Yet naysayers would say that the botched moment that occurred between John Cena and Batista kind of took away some points. That being said, however, it still remains an exciting event in the WWE PPV list and remains a fun event to watch. That year, Batista would secure the win and move on to compete in WrestleMania. But we would be granted a stunning finish from the superstar who arrived as the very last entrant of this rendition… ‘The Nature Boy’ Ric Flair… how would his career have been different if he won the 2005 rumble? Although he ‘did’ manage to go to WrestleMania that same year, it was mainly to accompany Triple H who would ‘lose’ to Batista. If it were Ric Flair fighting Triple H… realistically Triple H would likely destroy him, even if at the time they were Evolution members. Can’t say he’d fare any better against John Bradshaw Layfield, who was also a champion at the time. Still, there has hardly been a fight Flair would ever back out of and all I can say after this is that he’d be gutsy to take on ‘any’ of these competitors at the time. But who was my MVP of this rendition of the ’05 rumble? Let’s get down to the numbers: Of the thirty competitors featured in this match, only TEN competitors secured the most eliminations (Five men short of breaking the halfway mark). The highest count of the evening reached ‘6’ eliminations, which is five points higher than the average ‘1’ elimination. The nominees for the Golden MVP Award for the ‘coolest’ performance are: Rey Mysterio… and Eddie Guerrero. These two lifelong friends took out talent after talent during the entirety of their time in this very ring. But if I have to pick between these two guys on who impressed me the most, I have to lean towards Eddie Guerrero. He came at number one giving off that ‘Latino Heat’ we expected out of him, and I almost thought he was going to win the match. That didn’t happen, but I’m proud of what he did. The Dull Participation Medal for the ‘Lamest’ performance goes to: Kane Now this would be a big shocker because given the man’s reputation we’d never even expect him to be eliminated ‘so’ early… especially by Viscera of all people. Still, even the best of competitors gets their worst nights during seasons as featured on Ricky J’s channel. This just happens to be that one episode he gets that dreaded medal from me. Against incredible odds, Ric Flair is going to the champion’s rumble against some of the toughest competition featured this season. All of which begs a few questions: Who did YOU want to win this rumble? If Scotty 2 Hotty got to compete in the rumble, would he have stood a chance? Would Shawn Michaels have gone all the way if Kurt Angle hadn’t interfered? And the biggest question of them all: Who’s next?

But the work put into it makes the painstaking process worth it. To be honest, I though Guerrero was going to win this match too. This was his best performance I've seen on his channel... if not 'one' of them.

I got this Royal Rumble PPV on DVD as a kid after it came out. My mum would always let me pick a DVD when we went to town and I'd always choose one of the wrestling PPVs haha, still got this one to this day, I remember it well

Kurt Angle is the Smartest AI in these 2K games because he eliminates them right away and he cleans house. Kurt Angle is relentless and sneaky and gives the 2K games more realism as to how Wrestlers truly should be in a Royal Rumble match just like they are in real life sneaky underhanded dirty and make the crowd hat them and crowd killers making the crowd go from cheering and excited to angry and disappointed and booing.

Yay Ric Flair deserves this one. I know we wont be able to reach all the Rumbles for this season because at this rate you'll reach up to 2018. But there are a couple of hidden Rumbles you may be not be aware about and could make the season go by faster. There actually was the First Real Royal Rumble and also known as The Forgotten Rumble because all the wrestlers forgot about it. It happened at a House Show in 1987 there was 12 guys the final two was the One Man Gang and Junkyard Dog, One Man Gang actually won it. The other participants were King Kong Bundy, Don Muraco, Bob Orton, Ax and Smash, Paul Orndorff, Hillbilly Jim, Nikolai Volkoff, Rick Rude, Davey Boy Smith, and Billy Jack Haynes. They said that Haynes was probably the one that sat out. There was also March 16, 1988, in Hartford, Connecticut winner Rick Rude Jan. 17, 1994, at Madison Square Garden in New York Winner: Owen Hart. You can see this on TH-cam May 9, 1994, in Osaka, Japan winner The Undertaker you can actually watch this match on TH-cam but in poor quality There was a Smackdown Rumble and The Corporate Rumble as well.

