We have had our GAS INSERT for over 6 months. I have gotten familiar with the OPERATION and HOW TO USE IT. This goes over the ADJUSTMENTS and QUALITY OF PRODUCT. Plus my FINAL THOUGHTS.

Thanks for the video. Two comments: 1. The PILOT feature on the remote provides two options: a. Conventional Gas Pilot Light (faster start-ups but continuously burns a small amount of gas). b. Electronic Ignition (uses a spark similar to a BBQ grill). 2. The flaming embers mentioned are actually Mineral Wool that was used as attic insulation in the 1930s because of its fire retardant properties. It's a nice trick that Heat n Glo implemented in their units that is quite effective and realistic. You can add more as needed and should be replenished every two years or so. One last comment re the fan. It was an option we chose as well. Frankly, we never use because as you point out, the noise is excessive and it turned out to be a waste of money. Otherwise, we like the unit very much and were fortunate to be able to use the I-35 size in our fireplace. Our installation is documented here: sites.google.com/site/heatngloi35fb/
My quote for a Heat n Glo i35 NG is $7000. Includes insert, 6’ black pipe, liner, custom surround. Probably an extra $250 for electric and $? for permit. Seems expensive to me, about $3k more than what the Heat n Glo website lists for this model. How is the reliability keeping this thing on?
Unfortunately we sold the house since then. We tend to move often 😂 Thank you for the support and watching the video dont forget to subscribe to the channel and help me hit 2k subscribers
@@TH4TU53RN4M3TH0REVIEWS Thank you.. So we went out today shopping and looked at a Heat & Glo unit then a Recency unit and still trying to decide. 1)What was the model you purchased 2)and the $4k you mentioned did it include running a gas line & electric.. 3)Also is yours natrual gas.
Buyer Beware Heat & Glo, you have to use their controller, can't integrate into your Thermostat that controls the rest of your house, And it won't work with any wifi or iphone or other phone apps.
I was looking at this same unit . The fan would drive me crazy for it is way too noisy! Thanks! Great review!
Any chance you can tell me which model Heat & Glow this is?
So helpful, thank you for this video. I just took mine a part cleaned it and reassembled it...works beautifully!

You’re not supposed to mess with the log placement.
The fan sounds really noisy. Is it?
$4000 IS A FANTASTIC DEAL!!
Well worth it for sure.
@@TH4TU53RN4M3TH0REVIEWS I just received a quote for $7000.00 installed and would still need a Propane tank. Ridiculous...
Does the fire changed colors after box is heated up?
No it did not.

That included gas and electric. I forget the specific model and since then we sold the house.

Again in this review the fan sounds SO noisy. Is it?
It is kind of loud but it pumps a lot of heat out for sure.
