it doesnt matter if you are 400 or 600 in a deficit, it's still a deficit, why are you complicating things for people? just eat at a certain calorie goal and adjust the calories according to what your scale is telling you after a week or two. and it doesnt matter if you are under reporting calories by a few percent as long as you are consistent, you might think you're eating 1800cal when you're in fact eating 2200, if you lose weight then its all good
I think you are missing the point. You used two examples of someone in a deficit. A common example is someone saying "I track my food intake and know I am in a deficit but I am not losing weight". That's the purpose of the video. :)
@@BenCarpenter I understand what you're saying, i get the point of your video which has quality information, and at the same time is confusing for many. The answer to that someone is "you wish you were at a deficit, thats your maintenance calories, decrease even further, watch the scale and adjust". I know, I know, same example for the third time ;p
@@klikfisz I agree, title is a little misleading and a tad bit clickbaity. Usually he does a great job...everybody has a bad day. I'll chuck this up as a mulligan
@@DerkNotDirk because there is a huge difference between "reasons why tracking calories isn't accurate" and "Reasons why tracking calories isn't accurate for some people". One assumes a universal stance while the other included the possibility it works for some
Learn, adjust, and grow...I like it 💪

@@Carljung14 how is the title misleading? He discussed the reasons tracking calories isn't accurate. Seems exactly what the title says
