8 out of 10 games I play, I’m going up against guys who are 10 times my skill level. I get shit on every 5 seconds an have to turn it off. I can’t even play it. That shit ain’t fun at all. I’m a casual player who plays very little, and when I play it, I’d rather play with guys my skill level. Not get my ass kicked every game
it’s so frustrating checking the scoreboard match after match and basically seeing the same KDs through the lobby every single time. almost ever single match is predictable and you’ll have to play at 100% every single match to win because they are always so tight. i want to blow people down and i want to get blown down sometimes (that’s what she said) im tired of the predictability.
The only thing we can do, besides vote with our wallets, is continue to raise awareness about SBMM and how it takes out the fun of games to those who are in the dark about it. Have to keep banging the drum. MW3 is a very good game for the most part, but SBMM is a cancer. I don’t give them money except for the game if it’s good, no skins, no additional purchases, none of that shit. I’d walk away completely if there was another viable option.
Try out the finals! Maybe battle but remastered for chill fun! Or look at the recent game awards for new games! Tom's of bangers! God of war got a free dlc!
I am waiting for xdefiant ( but with Ubisoft I'm taking this game with a grain of salt). I want to see what they do with the sbmm saying they won't have it and they will have a ranked day one. I will give it a chance but I haven't played cod in a couple years. Last one I tried was mw2 hoping they will improve but Soo far I'm not impressed. After that this game can not get me hooked like they did before.

You’re forgetting about the rigged gunfights and ai usage. Going against people your skill is just called ranked, not a single person would complain about a fair ranked mode. It’s the fact that you can see how rigged it is through the close matches, the random players joining halfway through the match and dominating. You’ll get good players leaving your team and being replaced with garbage. They do this in purpose it’s crazy. Watch HummusThunder, every single video he destroys so much that his teammates just leave. Not the enemy, his teammates? Make it make sense, his teammates leave while they’re winning. They’re kicking this people out the game to make it harder for him. It’s obvious.

That's why I quit as well... I loved this game years ago and spent hours on it to the point where I would say I was addicted to it, (just one more game kinda stuff) now I'll turn it on and play zombies with a few friends but outside of that I hate this game and what they have done to it. I won't even bother to buy another for me or my kids. I'll stick with games that don't feel like I'm being cheated 98 percent of the time.
So, getting shit on while getting good in MW2 is good and wholesome, but then the same thing happens in MW3 and that's bad and manipulative. So the same result, but different reasons...? What we're missing here is the data to support the claim that you're being given "throw me a bone" games as opposed to the natural up and down of what SSBM is designed to give. The idea that the reward for getting better should be TikTok worthy kill streaks is, to put it mildly, quite silly.
Hasn't been my experience. I only like sweaty tryhard gameplay but I don't like snd or other ranked modes. I didn't like games where I go 5-1 or 14-1 or whatever and if it gets that easy, I just end up trying to get executions or other troll kills because you realize no one else in the lobby is trying. You let your guard down and just start playing sloppy because no one is playing to win anyway and that became the whole vibe. Now my opponents are actually trying to win and I can't go around stungrenade ninja starring anymore and I rather like that. Maybe I just don't understand why anyone would want to play a game where their opponents are bad or aren't even trying to play the game. In a best case scenario, I'd WANT to be matched with people who shit on me 2-1 every match because why spend your limited gaming time being mediocre? People don't quit games because the game is too hard, they quit because the game doesn't offer a challenge.
To me, they should create brackets based on KD. So an example would be if you are at .5 kd and below should be matched together. .6 to .8 should be matched .9 to 1.1 should be matched. As you play more and your KD goes up you move into the next tier of lobbies. If you do poorly you drop down a tier. Just seems like a simple solution. As a casual player that maybe plays 4 hours a week, I hate being thrown in lobbies with sweats that play more hours a day than I can play in a week. It also benefits those who are sweats to play tougher competition or players with similar skills. It does not however benefit those that have a .8 KD playing with someone who has a 2.2+ KD. They just get demolished to the point that its not fun. Before I hear all the comments of Get Good! Well yeah, that's always an option except I have a job and child and have priorities. Gaming is an escape to have some fun. So my 1.13 KD is about as good as I can do given my age and lack of time to play.
I’d wider the KD range to still allow actual improvement within a bracket. Also gotta understand a games algorithm shouldn’t be tailored to the dad playing a couple hours a week who doesn’t have the time to practice or get good. It should be for the people that really care about how they play and the experience of the game, not a sedative to unwind.

