The most amazing thing I've ever witnessed when it comes to childbirth was with a 16 year old girl. She was my neighbor and I tucked her under my wing. I was there throughout her pregnancy and birth of her daughter. Her pregnancy was a good one, no morning sickness, she was very healthy, no problems at all. She came over one day while I was sitting on my front porch drinking coffee with another neighbor. She was standing up and was telling me she just could not get comfortable, I thought it was just because she was 8.5 months along until the gush came. She said, "I just peed myself!" I said, " No, you didn't. Your water just broke. Time to go to the hospital." So we grab her go bag and husband, loaded her into the car and took off. She was not in any pain at all. The doctor checked her at the hospital and to everyone's surprise she was already 7cm dilatated! I called her mother while she was being checked in. About 1.5 hours later I start noticing she kept going to the bathroom, so I started timing her trips. She still was not in any pain at all and the monitor was not picking up any major contractions. Upon the realization her bathroom trips were exacting 1 minute apart, I look at her mother and told her she needed to be checked and why. Her mother told the nurse and not one but two nurses were blowing it off, saying that she was fine and it was going to be a while before they checked her because the more they checked the more of a chance of infection. But her mother really forced the issue which angered the nurses but they finally did check her and to their surprise, the babies head was already out! Now she still was not having any pain at all, but what happened next was horrible. One of the nurses run out of the room to get a doctor, while the other nurse actually pushed the baby's head back in and then told her to hold on til the doctor got there. THAT's when the pain set in. This poor girl was up on her hands and knees rocking back and forth in so much pain from having the baby pushed back in her and trying not to push. It took the doctor 30 minutes to get there and I heard one of the nurses say that they may have to deliver the baby if the doctor didn't get there soon. They both looked scared as h*ll. Finally the doctor got there, gloved up and told her she could push. One big push and out came a beautiful baby girl. 9 lbs. 10 oz! Mommy and baby were great.
I'm goodness this is my story as well as my you best daughters labor story. I didn't listen to the stupid nurses and pushed my baby out. Twenty years later it happened the same way to my daughter . I told her push if you need to and everything went well. Never ever let the nurses tell you to hold that baby in. There's alwaysnsomebody in the hospitsl that is capable to deliver your baby
They don’t push babies back inside anymore. Hopefully this wasn’t recent. Ridiculous they ever did it to begin with - all about the doctor being able to bill for the delivery.
I'm glad she and the baby are ok. That's absolutely criminal, I would have sued for assault. Shoving the baby back inside me and making me hold it in for 30 minutes so he can get a paycheck? Gtfoh.
Honestly THIS CAN HAPPEN. I had a lovely friend in high-school that had abdominal pains and went to the bathroom...and promptly gave birth to her first child at 16 years old!! She was also stick thin in high-school.
Exactly the same thing happened to my cousin about 25 years ago. She was the same, extremely thin and had no idea until she gave birth on the toilet to a baby girl. Then about a year later the same thing but this time a baby boy. She then had her tubes tied as she didn't want it happening again. Our bodies are absolutely incredible ♥️♥️
I had natural child birth, my choice. I think after awhile, our mind goes numb bc of the intensity of the pain. I gained 12lbs with my 1st child ( boy) and 15lbs with my 2nd ( girl). Nurses kept telling me it was ok to scream, I didn't. I remember the lady in the next room beside me screaming. It was scary. My son was 6 lbs 20 ozs, daughter 5lbs 13 oz. I was scared to do anything they offered, stating it would numb me, could paralyze me...so, I choose natural child birth. 18 hrs with my son, 16 with my daughter. I was wore out but would not change the choices I made. So happy for this Mother and her beautiful little girl. Just like her, I stayed active. I never had sickness with either. So blessed.💞💞💞
I didn’t get as far as you because I felt a flutter under my belly button like butterfly’s wings brushing against me. It turned out I was five months pregnant-had him at 7. My surprise miracle. ❤️
I feel so many flutters and something slightly moving, i took pregnancy test but came out negative,my periods are regular, but sometimes i feel something like smooth kick, I am so confused, am i pregnant or is this just gas Can't do ultrasound because i am not sure about the results.
I always made sure I had an epidural ready to go but with my second boy I was a little late an I was only dialated to 5 and it was excruciating I couldn't even handle that so I can't imagine how women give birth naturally 🤯 finally I got the epidural and I was back to no pain an it went great! They put a mirror in front of me so I could see him coming out it was so cool 🥰
I did it because I'm in the carribbean and they don't have any medicine to give. No epidural. 🤣 I was so upset when I found that out in the hospital room while having contractions.

