You can literally hear the wood. Man, that's heartbreaking. Almost a century old. You can almost taste that shit. I learned to play this note for note on a cedar top, 2014, Chinese knock off. It's a good little guitar. But it hasn't got any age and you can hear it. Nice tune Andreas. Very cool bro.
Hey Brian, thanks a lot for commenting. Yes, some instruments only gets better with age, especially if they're built from great solid woods to begin with. You also really feel the wings of history when you play it, who knows what it has been through. It's great that you learned this little ditty, even though I have to give most credit for this one to Son House.
Your Irish bro..Your kind was the worse treated.Even worse than the slaves because they said that the slave had some worth and the Irish didn’t.True story.

I like your music. I am a Classical Guitarist. I studied 1972 in Germany with Meistro Burno Schmidt. I play electric guitar, slide, acoustic and bass. I have tons' of digitized sheet music. You do a very nice job of using the bass. I am impressed and amazed.
I never really got going in my search to be a player. But, I always keep coming back to this video for inspiration. Any recommendations for learning to play that kind of music?

This is an old video sort of. But I just wanted to say, when I found this video, I was not in a great mood. I had a terrible day and I needed something to cheer me up. Found this video and I cried, no joke. This is truly beautiful and I never realized how much I needed this in my life. Now I can't stop listening to this on repeat. MUCH LOVE
Recently went through a break up, found this gem and played it when the sun was coming out in the morning, beautiful. This lifted me up a lot. Thank you for putting a smile on my face :)
A long straight Highway in the middle of nowhere 110 degrees in the shade a huge ghostly heat mirage rising from the road and this playing just awesome.
I always listen to this style when doing work. I'm in high school and average five hours of homework a night. I really enjoy this video so thanks a lot man!
@Tom Foley You are right, though I'm not referring to this song only. There are some clear examples of "plagiarism", notably in the lyrics (like in dazed and confused) where led zep intentionally didn't give credit to the artists that wrote the songs
Fantastic, sounds like it comes from the Deltic region, the beginning of a film. When talking about the blues, the music of the south, The black blues players sitting on porches and the influences for Elvis.
quaint but lovely sounds.......never quite heard a guitar played like the way you play it....kind of puts one in a trance or maybe these vibrations sync well with the delicious mutton biryani I just had!
It was certainly difficult to first pick up Travis picking, but I was able to back in middle school. The tricky part is making the thumb independent from your other fingers
it reminds me of when you go outside and the sun is super bright and you squint your eyes and it glimmers you know the feeling
It's 115 in the shade, my advice is to climb in the ice box and shut the door

Why do I feel like I'm chopping rocks in a hot southern jail right now?
I don't know why I'm laughing right now.It may be your comment or this music 😂
I think if you were busting rocks in a southern prison, you’d know it.
If Chopping is the name of your cell mate and "hot southern jail" is a euphemism for your corn hole, then, it's probably because you are.
