    Thank you for this great video, it's exactly what I needed after checking my old saddles today.

      Thank you. It works well. I have been using this method for years and have saddles that are well over 40 years old that are still in great shape.

    Great job! The saddle looks so much better than it did 👍.

    Oh, in a spray bottle, yeah! Never thought to use this until somebody showed me the trick when I had a literal ton of saddles to clean. Sure, it's not a deep oil or conditioning, but to clean up in a hurry it's great!

    I have an old Bona Allen. I cleaned it with soap and water. Then I applied Neats Foot Oil once a day for two weeks to get it supple. Then I finished it off with a coat of petroleum jelly. I cleaned the silver conchos with Flitz metal cleaner.

    Quick tip lightly use a wire brush on your rough out seat and fenders works with a lot less effort and bring it up like new

      That saddle wrack was made for me by a welder out of old horse shoes. It's a custom job.

    Should I take of the latigo off before cleaning? I bought my first saddle and it was sitting in a barn for a while and I want to clean it before riding

    • @lonestarwoman
      @lonestarwoman  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Honestly I Never take off the latigo. If it's leather give it the same treatment as the saddle
