I think the long term vision statement was telling...It's a sandbox where you spend allot of time to make your house/town, level up all your gear and then attack each other PVP. If this is it, I'm not sure the majority of people will keep playing. If I'm not mistaken they are looking for this as an incredible world overall (graphics, lore) though with a more traditional MMO offering of quests, group dungeons and large variety of monsters and some NPC's. I can see why we are, where we are now after this, thank you. The vision is now shifting as the player base leaves the game as it takes much too long for cutting trees and travel for more casuals and the hard cores want allot to take longer so they can rule the PVP and knock off the casuals. Will be very interesting to see where we go from here, I think they are adjusting the best they can to a player base with different expectations. I have hundreds of hours in though like some, won't do this again until substantial changes are made not to the beginning but overall (gold, markets, travel, creatures) and a clear end game strategy.
Totally agree. PvE should be like EQ or FFXI. Make PvE First to engage and add encounter locking so people can no longer zerg content. Keep the pvp its own thing with Most damage dealt for loot and no encounter locking in its own area and you could make a good game.
Some of the interview answers were informative but would like to have seen those asking questions stick more on topic with the current update, rather than getting too far into the future. I pulled up this interview with the hopes of seeing and hearing more about what's in store for Nov 5 rather than what might happen in future updates. It also seemed a bit...off topic for interviewers to be offering suggestions, rather than asking questions about the update.
I love the game, but development is slow, i was hoping for the feudal system and market system to come to the game in this major update, for my clan this update does not change enough to keep playing for the moment, sadly.
No one wants to put hundreds of hours into testing a game that is required to get anywhere knowing there will probably be wipes every few months for little changes. If they want players to pay to test their product they should do things like increase gather rates etc for the testing period.
Kinda seems like you're taking a combat system that sucked, but was possible to accomplish with cheese, into a combat system that just sucks and is impossible without a clan army. Losing hope for this game, not gonna lie.
@@brontsmoth671 stay tuned after the update hits I will be posting a State of PvP video evaluating the current meta at each level from 1v1 and 1 v Many to Clan v Clan! Should be informative and I don't know what to expect from it!
