I love this show because its not all about facts and opinions politically like a lot of other channels. This actually gets the sides of those suffering or experiencing whatever the topic may be. Its truely educational and mind opening!

It's sad that we as Americans live in a word where seeing a dead body is still "scary".. we can get therapy.. we can get clean clothes, clean running water. We can hug our families goodnight & not worry they won't be alive in the morning. I hope more little guys that are numb & blank in the eyes are able to find the mother/father/brother/sister that can maybe just maybe bring back the smallest sparkle in their eyes back 😓❤😍😭
Even I'm living in a 3rd world asian country, I feel blessed too to live in a peaceful one. I just failed to realized how blessed I am until I watch documentaries like these. I just hope and pray that the world has no so much suffering because living on earth must not be like this. 😢😭💔

Thank you for this documentary. As a South Sudanese individual I know firsthand how many people have suffered and to hear the story being told from a primary perspective is amazing. I’m from the Kuku/Bari tribe and hope to make a similar documentary/vlog on the experience of more South Sudanese refugees from my tribes who are in a camp in Uganda, where I also have immediate & extended family.
Praying for your family ~ my heart breaks for what has happened in both countries...praying for peace. May God bless you and reunite you with your family members
21:43 Mariel says, "He's very faithful" in reference to God whom he credits with bringing his son home. The workers who do subtitles are sometimes quite interesting in both their ability to understand what people are saying and what or how they choose to subtitle. Very compelling story, UW. Great job.
I love this channel. No filter, no propaganda, just hard sad facts. Children everywhere are always the victims of corruption and greed and religious wars.
This was one of the most emotional videos I have watched!! My heart aches for all these families and children! So good to see a little bit of happiness! 2 years this was posted I’m thinking this stuff is still going on in places!!
That man wishing he wasn't born in South Sudan and we have people ignorant enough born and living in the USA that complain about the most mundane of problems like there aren't real issues elsewhere that are a better expenditure of energy. So glad for the UN and also for NATO for helping keep this world an overall safer place.
Player Review there r real issues here in the us as well tho too... idk why ppl like to forget about how there r ppl without food and clean water in low income areas all over the US. Just cause our problems aren’t like this does not mean we do not have them.
@@Sultanofszing I hardly call 25 years by the Nubian those that ruled out of 3000 years. If you look at Africa unbiased you will see that Blacks are the reason for the sadness. Blacks in Africa have been practicing slavery upon their own people for thousands of years and selling you to Arabs and Europeans. It was European people who abolished slavery. Not Africa. The countries that are civilized are Semitic, or European run. North Africa is Semitic and always has been. The Sub saharan people are still Nomads and are hunter gathers. They don't even have running water, sanitation systems. The Nubians stole their knowledge from the Egyptians. Not the other way around. The Muslims have been using Black Africans as slaves for ever and your own Black African rulers have allowed it. These children are so clearly traumatized, evidenced by their reactions to seeing their parents (especially at the beginning). They did not react like typical children. Their brains, and therefore their behavior, have been irreversibly rewired by trauma. It's so sad to see.
As a parent, I can't even begin to imagine what it has been like for these families. Just the thought of it makes me ill. God bless them and the people trying to reunite them.
The world is such a crazy place, this broke me to know that there are conditions like this unknown to many, few have given attention to. War is a very devastating human creation. Breaking away families, stealing away childhood dreams and innocence. When are we going to fully enjoy our lives fairly. Where everyone lives humanely and at peace.

My people been though pain for so long I have never seen my father for 21 years and all my friends most of them probably never to be seen again glad I found a safe place to relocate in Canada maybe some days we will meet again
My anticipation was very high waiting for the car to arrive so he could finally see his father, this literally brought tears to my eyes. Touching story and great report, more people need to see this.

I can't watch this. Stopping at 2:31.. Africa's cultural war, endless poverty, corruption in government is utterly disgraceful. Separating kids from parents for 2 yrs !!!! Unbearable !!!!
It was wonderful seeing that poor tiny boy get well from his sickness and get away from that awful place. And be reunited with his father. Its a shame qhat that poor child has been through. I cannot imagine his fear and loneliness. Im glad at least he had his gramma and good people helping him. But his childhood was robbed from him. His innocence is gone.

This is so heartbreaking. And yet there are comments about how bad islam is or how they shouldn't come to Europe. Did you even watch? These people are suffering. So yeah. South Sudanese are actually Christians and the only reason the west supported their independence from northern Sudan along with oil which they wanted to loot and are looting now. within a year of independence it has turned into a living hell.

Nice to see Machar reunited with his dad. I do feel sorry for the grandma being left in the camp. I am not sure why they only reunite the children? Would have been nice to reunite a whole family.
That little boy reminds me so much of my little brother, being south sudanese and part of the nuer tribe I can't imagine my 8 year old brother going through the things that this little boy went through.
While the Western world suffers from natural disasters like quakes, flooding and hurricanes, our beloved Africa suffers from the curse of selfish leaders who incite wars with reckless abandon.