WWE did Danial Puter SOOOOOO Dirty!!! There was a stint to see if anyone from Tough Enough could pin Kurt Angle and make him tap, and he put him in an ankle lock that was actually the real thing, and Kurt was really in pain. People Loved Puter after that was such a good guy and everyone wanted him to win. He did eventually win but Vince was so mad at him and hated him because of that so much that they made him this punk who would get pummeled until he was released shortly after. So in case you were wondering in the real Rumble why he was a punk and said all that before the match just to be humiliated over and over, that was why.
I hear ya man.. I agree. However, Puter put Angle in a Kimura Lock and could've almost broke his arm. So on the fly, the ref counted 1 2 3 for Angle before anything could happen, really. He legit had Angle for something that the WWE challenged him to do..and he actually does it then got punished for it. At least, far as I recall..

Random Wrestling Sketches *Becky Lynch is standing in the queue for a vending machine* Becky: (thinking audibly) Ahh, nothin' like a fresh cup o' coffee to start yer mornin'. *Suddenly, Dominik Mysterio appears out of nowhere, walks up to Becky, and sticks something to her shoulder. Becky notices* Becky: Uh, excuse me? *But Dirty Dom's already walking away. Curious and perplexed, Becky removes the object and finds it's a post-it note* Becky: (reading the note aloud) "Two pounds of sweet potatoes to pick up from the mall after lunch." (as herself) Well, why'd he stick *that* to me? Weird wee lad. *Two Hours Later* *Becky is currently in a tete-a-tete with Bianca Belair. Suddenly, Dom rolls up again, climbs into the ring, and pulls out another post-it note before slapping it onto Becky's jacket. He immediately runs off again before the referee can apprehend him* Becky: (more annoyed this time) *OI!* (but, seeing as he's already escaped, she just reads the note instead) "Remember to bet 20 grand on Flashy Show-Off at the races." (crumples the note and discards it) Okay, it was unusual the first time, but now he's startin' to p**s me off. *Two More Hours Later* *Dom rounds a corner in a supermarket, to find Becky in the frozen food aisle. Checking whether anyone's watching, he pulls out yet another post-it note, and tentatively creeps towards the Irish Lass Kicker...* *Only for Nia Jax to appear out of nowhere and grab Dom from behind. As soon as he squeals in surprise, Becky spins around, grabs his collar, then she and Nia both throw him onto one of the freezer doors and pin him down* Dom: Whoa! Ow! What the heck, guys? Becky: Alright, Dirty Dom, ye dirty wee kumquat. What's this all about? Dom: What's what all about? Nia: (pressing him further down) Don't play dumb with us, Mysterio. (she starts poking him in the chest) I want to hear from ye why ye keep sneakin' up to stick yer stupid little post-it notes on me, an' I want ye to stop doin' it, or I swear on Sheamus' sideburns I'll take this ice-cream- *She picks up a tub of Neapolitan Ice-Cream and brandishes it against his cheek* Becky: An' I'll stuff it into yer cheeky little gob until yer brain literally freezes in yer head, an' then I'll *melt* yer brain until it runs out yer ears, an' then I'll collect the liquid in a bottle an' sell it to yer new wife as Brain-Boostin' Pink Juice! *Dom now looks perplexed* Nia: (leaning in) And don't tell her that's not biologically plausible, 'cause she'll do it anyway. Shortly after her, Nia joins in, and eventually, Dom follows suit, more nervously than either of them. Finally, after a good three minutes of laughter, Nia hauls Dom back to his feet and lets go of him* Becky: All right, Dom Dom. Since I'm in a nice mood now- an' that joke was solid gold- I've changed me mind. I'm not gonna kill ye, don't worry. (she pats him) But, in exchange for me mercy, I want ye to do somethin', okay? I think Ricky the reason why the 2005 royal rumble is not seen is cause that November of 2005 Eddie Guerrero died of a drug overdose and 18 months later Chris Benoit killed his family. So wwe is trying to erase them from WWE history. Cause from that point on Eddie or Benoit hardly was talked about again.