im pushing a 1.5-8 kd and recently ive just been getting shit on, and now its down to 1.3 so the system is working, and same with my win/loss, i am willing to do anything for ubisoft to release xdefiant and play a fun modern shooter, cause i can use plutonium on bo2 and mw3 which is fun, but theres so few players. i just want cod to fail, especially here in aus where tradies (blue collar workers) play cod every night after work, and thats how most go pro or start youtube channels, but now because of the systems there barely any new cod players who feel they are good enough to post videos, making a content drought, its just sad to know all the fun stuff that came out of cod will have to sit there watching its corpse be repeatedly shocked every year back to life for a new "game"

I don't buy every CoD and I don't like Infinity Ward's visibility-challenged, sepia filtered, complex maps with doors and slide cancelling design where a Groot you can barely see slithers behind you and kills you because he knows the perfect five attachment blend for his weapon. Good for you Groot player, but I don't care. I like Cold War for it's three lane maps, bright colors and great player visibility and I still haven't moved on from playing Cold War. I like that Cold War brings back Slums, Raid and Hijacked but also has the 6v6 no-killstreak playlist on really tiny maps. Even when I played Modern Warfare 2019, I was happy playing Shipment and Shoot House or Ground War. I don't say I am representative of every mediocre player but what I can say is that there a lot of mediocre players like me not playing or buying MWII or MWIII or just playing Shipment or Shoot house or Zombies on older CoDs because it's dumb, mindless fun on a cheap game purchase. I think the simple truth is a lot of us whose first CoD was anything from Black Ops II to MW 2019 kinda just got off the annual CoD buying train. We're happy playing older CoDs or have moved on to a battle royale or even gone back to single player with games like Baldurs Gate 3 or CP 2077. Why does all this matter to MWIII 2023? Without tens of thousands us playing this game, you're not going to have that middle skill level that can contribute 4=6 out of the 12 players in a TDM or domination that give you a variety of skill matchups in gunfights across the hundreds of 6v6 matches in MWIII that are being matchmade every minute. You're going to have either incredibly skilled players or total noobs and kids disproportionally overrepresented in your matchmaking player pools. We're not kids excited to 6 v 6 after school every day and see if we can get a Harrier -> chopper gunner -> nuke. That was 13 years ago - we're students, professionals, parents who have little time and frankly are a little jaded with the CoD grind. No one cares if what prestige level I am in real life and I am sensible enough that instead of paying 10 bucks for a battle pass I can get a whole indie game made with love and passion for that kind of money. CoD works when EVERYONE playing CoD switches to the latest game. Unfortunately, that just doesn't happen anymore.

I hear that if you are doing bad or just bad the game gives you a bit of and/or more aim assist. I wanted to try it out. Try to have something to do. Kept holding a nade and then i shit you not I started hitting my shots again like it was magic it was just way too crazy of a coincidence idk anymore.

Really like the game, havent played cod in like 6 years. On one hand, going back to having one or two dudes putting up a 15 k/d every game is imo still worse than this current system. That being said, when i heard oh its skill based matchmaking I assumed its like ranked matchmaking in other games but in regular matchmaking, sick! Come to find out no, no its not, in the worst way. I like competitive games, having next to no system and having really good players get into borderline bot lobbies frequently completely ruins that, cry as some really good players might in the name of "fairrness" its really because its alot harder to just shit on every lobby theyre in, just not fair or competitive. The solution is to make a system that is actually skill parity based and applies consistently, sooo many other games do it, that fair, thats competitive, going consistently around 1kd and having close games is what makes it fun, and people atill have good or bad gamea and can pop off/feed but it doesnt feel futile. If you have poured 10 years into thia game and will annihilate me instantly 9/10 times, i dont want you in my lobby, i dont learn anything, no one has fun but you.
huh I must be tripping because SBMM is what solidified CSGOs popularity over the older CS games for good. It's still the #1 game on Steam precicely because it has a system in place that sets you up against people as good or better than you automatically.