I’m always surprised at people’s disbelief that a woman can actually give birth to a ‘healthy’ baby without prenatal care. As if prenatal care creates ‘health’ in a child and the lack thereof negates it. Women have been giving birth to healthy babies without medical intervention for centuries! And most women who’ve had a normal pregnancy can attest to the fact that not a whole lot goes on during prenatal visits. It’s mainly monitoring-nothing miraculous. The miracle is the baby itself, not prenatal care.
A lady who we knew was tall, she knew she was pregnant, but she didn't show at all. Even in her final month. She had a large baby. My sister in law who blew up like a air balloon had a small baby, my nephew.
I had the same experience. Went to the hospital after the pain persisted for over 2 hrs and then decided to go to the hospital. They did an exam and told me I was at 4 cm and I was gna have a baby that day. I had to make the call that I was having a baby and everyone freaked out. People don't realize how easy it is to have a surprise baby
Yes, my mom did at age 39. Her third after 12 years of not being pregnant. She had no symptoms like she did with my brother and I. She found out because she had an abdominal X-ray. The doctor said we found out why you have a lot of gas, you have a belly full of arms and legs. She was 6 months pregnant.

Most women of my stature successfully have 6 pounders. I also had vaginal births with no issues.

I was just 18 when I had my first baby. She came early, so I wasnt expecting it. I was working in a natural foods restaurant, raw food vegan. Wonderful food! It was November and we broke out of the mode of only raw foods, we made a lovely potato soup. I started getting "gas pains" after eating it. I told them, this soup is bad. Its making me sick. I keep having gas pains from it. One of the other workers said, we should time your "gas pains". After a short while I was driven home.. a half hour later my daughter was born. I had no idea I was in labor. I felt like I had to go to the bathroom when I was pushing her out, Someone helped me back to bed, or she would have been born in the bathroom.
Most people have pretty obvious symptoms of pregnancy when they are pregnant. If you're worried, you can get those bulk pregnancy test strips online or one from the dollar store and take it every few months to be sure.
I was 85 lbs. when I got pregnant with my second daughter in 1980. My delivery weight was 125 lbs. Had both of my kids within 45 min. of getting to the hospital. Natural childbirth, LaMase breathing makes all the difference. A big feeling, but not real painful. Like running a marathon when prepared vs no training, you'd describe it as exhilarating vs excruciating. My baby will be 43 next month!
I find it incredible how easy pretty much all animals have birth. Really makes you think on if we are doing something wrong and that’s why it’s so incredibly bad.
@@addyshorhnr3544 That's because we have big babies, whereas our pelvises are fairly narrow so that we could walk on 2 legs! And no, not all animals give birth easily -- I've myself seen a video of a cow whose calf was stuck in her pelvis (typical shoulder dystocia), and the farmer had to turn it around in order to save them both!
I was married and 20 when I had my only successful birth. Thirteen hours of labor I can't remember. Don't be scared off by all these stories ladies. I know it's natural to have some pain, but everybody's different. My daughter was in labor for over 40 hours and they were going to do a C-section but she asked to wait a little longer because she had worked so hard and wanted a vaginal birth. My granddaughter was born with the help of suction. She's a beautiful woman soon to be 28. My daughter went on the have 2 more children, but by c- section. If she went thru an exceptionally long labor and still had 2 more babies I'd say she thought it was worth it!
Mine was induced against my will nearly a month before her due date. And I'm still having troubles believing how a 4'15 lb 19 inch long on her getting stuck on the way out. The doctors had to do a basically emergency C section. I was 43 at the time. She is now not far from turning 18. By the way my fiance, her bio dad thought up to the seventh month I had gone thru menopause. I finally got him to get me a kit to check.
The pain is excruciating, but clearly not to bad or none of us would be here LOL....My mother, grandmother, great grandmother etc. all had natural births. My mom was horrified that I got the shot aka epidural, but it definitely beats the alternative....I waited not by choice until I was dilated 8 centimeters. I knew I was getting that epidural without a doubt.
My mom was in a 24 hour labor which is on the short time term in her family as well as i was on the lighter side of weight. I was 8lb 13oz which was small in my family when her grandmother's smallest child was 12lb. My mom also threatened to shove the epidermal needle where the sun didn't shine on the man that asked her if she wanted epidermal. She not a fan of having pain relief when giving birth saying that women did it for centuries with out drugs then she can as well. She does not shame in any way of women getting the needle when in labor. Also she had to have shots the entire time she was carrying me do her blood type being AB- and mine be an O+ and her own body trying to kill me so she wasn't about to have another shot that could have killed me and she was glad since I stopped breathing at a week old and had and still have heart issues. She is a firm believer that if she had gotten the epidermal then there would have been more issues. Should also point out that mom is also a firm believer in getting Vaccines.
