Prone Foil Downwinding 🥳 - from City Beach to Sorrento, Perth Australia (Signature Albatross 210)

Prone foiling downwinding in dreamy conditions. 15 to 22 knots SSW wind, blowing for hours. After dedicating decades to surfing, and spending much time on the hunt for long rides, it really is mind blowing what is possible on a hydrofoil.
First - you catch a 0.5 foot mini-wave.
Second - you surf for an hour.
Was lucky enough to crash in the middle 3km of the run, in the "go nuts zone". Where there are waves on offer to get back up on foil easily.

Tips...
1. Spend lots of time flying (behind the boat, or with a wing or kite)
2. Learn to pump
3. Then try other stuff

G'day, yeah that's the 210. The restart... I can't capture those as the camera is in my mouth! I should probably devise a solution for this :)

What pole length you're using here may I ask?

Around a 90cm works well IMO. The camera settings in post are also important, to get the FOV correct.

how did you start your run?

Not sure how familiar you are with Perth, but of the 20 odd km stretch of coast to downwind along, there are little waves to get up on for about 10. In one of my earlier videos it shows getting up.
