idk I have massive jitters using this setting, not sure what's causing it, latest firmware installed EDIT: it's the interpolation, ranges from 0 to 20, default is 11 (I think), yours is 0 - it feels so rough and jittery, if it's higher it feels more soft and rubbery, I prefer that only to change back
I don’t understand. If I do anything more that max trq of 5 and sensitivity of 1 in game settings (no matter what the settings are in the fanatec) the wheel oscillates like crazy, especially with faster vehicles in top end
These are the best setting I have found yet! no jitters when going straight and good resistance when going through the turns. Thanks so much for posting these values!
Fresh off a controller, I just got my Fanatec set up running and I feel like I'm fighting the wheel more than driving the car around the track. Thanks for clarifying some of these settings. Time to get driving with some trial and error. Great video Mikael, Thanks!
Hello Digit Thank you for the information on the settings of the base DD Pro. I just acquired it, a little complicated for me I go from t300rs to fanatec continue you do a great job
I have strong vibrations in the steering wheel when the car starts to stall with your settings! you don't have that (I'm in 8nm)? Do you have any advice?
Thanks for the settings to try! The only concern I have to setting the spring to 0 is this warning in the instruction manual. If spring is adjusted to low values or OFF, the wheel base will not be able to move the attached steering wheel to the correct centre position after a centre calibration is performed.
I was wondering why my clubsport pedals had delay. After this video I reinstalled firmware to 1.30 version on pedals and delay gone. Thanks! Any suggestion where I can find 1.31 version of firmware?
Starting at INT you lost sync with what you are showing on the wheel as you showed FEI while explaining INT, afterwards you showed FOR while explaining FEI etc. Easily noticable as when turning OFF FEI the wheel would not have zero FFB like shown on your wheel ;)
Hi I've got the gt dd pro with the gran turismo wheel only had for a couple of weeks and my first dd wheel. When i use these settings i get a knocking feeling when turning left and right. If i turn the FEI down to like 30 or 40 it stops is this normal? Many thanks.
I had the same issue and it annoyed me to no end. Search Google for "Fanatec DD Pro Electrical Tape". You will find some picture on how to apply an electrical tape to the shaft of the wheelbase. I had to use 3 layers and now the knocking is gone. But i still think that GT7 applies too much force on certain Cars. It feels like clipping(in SF19 and SF23 Cars) and this can also result in this knocking. Anyways - good luck :)
Upgrade to the quick release 2 on the base and rims and this will disappear my friend. I just got my gt dd pro and this knocking happened in the first hour of playing. I was so upset as this is not acceptable in a brand new almost 1k wheel. Piece of electrical tape in the slot of the shaft stopped the slop and knocking but I wasn't happy as this was just a quick temporary fix I ordered the qr2 for the base for 59 dollars and 2 qr2 lites for my 2 rims and problem solved. Loving the new qr2 now. Qr2 is so easy to swap rims now. There's no slop and it came with a better collar for the new qr2 shaft. I highly recommend.
@@PageCrowes I also agree with you, I had to use the electrical tape trick for the QR1 Lite to eliminate the knocking sound and feeling, but I just upgraded to the standard QR2 and it is a world of a difference and this is what should have shipped with the wheel. The QR1 Lite is defective.
Hey Digit! In the weekend i will get my new dd pro , would you recommend these setting , or do i need to look for another one? Thank you , and keep making the great contents.
@@DittusToth this is my most recent one: dg-edge.com/articles/guides/fanatec-mclaren-gt3-wheel-settings-for-gran-turismo-7/438 Increase ffb if too low.
Thanks for the vid. I'm currently looking to buy this extra wheel. Do you know what buttons are and aren't mapable please? I currently have the GT3 Mclaren and almost every button is mapable now.
@fun-ghi yeah it's been like it for a while. I've got my overtake at top right so I leave it pressed all the time if a car uses DRS. Left red toggle is MFD selection. Right red toggle is MFD value such as TCS+-, Brake bias+- etc. Centre dial to position 4 means that black flappy paddles can look left and right. Hope this helps.
Hey, I just got my DD pro. As far as I saw, I have only three first settings of all above. I have not updated the base yet tho. Is the update necessary or am I doing something wrong?
Can you please go in depth on the dd+ about the base settings in the different profiles s1,s2,s3 how you go into the menu for fbb and ect.. What every thing means I looked for the Manuel on fanatec website but they still don’t have one up, I did find the pro Manuel but again some setting menu options are different….. When I play Assetto corsa the dd+ is amazing on A_5 mode But I’m trying to get into forza Motorsport I figured out today that if you put the sensitivity on 900 for 2.5 rotation like a car it handles very well I don’t think their game works with auto set But in Motorsport it still feels like something’s off it’s not to snappy rotating back to center on its own? And how do you shut off the wheel shaking in game menu on forza Motorsport it horrible I thought you could set this so it will shake if you hit a curb but it’s on constant
You have 5 profiles and one default. You can set each profile to your liking. The settings in the profile are the ones that matter, not the profile itself. Also Forza can't use AUTO SEN all the time, you have to manually adjust each car you drive. Btw, Forza has terrible FFB. I explained in the detail in this video, but I also made another one here: th-cam.com/video/SWi0T6peAPQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=rUIAJJfi60BqJLUW
Hy, thanks for this setting I love It. A lot of information. Juste a question for you, what sensibility for par ther controler do you use, between -2 to 10?
What should the wheel say for base. Motor, wheel when I turn it on? Wheel is 4.7 but says base is 1.03 or something 🤔 thanks anyone who can tell me is this mean base is on wrong firmware?
Different parts have different firmware versions. Plug into the pc and install the latest drivers. Not sure about the DD pro since I haven't used it in a while.
Hello and really thank you for posting this ! It helps me a lot 😊 just another question, what are your experiences with the in game settings of steering sensitivity ? Got it on -2 and sometimes I think it feels like it’s to less 🤷🏼♂️
Force Feedback Max Torque: 6 (Depends on the car, 3 for Gr.1, 4 for Gr.2, 5,6 for Gr.3, 7 for Gr.4) Force Feedback Sensitivity: 10 this is what I use, so I guess you should change it depending on which car you get
@@DigitRacingDG Many thanks for your response. I understood the thing about the FF in game settings. I meant if you click on Controller Settings in Game and then the second setting from the top. You should really try some different settings. Depending on your wheel it’s really easy to swap between different profiles instantly so you can compare the feel. These settings will very likely be a big improvement over stock or Fanatec recommended for you.
I used to do that and then I copied his setup and literally shaved .800 on my lap time and now 55th on the overall leaderboard in a time trial after I got used to it. It felt much better at least to me

Using these settings with the DD Pro 8Nm and I just had to dial back the in game FFB strength a bit. Ran two online Race Bs at in game strength 5 and these are the best I’ve tried so far. It’s like there’s a wide extra layer of ffb strength during turns that progressively gets stronger leading up until traction loss and loss of resistance in the wheel. I’ve tried many settings and none of them had me feeling the difference between limited optimal slip angle and traction loss so perfectly.
