- Glock has been my go to for polymer pistols for as long as I've been shooting, and it still deserves a huge spot in my rotation. That is, until I found Shadow Systems. This pistol is absolutely incredible and every upgrade you can possibly want is found straight out of the box. Shadow Systems has found a niche to fill and did it better than anyone else. While the price is higher than normal, the juice is worth the squeeze. I would definitely recommend.

Got one today feels amazing in the hand ,looks great,and takes Glock mags!!!
I purchased Glock mags as soon as I bought the gun. I have a lot of 17rd Gen 5 grips so didn’t have any 15s. The pmags have been okay. I use them to train with mostly. But this pistol still excites me as to how flat it shoots even with out the comp. The sights are amazing, optic system is the best in any pistol, the slide is very well done, barrel is great, and it’s accurate as hell. I love my Glocks but this pistol is awesome. Let me know what you think after the first 200-500 rounds. Welcome to the club brother.

Only pistol I would consider adding to my collection.
Especially when their warranty says they will give you free pistol in case of self defense case and pistol not being returned by police for whatever reason.
It’s a solid pistol for sure. I’ve seen some with issues on the internet but never in person. They have some super tight tolerances, very accurate, best optic mounting system PERIOD, and very easy to shoot. I still love my Glocks but glad I got this.
I love my Shadow Systems pistols. MR with a comp. CR with a comp. It's hard to decide which to carry. Usually, MR is in the winter and CR in the summer. But the CR is so much easier to conceal and lightweight. I tend to rely on the CR920P. I love my Shadow Systems pistols, all of em!
Absolutely a flawless performance so far out of mine. I’ve seen some with issues but can typically fix them easily for my buddies. Once it was the barrel that was the issue but SS helped them really fast. My Glock 34 Gen 5 is my favorite pistol, but the mr920 is a close second. Its performance and attributes are incredible especially for the price. Hope they stay in business….
Can't wait for my DR920P to be fully broken in! Nice review and I agree that a Shadow Systems is a great alternative to Glock users who want those EXTRAS.

Right on, I got about 800 rounds through my Mr920 war poet, with radian ramjet. Great pistol, just wish the trigger was better for $1k
The trigger is okay. Better than stock Glock but still a Glock style trigger. I took my timney out because I liked the stock one better believe it or not. How you liking that radian comp??? Thinking about gettin one for my 19x!
@@cerebralfirearms This is my 1st comp, but so far 100% reliability. It really tames +p ammo and it doesn't add too much length for carry. Makes shooting 9mm nato feel like I'm shooting a heavy weight Competition Pistol with lower power 115 grains.
@@cerebralfirearms I put in a Ranger proof trigger shoe and a OP minus connector and the trigger is decent now.

I have. Love the DR920p but haven’t tried the CR920 in either platform yet. The XR920 is another GREAT option as well. Feel like the whole lineup is great. Thanks for the comment.
just got mine the other day, already added a holosun but I cant wait to throw a comp on it!
It’s incredibly soft as is but with that comp, fucking awesome.
only took it out once so far shes only had 100 rounds through her but it was such a fun gun it felt natural in my hand out of the box with the more 1911 style grip angle. Cant wait to add the comp and put a few thousand through her @@cerebralfirearms

@@stayvigilant7856 that’s like asking me to choose my favorite kid lol. I do enjoy my MR920 elite with a comp better than stock 19x. Once I fix up my 19x with the radian afterburner, an RMR, and stippling, my 19x will be my every day carry for sure. I like bigger guns and that would be the only appeal that my MR 920 doesn’t have is the full size grip.
@@cerebralfirearms LOL thts what I was hoping you'd say. I like em both too, but I've always kinda been a glock guy. I actually got rid of my XR920 for a 19X pretty much same gun but 19x is a glock and the FDE color. Also for a SHTF scenario I just feel od want my Glock on my hip. It's my EDC now especially in cooler weather. I've also heard they may stop making the 19X eventually.. You heard that yet?
@stayvigilant7856 I have not heard that. I know the 17 is slowing down production a bit, or at least from what I was told, seeing as the new 47. I have a couple of Glocks and can say I’ve tried to go different routes with shooting. Sig, CZ, H&K, Springfield, even Staccato. I keep going back to Glock. I’ve been carrying a 365 x-macro for a year and I’m going back to a Glock as my edc. Just feels perfect.

