This story was in David Nivens' "Bring On The Empty Horses".
It's a myth that has been debunked by people who were there. A great story though. A coroner is not going to put his job on the line for a prank, also riga mortis would have set in so there was no way to "pose" Barrymore with a drink in his hand etc..
David Niven's biography, "Bring on the Empty Horses" is a very good account of his friendship with Errol. Well written and VERY funny.

By the way, Errol Flynn did not die in Europe, he died in Vancouver, Canada at party in a doctors penthouse.

if you want to learn something read a book, these "vlogs" are just entertainment, not education. As far as Flynn goes I've read eight books on him and while the Barrymore story is classic it never happened.

I remember an interview Olivia D. had in a talk show and Earl Flynn pranked her on the set of Robinhood. She mentioned she had a crush on him. After the prank she said that broke the ice on her crush and intimidation she had toward him during the filming. She was getting amused at the memory of him all over again at that moment of the interview.

I'm a tour guide in Colorado and I see people get a little dizzy and faint all the time on hikes. Altitude sickness. Just plenty of water and a little nutrition will cure it asap.

What a great story! It always surprises me since you talk about your fear of heights but you look down the hills when you take a hiking trail. That part would bother me!

Gee, that's awful! This reminds me of one of David Niven's books. There are some great pranks and adventures in those too. One was, I believe David Niven & Errol Flynn who called all of the tenants in this building (several floors) somewhere in L.A. I believe & gave them a story that for some reason they needed to either turn off all of their lights that night or turn them on. So when this all was finished, that certain night, the lights on spelled out F...k off or F.Y...something like that. This is from memory, I'll have to look this up to check but that was really funny.

OMG , how ironic I was watching Paul Lynde bio the other day , and he had purchased the house of Earl Flynn The house, was in in the Sunset-Doheny area, , but that would have been years after Errold Flynn passed away...that's all I know about this info....loved the vlog, and love the Jahster. he makes me smile every time I see him......looking forward to part 2....have a great day J & j..
My aunt worked at a funeral home. One night she and the staff were celebrating New Years, got really sloshed. Eventually the crashed all over the place. The boss comes in and wakes everyone up yelling, "What did you idiots do last night!" Every body in the place had funny faces, scary faces and so on. The spent the giving them back peaceful expressions and washing the makeup off the faces. She said every time they passed each other they would break out laughing.
Enjoyed the hike and seeing Jah as a pup. I remember passing by that property with the blue door & blue frames. Very unique looking. Early Hollywood had Earl Flynn as a prankster. Now we have George Clooney as a known prankster in the “present Hollywood.” Enjoy all your vlogs. Still interesting in 2022. ❤️🙏🏻🐕🦺🌴Jah is his own “little man”. Cute personality.

I couldnt help but think: what if these guys pulled off the best prank by having us believin it did happen even with the families participating in the prank. The loss of Mr. Barrymore would have been one line not to crack on, out respect for him and his family. Either way, of it did happen or not, great vid.

Errol's house was on the very top of the property. Not at the bottom. His small gambling house was towards the bottom. Justin Timberlake lives on the lot that Errol's house was originally built on. The only remaining items are the tennis court, palm trees which you can current see, and the boy scouts monument to Lankershim monument which is next to the tennis court.
