      Two questions. First, did you gift or pay this youtuber for this review? The furniture is indeed a modern take of a simple office setup so my second question is that this shouldn't an expensive build using simple parts so why have you charged this ridiculous price? I'm going to go out on a limb and say that there is no way anyone could justify such insane prices in this day and age when you could do a similar job without automation for less than half your price.

      @@Jake-xh8mm I just got an Idasen and combined it with a Gerton solid beech top. It cost me roughly a third of the price of the similarly sized Sway desk. But, I'm not so sure it's exactly comparable. My top is not perfectly level and you can see some gaps between the underside of the top and the frame. Also, I had to sand and lacquer my top by myself, and then hand buff until it was smooth enough to warrant using as a desk surface. Furthermore, the Idasen is rated at roughly half the weight capacity of the Sway. The Idasen is very stable however, with minimal rock and wobble. Interested to see a wobble test done on this desk and to see the quality of the gears/motors used. The Idasen uses budget motors but they're still made in Denmark by Linak and the gears are very robust.

    this is gorgeous. I use a dell business laptop that I got for $150 from a company getting rid of old computers and the dock that goes with it. I just have it under my 34inch 3440x1440 ultrawide. With a cheap bluetooth keyboard and mouse that are nice looking but cheap lol. The desk I use came with the house we bought. The most expensive piece of my setup is my monitor haha. I use my setup mostly for contract work (IT Contractor). But also do alot of video editing for our church to post to social media.

It's not what I've been looking for, but I'm feeling the temptation rising to get one, though I'd be more comfortable being able to physically sit in one first. Through bluetooth they are unusable, horrible lag, won't recognise the logi options app.

    I thoroughly enjoyed watching your desk setup video! But I didn't see anywhere in the video or in the description the audio used. Just in case anyone was wondering what song was used here it's Looks Inviting by Ealot.

    Hi Michael! I rly like your videos! And I saw the last one of your desk setups from 2019 and I don’t understand why are you change the headphone form Bose QE 35ii to this one from senhaiser? I rly want to By the one from Bose but I want to hear your opinion. Thank you! Have a great day! 💪🏻

      The Bose is still one of my favorites. The only reason I got Sennheiser is because I wanted to dip my toes in the audiophile realm with my first open back headphones. 😊

    How do you like the 2018 MacBook Pro ? Do you have any of the overheating issues ? Which graphics card did you get in that ?

    • @MichaelSoledad
      @MichaelSoledad  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Very happy! No issues to report in the 6-7 months I’ve owned it. I still think the Touch Bar is the most gimmicky thing ever. I have the Vega 20 graphics card with 32Gb of RAM. Editing in 4K works great and I haven’t really experienced any over heating. Occasionally I would hear the fan kick in but that’s just about it.

    what type of wood option is your desk? and what type is the desk pad as well?

    • @MichaelSoledad

      I chose the walnut version at 30x60. The desk pad is made by Grovemade and it’s made of out linoleum

    Thanks for the video and inspiration!! Is the ikea chair's comfortable for long hours sitting and considering I'm 6'1"?

    • @MichaelSoledad
      @MichaelSoledad  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wouldn’t recommend it for large or tall people because of the back rest. It doesn’t really go high enough. If you can, definitely try it out in person at a store. But the cushion itself is very comfortable.

    That Alefjall (Al-ef-hall) chair is the MVP for any desk setup that's often underappreciated. Any replacement for that chair that's under $200 would be well appreciated.
