Vientiane to Vang Vieng with the bus on the new highway is definately the best option. But Vang Vieng to Luang Prabang on the fast train is now easily the best way for that part, rather than the slow hairy trip on the mini bus through the mountains. There's not much difference in the speed of the 2 different types of train. It's just one looks like a bullet train.

Good day on the road buddy. People at the stalls were rather odd. I experience exactly the same issue with queue jumpers at Happy Valley race course in Hong Kong buying our entry tickets. My mate and I were about 5th in the line to start with and all of a sudden got shunted back to around 20th. Some real rude buggers with no manners in those parts of the world. Basically no manners. Nice video Sean. 🤩

I was in Vientiane around 1995 when the friendship bridge opened from Nong
Kai. Remember the exhibition in a big main square. Mostly shiny farm equipment. There was a Wall of Death in action in the middle made of square just rocking a rolling. Could get to the top of the wall look down and watch the madness.

I was in Laos in 2007 then I went back on my bicycle in 2013 when I got too Vientiane I was with a french couple on bike's to but we went to four hotels and they all said you can have a room but leave your £2500 bike outside, this never happened in Malaysia and Thailand but after going to the 5th guest house they said leave your bike in the lobby,no problem then I did a visa run to Laos last year via savanaket and wow what a eye opener lol , take it easy Sean vang vieng I'm sure is still a lot easier than being in the UK

The girls along the road were very rude , they didn't want to even speak to you. Kinda out of place most are nice.

I found the rubbish worse in Cambodia years ago blue plastic bags littering the road side on the way to the killing fields.I hope they have improved their waste disposable.

I read something that talked about how the Chinese went to Myanmar to buy rare ,exotic endangered, protected animal parts, highly illegal in most parts of the world…..I think that’s what you may have seen along the road….. big trouble if Customs sees the parts ….
