I’ve come to the understanding that complaining about suffering is lack of trust in God in many respects. We were told he works everything for our good if we love him, if we believe that we’d bear suffering more patiently because we’d trust God only allows what is beneficial. Even if it hurts like heck during the trial, we have to trust in God!
I REALLY NEEDED TO HEAR THAT TODAY. I’m really suffering because I was severely mistreated by my former manager, whom I now realize was a narcissist/covert. I had a nice career but had to quit after 17 years of psychological games and exhaustion. I have trouble trusting this is God’s will. Please pray for me that I let this go and forgive my tormentor. Thank you 🙏
Suffering is like going to the gym to get a perfect body. In order to have a perfect soul we need to take up our cross everyday and offer our pains/suffering to God for other people and those in purgatory. It is not easy to accept suffering but let's pray that we can endure everything. Mama Mary pray for us. 🙏
I have heard that in Tradition (with a small “t”) that St. Joseph was born with original sin but it he was cleansed of it by virtue of him being foster father of Jesus. And having a great devotion to him, I believe it to be true--one of his titles is Terror of Demons. He was the protector and head of the Holy Family.
Suffering & Patience “For a CHILD IS BORN to us, and a son is given to us, and THE government is upon His SHOULDER: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, God the mighty, the Father of the world to come, the Prince of Peace” [Isaias (Isaiah) 9:6] - explained - THE (is used to point forward to a following qualifying or defining clause or phrase. Isaias could have used “A government” but he didn’t ). Government (means Rule, The Rule); is upon His SHOULDER (singular, not shoulders; it is the Cross that is on Jesus’ shoulder), so in plain english it all means “The rule of God is to carry your cross”, and your cross is trials, tribulations, sufferings. WHY?, because that is the gate to heaven. “That our hope for you may be steadfast: knowing that as you are partakers of THE sufferings, so SHALL YOU BE of THE consolation.” [2 Corinthians 1:7] You must understand now that God has decreed that suffering is necessary to get to heaven. "For patience is necessary for you; that, doing the will of God, you may receive the promise." [Hebrews 10:36] But WHY is suffering the gate?, because God wants us to be perfect, and perfection is obtained through patience, and patience can only be exercised in trials, tribulations, sufferings. “Be you therefore perfect, as also your heavenly Father is perfect” [Matthew 5:48] “And patience hath a perfect work; THAT YOU MAY BE PERFECT AND ENTIRE, FAILING IN NOTHING.” [James 1:4]. To be impatient then is to be imperfect, incomplete, failing, BUT PATIENCE IS MERELY A CHOICE, OUR CHOICE, BETWEEN PATIENCE or ANGER, GOD or SATAN, GOOD or EVIL, PRIDE or HUMILITY, HEAVEN or HELL, GOD’ WILL or YOUR WILL, “Before man is life and death, good and evil, that which HE SHALL CHOOSE SHALL BE GIVEN HIM.” [Ecclesiasticus (Sirach) 15:18] “God had one son without sin, but He never had one without suffering.” St.Augustine “I suffer most when I don’t suffer” St. Padre Pio. Read also the Book of Judith Chapter 8:11-23. [11] And who are you that tempt the Lord? [12] This is not a word that may draw down mercy, but rather that may stir up wrath, and enkindle indignation. [13] You have set a time for the mercy of the Lord, and you have appointed Him a day, according to your pleasure. [14] But forasmuch as the Lord is patient, let us be penitent for this same thing, (because God sent this trial for their sins) and with many tears let us beg His pardon: [12] For God will not threaten like man, nor be inflamed to anger like the son of man. (because God can do everything and is dependent on no one) [16] And therefore let us humble our souls before Him, and continuing in an humble spirit, in His service: [17] Let us ask the Lord with tears, that according to His Will so He would shew His mercy to us: that as our heart is troubled by their pride, so also we may glorify (God) in our humility. [18] For we HAVE NOT FOLLOWED THE SINS OF OUR FATHERS, WHO FORSOOK THEIR GOD, AND WORSHIPPED STRANGE GODS. [19] FOR WHICH CRIME they were given up to their enemies,to the sword, and to pillage, and to confusion: but we know no other God but Him. [20] LET US HUMBLY (patiently) WAIT FOR HIS CONSOLATION, (magnifying God by our patience) and the Lord our God will require our blood of the afflictions of our enemies, and He will humble all the nations that shall rise up