Oh good. Yes, I think it's really helpful to understand it too. It'll save a lot of money if you don't need accreditation.

So BJU press would be considered an online school? And not just homeschool. Does BJU correct the child’s work or does the parent? Also my daughter is in 8th grade and we’re transitioning her to homeschool and I want to go with BJU press but I don’t know where to start her at because she could start on a lower level at grade level or a higher level. Do you know of any assessments for older kids so I can know what level she is on?

@@howtohomeschool oh thanks. Spiritual cosmetics is just about beautifying the spirit man it’s based on 1 Peter 3:3-4, 3Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. 4Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.

Does an accredited program/ diploma help a child who wants to join the military right after they are done with high school?

A diploma you write should be just as acceptable to them as an accredited one. But maybe you should ask HSLDA.org for that one. The reasoning behind this is that YOU are just as much a principal as a school is. I wonder if you wrote a wizz bang portfolio with a professional looking transcript (you can do this online) they might consider it more acceptable. I know my portfolio going into medical school was well-considered because of my homeschool experiences.

They can be homeschooled. I was in the service and worked recruiting. In 2012 & 2014 congress made it easier for homeschoolers. This is all that is needed:
If your homeschool student wants to enlist in the military after graduation, it’s important that he or she receives a high school diploma from your homeschool that has been issued by you and is compliant with any state laws regarding diplomas.
You can make one for them. The only thing they will need to do is take the AIM or ASVAB before enlisting. Recruiting can help with that.
