As a tuner, I found bigger wheels give you slightly more response at slow turns but your turning is slightly worse at higher speeds. It is more noticeable in S1 and S2.

For the wheel size grip myth, you should take the same car but stock. Go event island and you can drive a continuous circle full throttle, see the top cornering speed and then upgrade the wheels and see the difference
The speed chime for the AE86 does work in Gran Turismo 7 along with a few other JDM cars. The McLaren Sabre gauge display is pretty cool. This could be the developers way of testing different gauge settings for Forzavista on future cars.
I have been loving this series. That McLaren Sabre thingy is really cool. I wish we could change stuff like that in free roam too, like turning on and off lights and pop up lights. People probably confused the AE86 having the chime in FH5 because in GT7 it actually has it, which is pretty cool. And I wish that fuel simulation would be implemented. Imagine how cool it would be to be able to fuel your car.

4:29 this was a big thing in the first stage of initial D. Anybody that’s watched that religiously enough probably had that sound burned into their brain
on the wheel size test, your results are more aligned with wheel weight rather than grip. to test the grip go to the event island and see at what speed you can corner before losing grip
People are using the Auction house to launder cash to other players. A car that sells for 25k new had over a dozen selling at 1M start bid. Would be easy for the devs to prevent such trades. On the bid snipping I do not believe the platform makes a difference as the timer goes back a minute on every new bid. If anything makes a difference it would be your geographical proximity to the game server.
I just confirmed this in the game - While the mileage in the car does go up as you drive it, the number on the gauges resets every time you get in the car, fast travel, etc. The starting number is different on every car, I had a theory the devs might have recorded the mileage of the cars they scanned to make the models, but it's probably more likely they picked numbers at random. In my time playing the game, I've noticed a lot of cars have mileage in the hundreds, a handful are in the thousands, and then there's the Volvo 850 R which has 176060 miles lol, so who knows, maybe my theory holds some weight.
@@TheTyisawesome Are you referring to the trip odometer? That always starts at 000, but I don't think I've ever seen the actual odometer at 0 miles on a car in the game.
First redo your last one on a circuit. Maybe the more weight makes a negative difference in the corners. Then my myth: In the Hot Wheels expansion there are some race courses/sections of road where super slow cars (like D class) cannot possible make it through. Is true in Horizon 3.
GOTTA redo the Turbo test with the intercooler!! it adds even more weight than power vs the oil and cooling does. I have gotten different results when testing with the V8 as the intercooler is so heavy for next to no power gain. RUN IT BACK!!!
With this mileage myth it's actually working but only in Forza Motorsport games not in Horizons sadly... And funny thing clocks are also showing time in game in Forza Motorsport 8 but in Horizon it stays always on 12:00. Don't know about older Motorsport Forza titles but in Forza 7 time in cars showing a time from a console 😅🤣
As far as the intercooler and oil upgrades go, I only really use them to gain like a couple PI to get my car to the top of its class pretty much lol. It’s always the last thing I add on
Same don't need them to be competitive and with V8 i have found different results than Nicks test. The added intercooler weight can not be made up for by the small power increase, and you will be quicker and have better weight distribution without it in many cases. Some cars gain much more power from the intercooler and it is worth it so still it depends. That myth is more plausible then confirmed IMO
9:53 in FH3 when the game first came out you could run out of fuel and your car spluttered for about a minute before becoming undrivable (if I remember rightly) Im pretty sure they changed it around 2017.
Just as a quick mental math sort of situation for power upgrades, each 1 horsepower is worth roughly 6lbs. So the oil and cooling upgrade adding 7hp would have to add roughly 42lbs to equal out and theoretically go the same speed.
Still part of my horizon 6 wishlist is running out of fuel, and needing to visit actual fuel stations to refuel. You could either have the car stall and need a "tow" to a fuel station, maybe 200cr, or it would enter a 'limp' mode until you refuel. Would be a nice real world element to add I think.
When you engine swap a front engined car to an engine from a rear/mid engined car, or vise versa… the weight of the turbos and intercoolers will be in the wrong location. For example, the weight of the intercooler will make the front engine car more rearheavy.
The Mustang Spec 5 (not the drift versions) also has a full roll cage at all upgrade levels. Slightly irritating, because I want to put in one tier of reinforcement, but it's HIDEOUS.
I'm assuming the trip meter only counts your KMs / miles when you're driving around in free roam. The other KMs / milage in the history is likely the total driven when including events.
nick, the morris minor forza edition has more than one rear calipers depending on what you put on (it can be stock or anything) it will have double calipers per wheel on the rear.
They do, you can see this if you look at the little stat number when choosing different tires (what unit does that represent btw? Friction coefficient?) The difference on most cars between slicks and semi slicks is about 0.06, but on most racecars and cars with custom branding on the tires, it goes higher. I think the highest I've seen is 0.22, but I'd have to double check that
At Night the Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale flashes its headlights when you brake. And the Ferrari 430 Scuderia flashes just the right hand front indicator when you brake.
I'm so happy they got rid of the passenger seat removal, I don't wanna have to sacrifice aesthetics for performance in a video game. If anyone wants it back you should advocate for interior cosmetic customization.
Bigger wheel is going to make the car slower due to centrifugal force so doing it on a NASCAR circuit I believe is going to be slower so instead try it on a track where wheel grip comes in to play
In the 2008 BMW M3 if you go into the custom upgrade thing rev the engine back out as fast as you can and go to the body kits thing then your car will go forward and roll out of the festival
The intercooler upgrade is worth but it varies on the engine the vr6 from the r32 is less worth it compared to the one in the 7.2 racing v8 as the one in the v8 adds like another 100 hp but only 20 pounds of weight