My best friend was pregnant but she didn’t know because she had a period every month. The only thing she was craving Sprite Soda she had to have one every day. I told her she was pregnant because she hated sprite soda but she just laughed at me and said girl just had my period. I told her yes you are. She had a baby girl.
I can't imagine that pain but because I commented on the video I'm getting the notifications from the comments. The pain levels among women or even among births can vary due to various factors. Pain tolerance, physical reaction, body chemistry, and health all impact the experience. For example, my galpal has five children, no complications, said pain level made her sweat and grasp things and thought her 5th would be the same, it was not. It was such an experience, took months to recover, and she stopped having children. Another friend her brain fog from pregnancy never left and she had to change jobs, no one warned her of this. It was financially and mentally challenging. I used to have a job where we were physically fit, women worked until a few days before birth, you could seldom tell they were pregnant like this video and then back at work a few days later. On the other hand, I know many women who physically/mentally never recovered and this should be considered. It all depends on the person not 'pushing through it' or 'toughness'. Rarely do women faint but even fainting during pregnancy needs reporting. Our bodies have the system to give birth but even then it is a risk in some places so seeking medical care is important. I think the US is pretty high in maternal mortality. The more we learn the more we need to prepare people for the process. Actually would help to learn all this before pregnant. Thankful for YT and those who share their stories so women can make more informed decisions.
I think it’s like 97% of women that say “I never thought I was pregnant I swear!!” Is due to simple delusion and NOT WANTING IT TO BE. Denial can me a MF. Then there’s theres the 2% of women that really didn’t know they were pregnant but usually give birth prematurely. At like 7-8 months. Then there’s that ONE who really didn’t know. But yah, I find it to be complete denial. They know they just don’t want to believe it.
Actually, while there are potentially a lot of different symptoms of pregnancy, not all women have all these symptoms, and if there are only a few symptoms they might get mistaken for something else (as was the case here)!
I've seen a lot of these stories. Some women have very few symptoms, and the ones they do have are easily explained by something else. Some women are heavier or have tilted uteruses which means they won't show that much. Not every woman has regular periods. My sister has PCOS and only has a period every 4-6 months. Plus you can sometimes have bleeding during pregnancy that women can mistake for a period. I've also seen episodes that show a woman who has been told she can't get pregnant. If you think pregnancy is impossible, you're more likely to dismiss being extra tired or having a back ache or gaining a little weight as something else.
God my last labor literally felt like somebody was taking my hip bones and ripping them apart, it felt like one leg was going one way and the other one was going another way. It hurt so bad I got sick multiple times and literally, just could not move because I thought I was falling apart. Oh my gosh it hurt
For those people who wonders how can someone not know that they're pregnant ... These cases are called cryptic pregnancy this can happen to most of the women who have pcos, irregular menstrual cycle, fertility issues, etc., those women mostly experience light bleeding or spotting throughout their pregnancy, their tests don't show a positive results and finally about the baby movements most of them cannot feel it bcoz of the anterior placenta placement which make them harder to recognize those movements
I was in the emergency room once and the woman on the other side of the curtain was explaining her symptoms to the DR. I thought nothing of it as it was none of my business. I saw her walk by to give a urine sample. She just looked like a heavy set girl. A while later the nurse barged in, pulled the curtain back and said "how did you not know you were pregnant?! You're in labor!" That got my attention!! They rushed her off to the maternity ward. I sat there thinking, what just happened?! I've had 3 kids and was big as a barn
I have to say, I had 2 natural home births and never thought I was dying BUT once I had a kidney stone and oooh my good God I was sure I was dying. I kept telling my mother and sister I was sorry for leaving them. My brother drove me to the hospital so fast. Never once while giving birth was I ever convinced I was dying. Id have another baby, I NEVER WANT ANOTHER STONE!
@@nicoleackerman205 I've actually been told by a nurse that a ruptured appendicitis hurts far more than childbirth (she had personally experienced both) -- so this makes it official, childbirth is NOT the worst pain in the world!
I uses to wonder if these stories until I saw one of my staff give birth. She was convinced she had a tummy bug. I took her to the boardroom to wait for her husband to pick her up. Within minutes she gave birth to a beautiful little boy. An ambulance arrived just as hubby did. She had never looked pregnant.
The fact that she believed she was dying really proves how excruciating giving birth is.
They say it’s the equivalent to having your bones crushed..
I’ve done it twice, both with pain relief and ending in c-sections.

