I've talked with our local school board at meetings about school security and they have implemented some measures, like 8ft fencing with automated gates at all entrances and exits. We have armed teachers and staff alone with three officers going between campuses all day. They have metal detectors at the entrances. I suggested metal detectors on school buses and school bus drivers be supplied with an alert system in the event if of an incident. People say our schools are turning into prisons, well there aren't any shootings at prisons so it works.
I agree with you on all points Jason. But doesn’t it seem just a little bit fishy how quickly they were able to release the audio tape of the interview of the father last year but we still don’t know what happened in the Las Vegas shooting, or that it took over a year to get ahold of the tranifesto from the Christian School shooting in Tennessee and there are still so many questions about what happened in the Trump shooting? Just seems a little suspect to me. Maybe it’s all part of the “Process”🤠
I don't have any answers. I never mentioned guns, but at 8 yrs old my dad taught me to shoot a double barreled shotgun, and I loved it. That sparked my love for guns. I am curious why it always seems to be boys who do the shootings at schools, etc.
Can I just give you some advice on your kids please? You planted the seed about teaching them how to shoot. Give them some time, they will eventually come back to your teachings and want to progress with the shooting and collecting. They are too busy with their lives right now they are young but they will discover the passion that you taught them. IDK If you remember me but I did but the PAIL for my SIG TX marked military overrun plus I got the optic to go with it. I thing the PAIL is going for much higher prices now. Thank you for your video on it. Keep up the great content please
I’m a gun owner a parent and I believe in the 2nd amendment. I agree with everything you said, there are some people who shouldn’t have guns and there has to be a mechanism to disarm them that respects the fact that you cannot remove someone’s right without due process of law. I have thought for years every time there is a school shooting where the parents of the under 18 shooter, what had they not done for the preceding years, and yes years prior, these things don’t happen overnight, it is years that lead someone up to this. I also believe as a parent you are responsible for what your child does with your firearm, not only because it’s your firearm but you raised the child. Now if you had done everything in your power and something bad happened that is different but I don’t think I’ve seen any case where that is true.
Problem with red flag laws is not only potential abuse but also the fact that someone who knows their guns will be taken is unlikely to seek help for their mental state when they need it. Also, like universal background checks it's a good excuse for politicians to push for a national firearms registry if not in the initial bill (and likely unannounced to the public) then at some point down the road as there is no way to enforce them very well without it and registry is extremely likely to become blanket confiscation at some point when a politician gets a wild hair.
Procedure. Seems to me that there’s a lot of children/adults w/mental health issues. Unfortunately the media seems to fixate on the tools, not the issues that cause these events. I believe the parents/ authorities be should bear some responsibility. 29:50
How about home school? Your kids would be better off if you home school them to begin with. And, they’d go further in life. They would also be safer as well.
That is a good question. I have taught home schooled kids as well, and I have found them in general to be unprepared for life and not well adjusted socially. I will have to make a video about this.
Thanks for the video and going into a controversial topic. Good info, but my experience in legal matters and mental health gives me zero faith in the type of process you would like to see as that process would strongly skew toward the government and against citizens, gun owners, and parents very quickly and rights would be trampled for the "benefit" of society. Another comment described security and hardening facilities seems to work well in Israel for example surprised you didn't bring that up, but I appreciate it's unseemly be well sir.
Hey Jason, did you unsubscribe me bruh? Jason I have my solution to these type of situations I've have my comments removed on TH-cam. I must admit the comments were very strong apparently too strong so I will keep them to myself... I don't know if you are a Christian or not but our politicians/Government works against us as the people..! 😎

That is a great point!
Some interesting points to think about as long as we get the due-“process” right.
Need more retro builds, you are my favorite utuber on this.
Thanks for sharing your perspective. Highly informative.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I like your thoughts on due process.
Thank you so much!

Yes, but I think it is because the GA law enforcement agencies are better at their jobs.
oh man...don't jinx it.
don't forget. this time last year we were sneaking up on 110F in NTX.
You are right. But I have to enjoy this weather while I can.
I'm in Bowie county at the Arkansas line and it's beautiful today and looks like it will be nice all week.

That is a great question. I think it has something to do the how the male mind is more hardwired for violence as an outgrowth of being hunter gathers.
@@thetexasgunvault2 Thanks Jason👍

Thank you as always!

You are 100% right. The parents are just as to blame.

Metal detectors, armed guards on patrol during school hours, armed teachers.

@@thetexasgunvault2 Okay, I'm sick of the TH-cam platform bruh, it seems they are anti 1st, 2nd and 5th amendments!!! 😎
