Basically it's when Chinese manufacturers offer generic products wholesale with the option to put your private label on what you order. The products are often not very safe since these generic manufacturers have less oversight than ones owned or contracted by first world companies.
It probably is time to let go of glow addict. Changing to their own "brand" is basically a way to give you cheap drop shipped stuff for a major mark up. Wasn't it the glow addict lip plumper that gave you probably chemical burns? I think it's ok to let it go
Exactly. And that's why drop shipped makeup and skincare is a BAD idea. You don't know what those random brandless Chinese factories could be putting in it. They've already had a scandal with heavy metals in fabrics just recently. When brands from outside China produce products in house in China, there's a lot more oversight, where as with the off-brand stuff there's none.
The shift on the lips was so crazy!! You move one way and it’s either green, gold, or looks like nothing is there at all! And the highlighter blew my mind too!
Imagine layering that gloss over a solid color or using some green or gold lip liner to define the shape... so cool. As a fan of 90's VK, I just love it.

Frosted green lips for Halloween would be so much fun! The eye shadow paIette could be used with other colors from another palette. I can see the green highlight used on eyes rather than face. It's the green shade of the mascara I don't get. A dark forest green could enhance your eye color while lengthening lashes, but that shade doesn't seem to enhance the eye, it just looks like it makes lashes kind of disappear with the green eye shadow.
Yes, the highlighter on the inner corners and under the brow would have looked great, I think. I also agree that the mascara shade was a let down, it should have been the same shade as the green she used for the wing. That said, I think dark lashes often have issues with coloured mascaras showing up.
You look like Snow white. You always look so pretty no matter what. You are a master of makeup.
The green highlight on face would be great if going for a magical or non-human look, though. Witch, fairy, etc.
That Slay beauty box looks like something they should have sent out in February or the beginning of March for St. Patrick's Day or maybe even December for Christmas.
Oh yeah, now that you say August, I forgot Peridot is August's birthstone.
Or Halloween, though now I'm excited to see what they do ship for Oct. Orange and purple? Gothic reds and dark grey/black with white concealer? I hope they do something just as extra as this.

I think you've found your signature lip color 😂😂😂😂 The green eyeshadow looked really nice on you. That first box was an absolute rip off. The only good thing was the makeup bag. I could totally see it working with some lipliner underneath. That box was giving me some Visual Kei vibes and I love it. Would look best done in a more gothic style.

I really like the green eyeshadow look. Not everyone could pull that off but you look amazing with the green. I’m not a fan of the lipgloss. You did a great job with what you had for sure! Like I said not everyone could pull that off but you definitely do❤

Ditch the Glow Addict subscription. I swear the blue box is the equivalent of the products within. 🤨 NONE OF THIS HAS A $25 VALUE (never mind the shipping!). I'm glad you tried on the Slay Glam box. The eye look was pretty and fun. I think you should try the gloss over a dark lip/liner or as a spot in the middle of a nude lip. The theme worked surprisingly well and could be an addition to almost any nude pallette. Looking forward to advent calendar season. 🎄🎉💄

Maybe not all together - but all that green makeup would look awesome with a more grungy look and outfit. Try the gloss over a really dark or black lipstick, and the green highlight over a really dark smoky. The green mascara would probably look better on a "no makeup" day when you just want to throw on some colour. Honestly, this is so much better than another nude/brown look for me :D
My favorite color is green and I love that eyeshadow palette and the mascara. I've never in my 60 years used a highlighter and I don't think I'd use that one with that palette. Those eyeshadow colors are beautiful my dear. I love your honest reactions and I love your humor. You're such a sweetheart ❤.

You seem to have the ability to make anything look great! Green is my favorite color, tho I have never worn it like this. The lip gloss is interesting because the green shimmer moves with you, not as a solid color or shade, but more like a very bright highlight on your lips. Very unusual! Keep up the great work!
I was in need of something to watch while baking and this video was expertly timed. I think the Glow Addict box is definitely not worth keeping for the price. Loved your reactions to everything, especially the highlighter. Definitely needed that laugh today!

Ok so I actually like the eyeshadow and I think adding the lower lash liner or any of the darker greens with your typical brown shadow looks would be so pretty! It makes your blue eyes pop! And obviously the lip gloss 😂

Not going to lie I absolutely loved this look on you! I feel like if you put a lip stain underneath the chrome lip gloss it would pop more but also look prettier cause it gives it more of dimensional look

The eyes look amazing, the green mascara could be fun with a lighter contrasting color. I feel like the lips/highlight could be cool for a lot of different costume themes, especially with spooky season starting it's a fun box.

Oh that Glow Addict Makeup box was such a disappointment! I would let it go. You definitely did not get your moneys worth at all. I so enjoyed the try on with the Slay Glam products! I actually liked the way the eyes turned out 😊 I agree the hilighter was a bit much for the cheeks with its green shift but I think it would make an excellent eye shadow topper for a future green look. I don’t know what they were thinking with the lip gloss! 😂 you are such a good sport putting it on though! I wonder if it would be safe on the eyes? Would be a pretty multichrome shadow moment. I would definitely get rid of glow addict as it’s not worth the money! There has to be lots of different subscription boxes out there to try. Here is a tip for you Alexandria. When you use eyeshadow as liner spray your brush with a setting spray and it helps.

Cancel the first box and maybe try a K-beauty/J-beauty makeup box like nomakenolife if running out of subscriptions to try out…they always have such cute makeup products from what I’ve seen online. The black pearl eyeliner definitely looked purple and your green eyeshadow looked amazing; esp after you lined your lower waterline. So pretty!