It is the constant matching of skill level. The championship match compared to a past decade old competitive player game. SBMM, EOMM needs to change or be removed.

Any notice has there is a half second lag? Like when I have a riot shield and can see myself being in front of someone's gun, they just haopen to get me as if i haven't completely turn around. Its almost as if the game is calculating to see if i should dodge the bullet or not depending on how good you or the other player is doing. Just stopped playing COD and unless this match making crap is removed, literally never playing COD again. Look for other online games to play now.

I hear that if you are doing bad or just bad the game gives you a bit of and/or more aim assist. I wanted to try it out. Try to have something to do. Kept holding a nade and then i shit you not I started hitting my shots again like it was magic it was just way too crazy of a coincidence idk anymore.
You're not wrong im a 3kd player and i always win the first match and then have no aim assist against complete sweats, dont play for a couple of days and the aa is so strong the gun works for you game is rigged
Again why I won't play cod. I will play casual halo cause it is free but it's getting bad to the point that I won't play it unless it is a classic lan party.
Cod is dead. To me the devs don't have the innovation to carry the game future. Mico transactions with sbmm/eomm have ruined many shooters and it sad time for fps genre.

I would say that what we are dealing with is a person, or groups interpretation, or idea of what fair "should" be. Fair has no bias, it is rooted in having the same opportunity. This is based in the belief that fairness is defined by the outcome. That might resonate as being somewhat familiar...

Kill Streaks is part of the main focus? Did you for get CoD4 had camos too? I don't know about you but think that was the main thing no? Especially how the camo grind is now.

Really like the game, havent played cod in like 6 years. On one hand, going back to having one or two dudes putting up a 15 k/d every game is imo still worse than this current system. That being said, when i heard oh its skill based matchmaking I assumed its like ranked matchmaking in other games but in regular matchmaking, sick! Come to find out no, no its not, in the worst way. I like competitive games, having next to no system and having really good players get into borderline bot lobbies frequently completely ruins that, cry as some really good players might in the name of "fairrness" its really because its alot harder to just shit on every lobby theyre in, just not fair or competitive. The solution is to make a system that is actually skill parity based and applies consistently, sooo many other games do it, that fair, thats competitive, going consistently around 1kd and having close games is what makes it fun, and people atill have good or bad gamea and can pop off/feed but it doesnt feel futile. If you have poured 10 years into thia game and will annihilate me instantly 9/10 times, i dont want you in my lobby, i dont learn anything, no one has fun but you.

I kinda like it tbh, i was ranked top 5k global in cold war so it got very boring being top of leaderboard with 30+ kills every game.

huh I must be tripping because SBMM is what solidified CSGOs popularity over the older CS games for good. It's still the #1 game on Steam precicely because it has a system in place that sets you up against people as good or better than you automatically.

You want to give me a good game and make the game feel like I am doing really well, while in reality is that you are cheating for me, and then the next game or 2 moving forward it's someone else turn and I get shit on. No!!!! This makes me want to leave. I had my fun game now I am off to play something better.
Reality is that we players want a fair match. We earned our skill level and others can too. Can players be matched up with others of a similar skill level, sure, but we need that fair system.
- If I shoot first on player on the opposite team and my aim somehow is moved away, and that other players kills me because aim resist kicked in. That more than un fair.
- If I toss explosives and the other player only takes a hit marker and survives, or same with a sniper shot to the chest. That is an unfair setup because he would shoot me with a pistol, and I am dead.
It is the rigged gun fights, the every changing lobbies that are the problem. It is the constant matching of skill level. The championship match compared to a past decade old competitive player game. SBMM, EOMM needs to change or be removed.

Any notice has there is a half second lag? Like when I have a riot shield and can see myself being in front of someone's gun, they just haopen to get me as if i haven't completely turn around. Its almost as if the game is calculating to see if i should dodge the bullet or not depending on how good you or the other player is doing.
Just stopped playing COD and unless this match making crap is removed, literally never playing COD again. Look for other online games to play now.