Wow, they could have ☠️ that baby by doing that! Glad she survived.
@@mimimonster That was 17 years ago. And yes it was all about the billing.
Wow what a wonderful story. Am so glad that the cause of the pain was not from an illness. Thank GOD it was the cause of a Miracle baby 👶.
The pain of giving birth I'm sure is horrific but to feel that pain not knowing you're giving birth most be pure terror.
At least, after going through it once, a woman will never NOT know what labor feels like again. :)
Wow, amazing story!! Thanks for sharing and so glad it all worked out so well!!
The strength of a woman is truly remarkable. I wish we were more supportive of one another. 💕🙏🏾
JUST WONDERFUL THIS STORY!!!!! 💥👏💁♀️👏💥

I feel so many flutters and something slightly moving, i took pregnancy test but came out negative,my periods are regular, but sometimes i feel something like smooth kick,
I am so confused, am i pregnant or is this just gas
Can't do ultrasound because i am not sure about the results.
Do you know why you couldn’t really feel him? Like did you have an anterior placenta or tilted uterus?
My question is over the years did they have more children?
No, just the one surprise baby!
This happened to a girl here years ago - she was in shock!
I am so happy for the two parents and their little bundle of joy 😊 😃 😄 ☺️
“She looked like she went through world war 3” is such an underrated line 😂😂 but oh god, this is some of the scariest shit i’ve heard
The pain was totally worth it when they put my baby in my arms it's worth it when you see and hold the baby
I did it because I'm in the carribbean and they don't have any medicine to give. No epidural. 🤣 I was so upset when I found that out in the hospital room while having contractions.
The baby looked just like her dad. Lol 😅 All of that pain to birth your husband's twin. 🤯
Or maybe ex now. They didn’t seem to be together anymore when telling their stories.
@@lovelyletter7460 How did you come to that conclusion? Mom is wearing a wedding band. I mean, she could be married to someone else but I highly doubt it.
I was 78 lbs when I first got pregnant and I was 17 yrs. I turned 18 a month after my son was born. Yes labor very painful. I got an epidural closer to delivery . Once you have the baby you forget the pain . Then I had 4 more .
I praise my daughter she had her 2 kids natural.
I know of another woman who the same thing happened to her. She didn't know she was pregnant until she was giving birth and the Dr told her.
A lady who we knew was tall, she knew she was pregnant, but she didn't show at all. Even in her final month. She had a large baby. My sister in law who blew up like a air balloon had a small baby, my nephew.
You see I like this one. They actually show you an update of the family.
Did you feel movements ,
I feel something is moving very slightly
In my belly, took pregnancy test came out negative,
Can i be pregnant or it might be just gas
I have no others symptoms
Can you tell me the symptoms were there or not
Did you still have your period every month, or at least a bleed that was mistaken for one?
@@herlittleworld8004 you may want to ask for a blood test, as some women's hormone levels are too low to show up on a urine test

How tall are you?
@@whyme6307 I’m about 5’2” and small-boned. Though, I am just your average petite and there are smaller women out there! My BMI has always been low for my height. I gained only 13-16 lbs each birth and was around 89-93 lbs starting the pregnancies. The doctor said as long as the baby was gaining weight, that’s all that mattered. Most women of my stature successfully have 6 pounders. I also had vaginal births with no issues.

