Just had a thought: Dorian's line about the 10 silk scarves should have started a collection sidequest where you find and turn in scarves to Dorian. However, as a slight prank on the player, it should only be possible to find 9. (If all 9 are found, then the quest would auto-complete once you were back at Skyhold, perhaps with humorous dialogue from Dorian).
Rewatching this years later I realized that the Seventh Member of the Counsel of Heralds that Vivienne says is "indisposed" is Duke Bastien, her lover who we find out is dying during her personal quest

Ive seen people talk about how they hated this main quest. "Its a pain in the ass" the said. But I absolutely loved this quest. We finally got to see the absurdity that is Orlais that weve only heard from characters and read from codexes. He’s a trickster god. I’d be worried if he couldn’t run circles around any politician, mortal or immortal. That would make the one who could consistently beat him so much more dangerous than anything anyone’s ready for.

Random people will also hit on the Inquisitor (male or female) whether or not there is a flirting option for them. Several characters also comment on how attractive they find Leliana and Josephine. I think it's just more noticeable with Cullen because he becomes visibly uncomfortable whenever someone hits on him, whereas everyone else either brushes it off or outright revels in it.
Lel and Josie do it to tease him, even those comments about using him as bait at the war table were nothing more than sisterly prodding. As for why others hit on him so much, he’s Commander of the Inquisition troops and former Commander of Kirkwall’s Templars after Meredith’s rampage. It's absolutely bizarre how Bioware wrote a canonical The Masked Empire book set before Inquisition and then pretends like it never happened in the game itself. In the book The Masked Empire, Celene *burned down the elven slums* in Halamshiral, Gaspard is a racist imperialist who wants to reconquer Ferelden, and Briala is trying to start an elven revolution for the good of her people. Even if you hadn't read the books, all of the companions should have given the player some background information with their thoughts on it. Cullen, a Ferelden man, supports the man who wants to invade his country, Solas says nothing about the brewing elven revolution, and fucking *SERA* of all people compliments Celene! What the actual fuck, Bioware?
Sera’s writing regarding elves is pretty terrible tbh. It doesn’t make sense that a character who’s entire concept is about “helping the little people” would be so hostile to every elf she meets. There’s a big difference between internalized racism and whatever Kristjanson decided to write.

I love how Vivienne and Leliana are saying essentially the same thing when it comes to the future of Orlais; stability, and Vivienne in contrast showing very clearly that she thinks holding on to the institution that is there already offers more stability, (not to mention that considering Gaspard's temperament she'd probably dislike him on a personal level), yet I find it, strange, she's progressive in some areas, yet not in others. Suppose she's chosen her battles.
Cole's comment at 3:30... I- wha... did he? Did he do a thing wi- I'm starting wonder whether or not Maryden is his first...
Dorian. Ahhh. He never gets old. 😂
There's a lot to say about this part of the game but that stuff they force you to wear is embarrassing, especially on Josephine and Vivienne
God Damn cullen and Dorian look good!
...I just reloaded my saves but Varric was still nowhere to be found. WTH's going on?!
you have to unlock the door outside to reach the area with Varric
lewis251100 I know the game pretty well and I've searched through all the areas. 100% sure he's nowhere to be found in the Winter Palace :(
***** He is down stairs. The locked door where you need the halla statues, the fountain you can through coins in theres a halla door that needs five its pretty worthless if you ask me
ShadowFiend93 I know. I found a post on the Bioware Forum and confirmed that I unlocked the exact halla door. Hell, I even have multiple saves with a few of these damn doors unlocked every time so I've seen what's behind each of them. That's why I'm so frustrated. Must've run into a very rare bug.
But still, thanks for your help!
***** Oh shit I thought you did the same I did and didn't open the door and look or something. This is happening on multple play throughs?
8:12 lmaooo
I really dislike your default skyhold garbs, this mission just reminded me why I prefer my armor. The outfit really stinks.
Hah. That's Cullen for you.
where do you find varric?? ive always searched for him when i bring him but i can never find him
i am sorry but solas with that damn hat is too much!
Where's Varric?
Behind the halla-opened door in the same place as the fountain of the coins.
sooo... the only companions that fit perfectly are, of all, the mages XD and maybe, kinda Varric
everyone else is kinda out of place
but the mages are at home in court XD
So are the american voices for the inquisitor almost nonexistent in these videos? not that I'm complaining, I'm just curious.
American voices aren't as well done as the britsh one, so people don't typically use them. If that makes sense.
Fun fact: the american male voice is the same person who voiced Zevran.
@@varric wait what?
14:42 Solas... what the fuck are you wearing
8:40
Sera is based.
Aw what the hell, I'm tryna romance Cullen and I didn't get the option to ask him to dance
Maddie B. He has to be romanced by the time your there
What is that disgusting thing Solas is wearing
The hat he wears is a fancy version of the Helm of the Drasca, an ancient order of warriors from the Anderfels that rebelled against Orlesian occupation of their lands, he likely chose this because of what Orlais is doing to the Dales. Since Orlesians like to make fashion statements, he made one of his own: I hate all of you here, and those of you who actually know your empire's history and understand this hat can't do anything to me, as I'm part of the Inquisitor's Inner Circle.
why would someone want to romance eggboy™, he's anything but romantic
ok but that one thingy in haven?? not the fade but when u flirt w him for the first time?? he was real smooth bro