Thanks man, this pistol is a sweet one. I can honestly say I enjoy it more than my competition pistols and even my 2011. I’m a polymer fanboy myself but do enjoy some DS 1911 or 2011. This just feels better to my way of shooting. Nothing against those platforms though, they are incredible.

Hate how the casing bounce off optic when ejecting I’ve noticed it in many videos
I’ll have to slow down my video to see. I will say though, it’s never ever caused an issue. Only issue I’ve had was on the first mag of the break in period the pmag didn’t feed. Other than that, it’s been perfect. Even shoots super hard primers.

I’ve shot enough ammo the last three years to buy KAC in 5.56 and 7.62 and a Staccato. Shit, probably a lot more as well. I stick with my ammo purchases though lol. Maybe one day but for now, building my ARs and shooting Glocks is fun for me. Staccatos and KACs are nice don’t get me wrong, I just don’t have an urge to buy them right now. More like suppressors and URGIs right now 😂
Great review! I have the same set up except I have the Shadow systems comp. One thing though, get rid of the loud annoying music! It distracts from what you are saying.
How do you like the shadow systems comp and do you have time behind any other comps?
This is my first barrel mounted comp, but it helped with the recoil quite a bit. Especially since I shoot one handed. @@cerebralfirearms
There are some great comps out there. Been wanting to try shadow systems but haven’t as of yet. Zaffari precision has a great single port, faxon has a good comp, and the agency has been great. Now that I found the comp life, I can’t go back. Wanna try their cr920p super bad.
Does the comp run well with 115gr? Stock spring or did you go down on spring weight?😊
100% stock and perfect. Mind you, I did shoot this pistol a lot before I installed and after.
I have the stand alone comp. Also got the lighter spring but never needed it. Mostly 124 but I think there was some 115 in there. No malfunctions

Which holster you have to make it fit with mag ?
I use a 6354rdso from Safariland that is made for my Gen 5 Glock 34 and TLR-1 HL. Fits perfectly, but that’s OWB. I don’t conceal something like this as I have the p365 xmacro comp and Glock 48 I use there.

I WANT to love my mr920 elite so bad, but 50 light strikes in 900 rounds and it blowing up twice(one happened while recording, on my shorts list) I just can’t trust it anymore

Was it ammo related? The last couple weeks or so I’ve shot about 2k rounds of 9mm. I’ve had issues with light primer strikes with a lot of ammo including Norma, AAC, LAX, and Blazer. Seems like a lot of hard primers being used for some reason. Sorry that happened. I’ve been impressed with mine so far.
@@cerebralfirearms I used a bunch of different ammo and it was happening with all them, the 2 explosions that destroyed my frame was Norma 124g and shadow systems blamed the ammo. But that doesn’t explain the other light strikes across multiple brands
I agree with the light primer strikes happening that often seems like a spring issue. But the blowing up is 99.9% ammo related. Norma will never go into my pistols again dud to the last couple of months of use. It’s been hard ass primers failing some of my less reliable guns. Daggers have been hating that ammo but my Glocks and shadow systems have been okay with it but not perfect. I’m sorry this happened and hope you get it fixed. Sucks and hope you weren’t injured.

Nope, I’ve used nearly everything through it and never had an issue.

@@cerebralfirearms Thanks for the reply. I have the same rig in my arsenal except my frame is grey and the slide is Damascus. I love that gun, she’s my primary home defense piece. I just got a cr920 for my carry. Just the basic small foundation 10 / 13 round. Someday hope to have a library card for every 920. Keep up the good videos, I’ll be subscribing for sure.

I have and really like both. And although I trust both of MINE, I’ve seen some shadow systems have issues far more than Glock. Just my opinion if you only are getting one to rely on for everything.

I’ll go with Minecraft next time….toying around with some things but think it was wayyy too loud. It’s what I get for doing the filming, editing, script and finances for my own content. It’s an evolution and we don’t always get things right the first time.
