If Homelander actually hit the fucking gym and trained with supes who can stand up to him, he might become stronger. Or imagine him training at 10, 20, 30, or even 50 times Earth's gravity. Imagine a version of Superman who doesn't have the Kryptonite weakness. That's what a fully-trained Homelander would be like.
Ryan is obviously gonna be way more powerful than his dad because he’s the first natural born supe ever, and can’t wait to see him beat Homelander down.

Remember Homelander has ZERO fighting experience and has never had a true challenge. His moveset even shows this. Most of his attacks are to play keep away and rely on ranged attacks with his lasers. His parries and throws have little to no weight behind them and his punches and kicks look extremely stiff. Homelander is barely using any technique and resorts to just using his powers. He even leaves himself wide open when he taunts or talks smack during his throws. His powers can only take him so far before characters like Ermac, Geras and Havik (who all have powers but know how to fight) overwhelm him
They do say he can destroy the planet but i don't think he could physically destroy the earth. I feel like they say that as in he'll destroy everything on the earth.

Ultimatum has Heat Vision, X Ray Vision, Ice breath, Flight, Slowed Ageing and Superhuman all, can burn 50 asteroids to ash with his heat vision, can turn the moon into an ice sculptor with his ice breath, can see through anything with his x ray vision, can walk across the entire earth in 2 atto seconds by walking with his super speed, can crack the earth into billions of pebbles by lightly stepping his pinky on the ground, can have all 8 planet in the solar system smashed against him at once and only get a black eye with his strength and durability He also ages every 500 years
I personally believe that Homelander from Dynamite Comics is at the weakest wall level+, subsonic+, and 5 ton lifting. And his strongest scaling for the Dynamite comics version is hypersonic to maybe FTL+ and maybe star level due to the tachyon and swimming on the sun statement by Butcher. Although I think Butcher was more or less referring to the Vought Comic’s version of Homelander. Vought comics homelander is the version of Homelander that Vought presents to the public through their comics. This version of Homelander most likely has been portrayed as being able to move faster than tachyons and swim on the sun. This version is also the version that fought the Invaders, a fictional alien race within The Boys universe. As for show Homelander, he is Nuke level due to him inheriting his father’s durability, which means he inherited his heat resistance, and radiation resistance. In fact, because Homelander has more powerful lasers than Butcher, and Butcher’s lasers were able to cut/burn Soldier Boy, who can withstand nuke level heat blasts, it would mean that Homelander can also damage nuke level characters. The show runner also said that Show Homelander is more powerful than dynamite comic homelander. Then there is also the Mortal Kombat stuff, which makes that version of Homelander black hole level. So a comp Homelander is actually cracked as hell. In fact, he’s more cracked than people give him credit for.

Homelander is very underrated to me, he has powerful abilities people say characters like Batman and Ironman can beat homelander but I don't see how the hell they could ever beat him at all, homelander mainly only loses to these extremely powerful characters

The power plant explosion was literally calculated on vsbattle wiki to be 43 tons.
