I also think $700M is because of his marketing powers, if someone else wants $700M they would probably need to be a two-way player and either Korean or Japanese.
Good point! But why can't we develop more two-way players from the USA? Why do they always have to come from other countries? 🤔
I think they do try, the Giants have Crawford and Eldridge, but I think they gave up on that.

These guys are so reaching so hard to disparage Ohtani’s ability. The same old narrative. If a player has elite abilities on both sides, there be more. Ohtani is the Pioneer- there is nobody like him in any sport.
We mentioned that we really like watching Ohtani play and are happy that his stardom brings attention to the game of baseball. We just wonder whether he's the only player on planet earth that's able to pitch and hit at the Major League level. Maybe he is and every other baseball player in the world are only athletic enough to focus on one side of the baseball. 🤷♂️