against us, and bring them to disgrace. [21] And now, brethren, as you are the ancients among the people of God, and their very soul resteth upon you: comfort their hearts by your speech, that they may be mindful how our fathers were TEMPTED THAT THEY MIGHT BE PROVED, WHETHER THEY WORSHIPPED THEIR GOD TRULY. [22] They must remember how our father Abraham was tempted, and being proved by many tribulations, was made the friend of God. [23] So Isaac, so Jacob, so Moses, and ALL THAT HAVE PLEASED GOD, PASSED THROUGH MANY TRIBULATIONS, REMAINING FAITHFUL. “Prove me, O God, and know my heart: examine me, and know my paths." [Psalms 138:23] For "He that hateth to be reproved walketh in the trace of a sinner: and he that feareth God will turn to his own heart.” [Ecclesiasticus (Sirach) 21:7] [24] But they that did not receive the trials with the fear of the Lord, but uttered their impatience and the reproach of their murmuring against the Lord, [25] Were destroyed by the destroyer, and perished by serpents. [26] As for us therefore let us not revenge ourselves for these things which we suffer.[27]"But esteeming these very punishments to be less than our sins deserve, let us believe that these scourges of the Lord, with which like servants we are chastised, have happened for our amendment, and not for our destruction." [Judith 8:24-27] Finally, remember Penance encompasses suffering and patience, and God made that imperative. “No, I say to you: but unless you shall do penance, you shall all likewise perish." [Luke 13:3] May Almighty God bless you all who read these words.
This is the patience of the saints, most relevant to the times we live in. ”[11]…torments…who have adored the beast, and his image, and whoever receiveth the character of his name. [12] Here is the Patience of the Saints, WHO KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD, and THE FAITH OF JESUS.” ( i.e. THE meaning One faith OF Jesus, and NOT simply “faith in Jesus”). [Apocalypse [Revelation) 14:12]
I’m confused. The Gospel says the Presentation in the Temple and the Purification of Our Lady took place 40 days after the birth of Our Lord. So Jesus was not circumcised a week after His birth, but 40 days later? Thank you for clearing this up.
no it was 40 days after not 8 law of Moses for the purification because it the new convent there was no circumcision vatican 2 does not know what they are talking about
God does not want us to suffer more than He wants to mold us into the saints He envisions us to be. Keep in mind that the keyword here is 'accepting', not loving. It is ridiculous and anti-Catholic to love suffering per se, instead one should love the over encompassing idea that God manipulates everything in the universe, whether bad or good to help us get to heaven. Now it is up to you to see that, understand, accept it and trust in Him. As it is said in the video, 11:34 - St. Basil - "For it [suffering] is a sign of a wondrous yet hidden thing; seen by the simple, but understood only by those whose minds are prepared."
BECAUSE HE WANTS US FOR HIS OWN. WE HAVE DEATH SO WE CAN FINALLY COME TO HIM. THIS EXISTANCE HERE ON EARTH IS TEMPORARY. PREPARE FOR ETERNITY WITH OR WITHOUT GOD. SUFFER WELL.
God is not the active author of suffering. But He will allow it. Why? The short answer is, because of our fallen nature we need it. We need it to put our pride and arrogance in check. We need it to remind us of our absolute need for God. And we have the joy of suffering. Joy? That's crazy. No, no it's not. When we suffer is when we are most conformed to Christ, who himself suffered.
For to you it has been granted on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake, having the same conflict which you saw in me and now hear is in me. - Philippians 1:29-30

Sorry. I had to 👎. "Tradition tells us Joseph was without original sin"? That's not right at all. Its so very important not to spread false doctrine, and especially not to label it as a fact of tradition. I'm so sad this video is out there for all to hear. Sensus Fidelium.....please consider taking it down.
@@zwijac My mistake ... I somehow mixed the two in my mind. I'll attempt to find out find out the source of the statement about Joseph, because I do remember hearing something similar.
I read that it is a pious tradition held by many saints that St Joseph was sanctified to a degree that was proportionate to his dignity as the foster father of Our Lord. This could include his being purified from original sin at some point in his life

Tradition (but not dogma) is that he was cleansed of original sin in the womb, upon the visit by the BVM with Jesus in her womb.
