I have heard the crux of the message many times before, but never have I heard the context of handing the keys (authority) of this world over to the devil. That part was profound. The death of Jesus meant a judgment of Satan personally not only was Satan judged, but also his entire demon cohort John 12:31 Now judgment is upon this world; now the prince of this world will be cast out. Now is the time for judgment on this world; now the prince of this world will be driven out. The time for judging this world has come, when Satan, the ruler of this world, will be cast out. John 16:11 and about judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned. Colossians 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; 15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