‘The Nature Boy’ Ric Flair… how would his career have been different if he won the 2005 rumble? Although he ‘did’ manage to go to WrestleMania that same year, it was mainly to accompany Triple H who would ‘lose’ to Batista. If it were Ric Flair fighting Triple H… realistically Triple H would likely destroy him, even if at the time they were Evolution members. Can’t say he’d fare any better against John Bradshaw Layfield, who was also a champion at the time. Still, there has hardly been a fight Flair would ever back out of and all I can say after this is that he’d be gutsy to take on ‘any’ of these competitors at the time.
But who was my MVP of this rendition of the ’05 rumble? Let’s get down to the numbers:
Of the thirty competitors featured in this match, only TEN competitors secured the most eliminations (Five men short of breaking the halfway mark). The highest count of the evening reached ‘6’ eliminations, which is five points higher than the average ‘1’ elimination.
The nominees for the Golden MVP Award for the ‘coolest’ performance are:
Rey Mysterio… and Eddie Guerrero.
These two lifelong friends took out talent after talent during the entirety of their time in this very ring. But if I have to pick between these two guys on who impressed me the most, I have to lean towards Eddie Guerrero. He came at number one giving off that ‘Latino Heat’ we expected out of him, and I almost thought he was going to win the match. That didn’t happen, but I’m proud of what he did.
The Dull Participation Medal for the ‘Lamest’ performance goes to:
Kane
Now this would be a big shocker because given the man’s reputation we’d never even expect him to be eliminated ‘so’ early… especially by Viscera of all people. Still, even the best of competitors gets their worst nights during seasons as featured on Ricky J’s channel. This just happens to be that one episode he gets that dreaded medal from me.
Against incredible odds, Ric Flair is going to the champion’s rumble against some of the toughest competition featured this season. All of which begs a few questions: Who did YOU want to win this rumble? If Scotty 2 Hotty got to compete in the rumble, would he have stood a chance? Would Shawn Michaels have gone all the way if Kurt Angle hadn’t interfered? And the biggest question of them all:

I got this Royal Rumble PPV on DVD as a kid after it came out. My mum would always let me pick a DVD when we went to town and I'd always choose one of the wrestling PPVs haha, still got this one to this day, I remember it well

Kurt Angle is relentless and sneaky and gives the 2K games more realism as to how Wrestlers truly should be in a Royal Rumble match just like they are in real life sneaky underhanded dirty and make the crowd hat them and crowd killers making the crowd go from cheering and excited to angry and disappointed and booing.

Yay Ric Flair deserves this one. I know we wont be able to reach all the Rumbles for this season because at this rate you'll reach up to 2018. But there are a couple of hidden Rumbles you may be not be aware about and could make the season go by faster.
There actually was the First Real Royal Rumble and also known as The Forgotten Rumble because all the wrestlers forgot about it. It happened at a House Show in 1987 there was 12 guys the final two was the One Man Gang and Junkyard Dog, One Man Gang actually won it. The other participants were King Kong Bundy, Don Muraco, Bob Orton, Ax and Smash, Paul Orndorff, Hillbilly Jim, Nikolai Volkoff, Rick Rude, Davey Boy Smith, and Billy Jack Haynes. They said that Haynes was probably the one that sat out.

WWE did Danial Puter SOOOOOO Dirty!!! There was a stint to see if anyone from Tough Enough could pin Kurt Angle and make him tap, and he put him in an ankle lock that was actually the real thing, and Kurt was really in pain. People Loved Puter after that was such a good guy and everyone wanted him to win. He did eventually win but Vince was so mad at him and hated him because of that so much that they made him this punk who would get pummeled until he was released shortly after. So in case you were wondering in the real Rumble why he was a punk and said all that before the match just to be humiliated over and over, that was why.
I hear ya man.. I agree. However, Puter put Angle in a Kimura Lock and could've almost broke his arm. So on the fly, the ref counted 1 2 3 for Angle before anything could happen, really.
He legit had Angle for something that the WWE challenged him to do..and he actually does it then got punished for it.
