These sermons from the priests on Sensus Fidelium are so inspiring! Unlike the protestant song "Mary did you know" that has been unfortunately played in many Catholic parishes during Christmas. Mary definitely knew. Thank you St. Maximus! Sensus Fidelium, thanks for your ministry! Let us pray for our priests! To Jesus through Mary!
Never tire of hearing this…. EASTER Monday 2022💔💔 🌍 🇺🇸😢 Other versions say it was Mary Magdalene, Mary mother of James, and Joanna. Here it says Salome….. who is this woman??
"Regina Caeli", V. "Queen of heaven, rejoice, Alleluia. R. For He whom you merited to bear, Alleluia. V. Has risen, as He said, Alleluia. R. Pray for us to God, Alleluia. V. Rejoice and be glad, O Virgin Mary, Alleluia. R. Because the Lord is truly risen, Alleluia".
Thank you Father. Will say the 3 Hail Mary's for you. I like to hear the Eastern Fathers. I'm always reminded at the Byzantine liturgies about the OT saints like the prophets.
Thank you, St. Maximus the Confessor and thank you St. Vincent Ferrar! Thank you, Father! 3 Hail Marys for the priest. It is a beautiful and wonderful meditation to spend the Vigil with Our Lady. There are many ways to do this. One that is coming into shape for me comes from the discovery of the empty tomb by the Beloved Disciple, after the women told them and he ran ahead of the others. The Beloved Disciple had taken Our Mother into his home at the bequest of our Lord on the Cross. Jewish mourning customs are precise. The Beloved Disciple should have been with her. The mourning customs are described at Chabad.org, for anyone interested in verifying: The person with the most right to grief (the mother's grief trumps everyone's, even the widow's and children's) is seated in the position of prominence. This person leads the ritual in silence. No one speaks until this person speaks, and the replies - given in honorary order - are formulaic. (Give no assurances of heaven, or of being in a vague "better place"!). The chief mourner is surrounded by the community, who are seated in a hierarchical order of those with the right to grief. The more mourners present, the more honorable it is for the deceased, and comfort to the family. This isn't just Rabbinic Jewish practice, as so many other Jewish customs are -- we can see the mourning ritual in the New Testament, at the mourning of Lazarus and Jairus's daughter. So Our Lady would have been expected to preside over the mourning ritual, and the Beloved Disciple should have been there with her. But he wasn't! Perhaps Our Lady sent him to gather the other disciples? Or perhaps she simply assured him that there was no cause to mourn? Who was with her? Anyone? Or was she alone? Was she, perhaps, aware of the presence of those of us who keep vigil with her through meditating on that Holy Saturday? Keeping silence, waiting for her to speak if she chooses but not expecting it, simply keeping company with her until her Son returns. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
I’ve been thinking why I watch every talk from SF and I think I understand better now They’re like homilies from old where the traditional Catholic priests would talk with the purpose of teaching and explaining But now adding beautiful pictures from to illustrate the point makes the talk even more entertaining! Thanks
al meggs i agree reminds me of the sermons of saint john vianney who told them about what direction they were heading if they didnt change and continued in their ways its why i believe this channel gets so many listeners because our souls need that spiritual father to direct us
Can someone tell me which saint Maximus is being referred in this talk? I would love to research more of his writings. So much tradition is not being taught openly. Gosh so many good sources of information found in the early church fathers.
St Joseph, Terror of demons, pray for us.
Yes to our Lady Because she did say Yes Firts.Thank you Mary Pray for us and show me the way Amen.....

SAINT MAXIMUS THE CONFESSOR, Doctor of the Church- just type that on your search- that should help! 🙏🏻
I thought our lady was assumed body and spirit into heaven?
That confused me too!! It’s been a big deal that she was assumed and that was different from what I’ve heard
YES he said “ASSUMED BODY AND SOUL into heaven” 3 days after her death
