- In South Sudan, widespread violence between government forces and rebel troops is disabling the country. As the violence continues and internal migrants flee the conflict, the risk of famine increases.

"Much of the displacement, killing, destruction…it is the Government who is responsible.” Santo Pio Loku, Archbishop of South Sudan, blames the government for the humanitarian crisis in his country. Widespread violence, fuelled by ethnic tensions and government infighting, has led to internal displacement and famine. For aid workers in the country, the situation is critical. "I call it the Titanic situation", says David Beasley, Director of the World Food Programme. "Right now we are all hands on deck with the four famines…So we're trying to make sure we don't hit the iceberg."

So many conflicts in the world it’s hard to tell who’s fighting who and what they are fighting for. In the end, regular citizens suffer. It’s all so sad.
It's better them fighting than us. When we fight; cities are firebombed, nukes are dropped, many millions die.

No Damien. Just like many lesser developed countries who endure civil wars, they cannot just fix themselves. Majority and minority military factions, ethnic differences, corruption and overall lack of humanitarian concern all create a shit show that unfortunately is unable to “fix itself”
What can you do? If one tries to help, like the US in Mogadishu, you get called "monsters" and "conquers" and told to stay away because it's a "civil war." If you don't help, like in Rwanda. You get called cowards and monsters again... So what do you do?
I say we stay out of everything every where. These people need to run their own shit and we buy if from them. Simple as that. But, there are greedy jerks out there that do not want that.
Let Sudan fix their own problems as not our job. Yes, empathy for those hurt is there but these folks need to fix their own country not us!
