@chrisbauermusic Hi Chris, Thanks heaps, that would be great if I could use the backing track. I do have one for Misty, but it doesn't swing like yours. Although that may just be my playing! 😂
I sure wish you would get more views. People just don't value talent the way they used to. the chromatic harmonica is a lovely instrument. Perfect for jazz.
Many years ago I got to see Toots Thielmans play in Seattle. Yesterday I was remembering what an incredible show that was and I searched for a couple of his concerts on youtube. And today the algorithm showed me you. I really loved your take on Misty and I'll watch some more.
Excellent Chris! Your playing is always so pleasant and easy to listen to. So glad I caught this as soon as you released it here. Hope all is good by you.
My favorite tune for practicing in Eb on the chromatic. Can't even come close to the runs that you do, Chris, but still fun to play along as best I can.
reat version Chris, from my favorite piece. I wanted to ask you if you don't like playing the Seydel Chromatic? Or which is the best chromaticism in 10 or 12 hole accordions for you. Greetings from Germany from Werner
Wow, I really like this. Thanks a lot for posting. I’m a drummer of 20+ years and now getting into harmonica. Please what model harmonica are you playing in this video?
One my favorite songs ever, absolutely lovely jazzy rendition by you. I hope to play like you one day😳 What key is this one in? I like how low it can go, may have to get that for my first harp.
Great playing meastro. Great intonation, expression and passion. Superb sense of rhythm you have. One of my all time favorite jazz numbers. I've just bought my first chromatic, arriving tomorrow. I've played diatonic for five years, but looking forward to a new challenge. I'd be grateful if I could pick your brains in due course. I'm presuming it's best to pucker as opposed to tongue block with a chromatic?
Thanks! Feel free to ask questions and I’ll do my best to answer them (and hopefully not confuse things!). I do play pucker but you’ll find that many chromatic players use tongue block. I found that method many years ago to be cumbersome. Obviously for octaves and other intervals I have to tongue block. But single notes are always pucker for me. I think whatever you’re comfortable with is the best way to go
I especially love your chromatic Jazz playing. Are you playing soon in the Clinton,Branchburg, Somerville, Edison, New Brunswick area? A friend of mine who jams with me in Flemington said he recently saw you in Clinton, jazzing it up on the chromatic.😎
I've never played a chromatic before. Do you have any recommendations about the lowest or suitable price range chromatics that can be played flawlessly as yours?
Thanks so much! I’ve been playing the Suzuki SCX chromatics which are reasonably priced and very reliable! The Easttop chromatics aren’t bad either and are a little cheaper than the Suzuki’s. Hope that helps!
Thank you for sharing this wonderful music. I could easily spend 6 months just learning by listening. A good project for 2024. 😊
Thanks!! Glad to hear you like it! Let me know if you want the backing track I used.

Love every bit of it. I'm a diatonic guy, but I play a little chromatic. I've got to get to work!

Awesome , what key is your Harmonica ?
Swingin'!
Класс 👍
Beautiful, Chris! Can I ask where you source your backing tracks?
Sorry so late in replying. I use Hal Leonard tracks, custom Band in a Box arrangements, or tracks on TH-cam. Hope that helps!
Please teach us to play this!
