Vampire Bats: the Only Mammals to Feed on Blood

The vampire bats, in the subfamily Desmodontinae, are notable for being the only mammals to feed exclusively on blood. Have a look as I explain their many unique adaptations that allow them to survive with this diet. I will then dive into the 3 living and 3 known extinct species and explain what is currently known about them.