@@aroollie I’m doing fine and never been diagnosed anorexic. Been to the doctor. I eat normally and a balanced diet. Why would I want to be anorexic, then lose custody of my children or die of cardiac arrest?! I am just thin, but I have curves at the same time. I have quite the hips and a butt and lots of meat in my thighs. My mother was 89 lbs when she got pregnant with me, but gained about 25 lbs. I was born 6 lb 13 oz. How can you make such a claim without seeing or knowing the person?
I was 105 when I had my first, an 8 month baby. I looked like I was carrying a grapefruit. Had a hard time getting pregnant with the first two. 13 years later I had 2=17 months apart. they thought I had a kidney stone, but a cyst had ruptured and they told me I was 6 weeks pregnant. The surprise has 9 YO twins and all the other grands have graduated now. 3 greats so far.
This was a wonderful story & beautiful ending… Or happily ever after ❤❤❤
I was just 18 when I had my first baby. I felt like I had to go to the bathroom when I was pushing her out, Someone helped me back to bed, or she would have been born in the bathroom.
awwww this is such a sweet, wholesome story! God Bless!
Beautiful story and a beautiful daughter
Imagine if this was normal that nobody knows they are pregnant until in labor
Now I'm worried about having a kid when I'm older.
It’s so worth it and her scenario is not the norm.
You don’t have to if you don’t want to
I’ve had 4. Epidurals are amazing!
Most people have pretty obvious symptoms of pregnancy when they are pregnant. If you're worried, you can get those bulk pregnancy test strips online or one from the dollar store and take it every few months to be sure.
I don't want one this seems God awful. My pain tolerance is incredibly lowwwwww✊
And no, not all animals give birth easily -- I've myself seen a video of a cow whose calf was stuck in her pelvis (typical shoulder dystocia), and the farmer had to turn it around in order to save them both!
that is wild man, it happened a long time ago but congrats on her healthy kid and pregnancy
Some people who are very active their baby bump don’t show as much as someone who doesn’t workout
Thank you for sharing because I have a cryptic pregnancy too. These are very real pregnancies. Thank you.!
Its great to give birth
I needed to hear this me and my husband are trying and that’s my biggest fear 😂😂💯
Go with courage. It’s worth it.
OMG! I don't know why but I'm crying now. So emotional ❤️
I wonder how many people look like this woman at 9 months. She was blessed.
What an awesome story! Love it
The pain is excruciating, but clearly not to bad or none of us would be here LOL....My mother, grandmother, great grandmother etc. all had natural births. My mom was horrified that I got the shot aka epidural, but it definitely beats the alternative....I waited not by choice until I was dilated 8 centimeters. I knew I was getting that epidural without a doubt.
I am only 5’1” and barely looked pregnant at all, but I knew I was pregnant. My son’s birth was no surprise.
I weighed 110 lbs when I had my son at 16. That was in 1969
People can't fathom this unless they have gone through this themselves. It does happen, and it has happened, many times, for thousands of years.
Thank God she is alright good job little one
It must be wonderful not to live in fear of being pregnant your entire life.
My best friend was pregnant but she didn’t know because she had a period every month. The only thing she was craving Sprite Soda
she had to have one every day.
I told her she was pregnant because she hated sprite soda but she just laughed at me and said girl just had my period. I told her yes you are. She had a baby girl.

A most BEAUTIFUL story!! Ty 4 sharing~❤
I don't know how anyone can not know they're pregnant
It happens
As sick as I was, me either!
That is a wonderful story.
The only time in life I was ever regular was when I was pregnant. I had my period two days before he was born.
It is such a crazy thing. I never would have believed until I knew someone that was so thin when she delivered. She knew she was pregnant tho.
Omg so the couple is still together?? 😍😍😍 i love that! Beautiful ❤❤
Oh my God was on the edge of my seat. This was a miracle.
God my last labor literally felt like somebody was taking my hip bones and ripping them apart, it felt like one leg was going one way and the other one was going another way. It hurt so bad I got sick multiple times and literally, just could not move because I thought I was falling apart. Oh my gosh it hurt
I want to get pregnant sometime in the future but reading stories like this changes my mind 😅

This woman's naivety is absolutely amazing!
I like how they’re both calling each other using the same exact aqua colored rotary telephone.
@mamadoctorjones needs to see this
For those people who wonders how can someone not know that they're pregnant ...
Or they assume that they might have gone thru menopause for the first few months due to the age of the mother.
I hate when they say push. Tell women to bear down and exhale 🤦🏾♀️ Best advice to ever give a mother in pain and confused on what to do
Congratulations to you both
