organizing/interior design
🥰 the ideas first get written down in my ideas journal that's super messy and when I have time, I'll transfer the idea into it's proper journal with more details when I'm ready to do more research on it.
Thanks, Clark. It was super helpful and inspiring to get more into journaling. Could you share your personal 6 sections?
May the 'force' be with you all as you journal along❤
Thanks alot really encouraging
Just started but this is benefiting me ty great upload
Been journaling this way since 2019. I even own the My Best Journal 2.0 course. Those journals are now my most priced possessions. Thank you @clarkkegley
The Bali quote things is REAL! I live in Bali, and there are so many girls with those kind of tattoos
Really needed this video
Good to know how do you manage to keep a journal for each year.
Great video. That mortality calculator went straight down to paper for some perspective!
😮 That was eye opening. I wasted 3650 days... but I have nearly 18 Gs left. I have to be frugal with myself. I am gonna have to listen to this again.
AZ! My homestate ❤️
I like journaling it help me process my emotions.
thank you
For me I starting setting up my new journal at the beginning of the month which I will be actively using it in February because this month Is basically over.
Journaling for 34 years...its been the most transformative tool of my life
I did this a couple years ago, and if i’m being honest even inspired writing i still have a lot of resistance with, i dont know if it’s from being conditioned by school, or if its because my own handwriting is kind of sloppy, i have a hard time with it, i think it did end up helping me though, because it helped me see how crazy and chaotic my thoughts are, its a good practice to get in to.
it doesnt have to be pretty so true!!!! i really love messy journal 😂❤
I started journaling when i was in my 6th grade. Just using calendar as a timer and motivate myself. I still using a physical calendar. I dont feel the magic the digital... it feels different with paper & pen
What do you think about Digital journaling over something like Notion? is it still equally effective?
you mentioned yogananda ,
read autobiography of a yogi by paramhans yogananda
you will definitely love it
Where can I buy the journal book you are using in the video?
Hello Mr Clark. I don't know if you wil able to see this, but i'm a little lost about these "ultimate guides to journal" because this is not the only one you have, and i wanted to ask: Are the other guides obsolete?
Because i am currently about to study one of your videos called "How to Journal For Self Growth" (4 years ago) and i was wondering if it was any different from those anual videos or what is the most useful in that matter, and where should i focus my attention.
Thank you for all of your help c:
(Sorry for the bad english, it's my second language and still learning it)
You have a beautiful voice
You're 🔥 AF!!
What is AF?

10 years 🎉
I realized, after testing, that U and I have similar characteristics and strengths, cool 😎
Great
I have 9.855... TKS for the video.
I only can find bad quality black sketchbooks with max 160 pages. Do someone have a recommendation?
Do you have any worksheets?
10:00 back cover.
first year for me
How can I buy your journal?
Where do I get that Journal
❤❤❤❤❤
Damn you have some nice handwriting
is there a difference you think in using a physical journal like a notebook, vs the journal app on my phone?
There is definitely a difference. The biggest once is personal preference ;)
I have met people who will not touch digital but get everything they need from physical / paper. And I have met the reverse.
Have you tried either method?
I have a question.
Can you help create a digital, or computer version of this?
I know it may sound crazy, but for me, it's easier to sit down at a computer, or pull up voice to text on my phone and go. I have absolutely terrible handwriting. Seriously, it's so bad that I can't even read my own handwriting. Plus, I have ADHD, and it's easier, and faster to type everything out. Having ADHD, if it doesn't get written fast, it's probably not going to get written. I can go on and on, but I think you can see why someone would want a digital version of this, and it would be awesome if you could help me create one. Thank you 🙂.
Should I make journal on NOTION ?
Just curious why do some of your journals have your name but others say Danger with the year on them
There is too much bass in your mic it's annoying.
Still love the video!
19,345....Damn, its way past due that i get my life in order
Hi fellow ENFJ 😊
pro tip: print cat memes and glue em on your journal.
8:02 I don't understand
366 days this year due to the leap year 🎉 so you’ve got a few more days
Just when he said 9 years ago....
I want to journaling but my Handwriting is suck 😢😢😢
Who could guess that Bruce wayne wrote journal
Lmao love the tramp stamp comment but I think he's bullshiting us😂😂😂
You know that the number is not exactly right, you miss the leap year days in your calculation
I hate to be that guy, but your days to 90 maths is off. You forgot leap years, so it would be around 32872 or 32873 depending on what year you were born.
Too complicated...
I'd also say try to do what feels right. If you're not a fan of handwriting, you can still get a lot of the benefits of organising your thoughts by tapping away at a keyboard. It's all about off-loading the swirls in your brain onto something better suited to holding them.
Great
