    I love how you say, "you can use it all in the 'wrong way' and sometimes get something nice".
    I teach digital art and intentionally show the wrong ways - the way you are not supposed to. Only then you discover something original. Well done 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏✌🥳🗽👋

    I like that you say that simple pedals, with a few basic controls are 'bloody' great. I totally agree, I got rid of my Bigsky for just that reason, it's a good pedal, but I like to play while I play, too :)

    Any synth -> Mood -> Shallow Water -> Stereo Reverb of Choice. Works every time. Or reverse SW and Mood - experiment.

    I use a chain similar to your third one for ambient exploration. And also for my guitar. I use Soma Labs Cosmos to drive/arrange everything. And like you, always Mood mk.II, Shallow Water. Then Polymoon and finally UA FX Del-Verb. With delay on a woozy DMM setting, or long dark Tape mode; sometimes on slapback settings. And for reverb, I loooove the Del-verbs drippy spring if using guitar or analogue synth, plate on Vocal or Lexicon style on digital synths/samplers. The sound of mismatching mic'd stereo guitar amps adds a lot at the end of chain, with tremelo, and sometimes a little splash of spring, if I'm not using the Del-Verb Spring setting. But please can someone convince Fairfield Circuitry to do a tricked out stereo Shallow Water maybe stick a squelchy 303 or Moog stereo VCF with drippy resonance in it (Muggy Waters?).

    Question. Is there any pedals that's can do halftime in real time... Like your doing with that op-1? All my loopers do this but slowing that mood down as it's playing sounds great..... Without having to loop it

    Hey, great channel! Keep going!
    Do I need an external mixer to mix the dry channel with the effects like you do at around 3:20 or is it somehow possible to do only with Octatrack when in studio mode?

    • @Daniel-ek3nf
      @Daniel-ek3nf 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hope my question isn't too confusing. I am new to electronic music and the Octatrack. I am experimenting with the Cue outs now. I was just wondering, if I can blend my effect chain (reverb + delay pedal connected to cue outs) with the dry master signal kinda like you do with aux or if I definitely need a mixer for this? Cheers!

    Thanks for this, learned a lot! I wonder, if you’d have to choose one ‘best’ allround reverb, and one delay pedal for an analog synth like the vermona, which one would you choose?

    • @OoraMusic
      @OoraMusic  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      My two favorite reverb are Rooms and Space. As a delay i use mostly the octatrack internal one and the Benidub Echo.

    Federico, do you only operate at instrument level with your pedal set-ups? Do you ever employ re-amping, perhaps bringing in signal from a DAW? If so how do you deal with this?

      @@LoVeAmBiEnT Matty, check out ARTcessories Dual RDB if you're interested in re-amping stereo pedals. I've done a lot of research on this recently and settled on this as my solution. Curious how Federico handles his re-amping, if he even goes line level.
      Most of the pedals he's using in this video carry both line and instrument level signal, except for the Shallow Water.

    I’ve been looking for a modulated echo style pedal. I really like the fuzzy, overdriven character of the Echo Dream 2, but does it have a good “warble” too it? I really like the vibrato/tremolo sounds of the Gen Loss, Shallow Water, and other VHS tape effects so I’d love that wobble modulation alongside delay and fuzz. Cool vid.

    My least favorite among these is the echo dream 2, such weird echo machine, hard to tame, and the fact that DBA always likes to mix everything with fuzz really turned me off. I shelved the unit after about three months of using it. just couldn't find usable sound (at least for me) for my composition
