Actually what you wrote isn't true. Over 90% of all murders of females is by a family member. Usually a husband, boyfriend, ex boyfriend, ex-husband or extended family member and in the case if the 65 year old woman, it was a close friend of the family. The police would NOT being doing their job if they didn't look at close family members. If a member of my family were murdered (God forbid), I'd say, "Look at me all you want, just don't look solely at me".

The Coffee Shop murders actually happened at a Starbucks in Georgetown. I remember this because I went to work for Starbucks in California around 1998 and they had much stricter closing and opening procedures in place for security purposes. Starbucks took this tragedy extremely seriously. I remember my manager at that first location I worked at telling me about this story! I worked for Starbucks off and on for several years as a Barista then a Shift Manager. This story will always haunt me, even though I left Starbucks years ago. I never forgot it! How very sad and truly terrifying for those poor employees who lost their lives so needlessly. They were all so young!

It's not only happening in the states, but Europe & Canada as well. There is also tremendous pressure to be successful & that is measured by things(items). It is unfortunately unimportant the means use to. achieve them(Eick Erickson (sp) & it seems few hold education/job training in high regard. (imho)

Couple of nights later he dug a hole again, covering up the first one burning something else in the next one right beside the first hole. I feel he created a inground incinerator buried a body and there's nothing I can do about it because the cops are so stupid and lazy if I go to them and tell them I want to find out if there is really bones down there, they will say I did it and I don't even have pet food right now so I can't afford no attorney and I'm stuck living with this.

Polygraph tests have been proven to be unreliable as evidence. It makes no sense to me why investigators still use them. I can imagine that even if someone is innocent, certain topics may make them feel anxious or emotional, not because they are guilty of anything, but because they are having an emotional response to the subject matter. Like being asked “did you kill your wife?” would make anyone anxious and upset, because they are now thinking about their missing and possibly dead wife.
The only thing I can think of that they might be useful for, is to gauge the suspect’s reaction to the suggestion of taking a polygraph test. Like if they flat out deny to do it, it could come off as suspicious. But at the same time, I wouldn’t want to take one even if I were innocent, because of the reasons I mentioned before. It is also possible to basically outsmart the test, as some people have crazy control over their emotions, especially if the person is a psychopath.
With the amount of DNA technology we have, as well as dozens of other means of investigating, the whole idea of a polygraph test seems silly and outdated.

Imagine someone you care about being killed. Visualize it. Now you're as guilty as the barbershop guy. Nobody is evil simply for a thought, because nobody controls every thought they have, because if you did you wouldn't be reading this. Evil requires action. Your thoughts can only harm you, so don't bother barbershop guy about his. And before some mouth breather starts with"but he said he would blah blah blah," half of the people reading my comment thinking "I'd punch this guy in the face" wouldn't punch me in the face once they got to me. She could have been killed many times but God held her through the very end. Imagine turning in the love of your life for murder on television. Would you want to do that? Whether it was a look-alike or not, you would live with regret over doing so. She was courageous enough to investigate, sleep with, and lie to a man she believed to be a friend & husband. Just because a person does not show emotions where & when you expect them to, may only be evidence of their reluctance to display emotions in public.
You have no way to know, if they _"grieve in private"_ or not.
Besides, people grieve in a variety of different, and sometimes irrational ways.
(can't confirm guilt, from emotional reactions to traumatic events)

True. When my mom told me that my dad had died, I started smiling and almost laughing at first, and I was honestly completely shocked by that initial reaction of mine. I seriously worried if was a sociopath, however, I didn’t truly even grieve until a few years later. He took his own life only a month after I had turned 18, and it was after my mom and I had moved out due to his constant emotional abuse he inflicted on her. I had only recently developed a good relationship with my father as well. I know that I had to be strong for my mom who was devastated, shocked and heart broken, and that’s likely why it took so long for me to start the grieving process. But honestly, God forbid she had given me the news in front of the sheriff’s that went to do the welfare check on him, because they very well may have questioned me further or even assumed I had something to do with it. So yeah, you nailed it, the way people show their emotions and grieve can be a highly individual process.

      @@ChevyGirl-1984 Yes indeed.
I've seen every reaction to emotional trauma you could imagine.
There is no set way to react, but some people will judge you by what they expect to see.
_Police could use some education in trauma psychology._
Best wishes to you Amy, thanks for sharing.
