  • Helmets are essential for motorcycle riding, and as advanced with more protection design, they can be costly as well.
    So instead of lugging your helmet around when you are out having coffee in a cafe, or going for a movie, or having a walkabout around the mall to shop, why not secure it on your bike?
    In this video, I will share the 2 techniques I use to secure your helmet well and also lower down your risk of having helmet theft.
    Here are the products link that I shared in my video for you guys to check out:
    For the spring coil lock, there are quite a lot of stores out there that you can buy it from. You can check out the hardware stores or DIY stores in Singapore. I also have checked out another similar helmet lock from Motorwerks which I have added the link below too!

    Great accessory! ... By the way, how about putting a bike alarm together with it? At least when someone makes an attempt, it will alarm. Some sort of first layer of protection. What do you think?

    • @Motorgrapher
      @Motorgrapher  ปีที่แล้ว

      There is an alarm type of padlock that can be used for the helmet bag or to lock the helmet itself too. It helps deter to a certain extend, especially not everyone will respond if the alarm sound, and the thief reacts like "the owner" and keep calm and try to figure it out kind of thing. But yeah, it helps a bit!

    @guystreamsstuff7841 ปีที่แล้ว

    How do you do with an open helmet (the ones without the chin part?

    • @Motorgrapher
      @Motorgrapher  ปีที่แล้ว

      Open helmet only can use D ring. Locking the helmet via D ring is not fool proof though, if someone wants to steal it, they will just cut off the strap and re fix another strap . So if you really want to secure your helmet better, then get the helmet bag. Or after locking with the D ring, just cover your helmet with a cheap drawstring cover, at least you can lessen attention to your helmet.

  • @kevinh82

    • @Motorgrapher

    • @Motorgrapher

      There is inner mesh lining and thick metal cable that prevents. Puncturing the felt is possible but stealing stuff through the mesh isn't. So yeah if it can be cut, the lock and cable indeed is useless.

      In my own opinion, I find investing on one time purchase for the deemeed helmet bag to secure my helmet which costs equivalent or higher is worth it, depends on individual preferences, you can still go for the 1st technique I shared too. Most importantly, secure your helmet for lower risk of theft, that's the key point of this video.

    Hjc i30 no Dring! Wanted an I100 but it will be stolen. Why..
    Kraub. Should tell HJC to put D -rings on the helmet to lock it to bike posts. D ring on the strap at least, but you know some will cut the strap to steal it. Should be an afternarket diy drill in D ring

    • @Motorgrapher
      @Motorgrapher  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yup, if someone die die wants to steal your helmet, they will just cut the strap if locked openly so sometimes, covering your helmet with cheap helmet draw string covers helps to prevent attraction, or just use more secured helmet bag.

    Thats why I hate bikes, you cant store a shit and the obvious things like helmet locks are not inbuilt in bikes which makes bike look ugly. Basic things like gps screen and remote key are not there which are available in cheapest electric bikes, so you have to mount your phone

    • @Motorgrapher
      @Motorgrapher  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Oh man.. In Singapore, all riders has to install a unit device for our road pricing payments so yeah the dashboard is so filled up, it feels like Darth Vadar bathroom . I still wonder, why newer bikes has their helmet hooks removed . One of them is the new R15 compared to the older models, underseat hooks are no longer there hm

    • @Sponge_Bob_Square_Pants
      @Sponge_Bob_Square_Pants 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @Motorgrapher traditional motorbikes were completely impracticable, bikers kept the spirit by dragging impracticallity and manufacturers didn't care as they were busy revving up engine. But now things are getting changed with electric bikes, they have smart display with gps and big boot for helmet phones, jackets.
