considering that different future has a time traveling moogle and cid turned into a moogle its possible that is him but then why would he try to stop the lufenians by helping jack? if we assume the emperor being brought wasn't a mistake but secretly intentional then its possible he secretly wants the chaos of darkness not the order of light to fall upon the world but why i cant figure out
Hi I know this is an old video and you probably forgot most of the stuff from SoP But can I ask if you knew how come the fiends exist before Jack's Friend (like Neon become Marilith) hasn't even turned into one yet?
The collaborator has to be Jack himself. His motives are almost exactly what Garland from Final Fantasy IX wants: Not destruction, but rather a "reset" to prevent Necron from actually destroying everything which is what would happen if Terra assimilates Gaia. Garland from FFIX is likely Jack from SoP as well.
I've been following all of your videos and this is easily your best work. I personally think the Collaborator is a new character, but it's always fun to speculate. Thank you for the upload and please continue your excellent work as more expansions (lore) get produced -- I'm totally hooked!
Thank you so much! That really means a lot to me. I love diving into the lore of the games I play and picking them apart to try and figure out other bits of information! I hope the 3rd expansion will add some really crazy new info!
What about The Creator (or the race it came from) from FFIV: The After Years? It created elemental crystals and seeded them on many worlds. It could have indirectly created the Lufenians itself, and when they learned of the Creator and begged for its help, The Creator decided to help them out by sharing its crystal-creating technology with them.
@@Omnibus4EveryoneAnd considering the energy the collaborator wanted, them being The Creator could use it to continually power their massive, space-traveling and possibly dimension-hopping moon...and perhaps use it to power the machine that kept their form stable...at least until the warriors of FF4's world broke it.
Worth noting that Terra Tortura bears a very striking resemblance to FFXI's Promyvion zones... which are areas of different islands, connected by organic bridges and teleporters, filled with "emptiness" (darkness), remnants of death and decay, etc. The only difference between the settings, is that Promyvion zones are now completely devoid of any light. In FFXI's world, Vana d'iel, there exists 2 gods, Altana (light) and Promathia (dark), who coexisted to balance the world. At some point, the emptiness (darkness) began to infect Promathia, turning him more and more evil. To save him, Altana encapsuled the emptiness inside several mothercrystals. Each crystal contains an isolated area known as its Promyvion, which essentially serves as containment/dumping grounds for encapsulating excess emptiness. When re/generating life, a mother crystal would then place a bit of emptiness from its Promyvion inside each life, thus offsetting the overwhelming pressure on Promathia and saving him from complete corruption. The Zilart - the first, and supremely advanced humanoid race with telepathy - began receiving this emptiness inside them. This caused those with the emptiness to lose their telepathy, and thus, access to the Zilartian hive mind. Those "infected" with the emptiness were cast out from the Zilart. Without access to support, they were far less technically advanced, and very tribal. To offset this loss, they began studying and creating different forms of magic from the planet to help them, including elemental and summoning magic. They became known as the Kuluu. In an attempt to escape their shared fate of the Kuluu, the Zilart built interconnected stations - Crags - around 3 mothercrystals to harness their power and assist in this. Each Crag fed its energy to a central tower (Delkfutt's Tower), which we also visit in SoP (Ancient's Tower). Using this aggregated power, the Zilart would attempt to open the gates to paradise... a perfect utopian world (sound familiar?) where the emptiness did not exist. Ironically, this abuse of the crystals' power caused severe disorder/disruptions in the natural balance of the current world. The Kuluu, spurned by their exile, and anger against the Zilart for their abuse of the crystals and the planets energy, laid assault to the Delkfutts/Ancients tower. The ensuing assault led to a massive explosion in the tower, creating a powerful chain reaction between the crystals that shattered the containment of the emptiness in each. The Zilart disappeared afterwards (possibly killed from the explosion or transformed, it's unclear). The Kuluu who assaulted the tower were infected by the result of this explosion. They slowly mutated into short, green humanoid creatures with high magic affinities. We know them today as Tonberries. The emptiness then began to leak back into the world, but still housed in it's Promyvion containment zones.
Wow thats really interesting! I'm not caught up on the lore of ffxiv but just watched a video about solution 9 amd yeah it definitely seems kind of like Lufenians. The video talked about it maybe being asian (no idea spelling) technology, again I'm not familiar with ff14 but they sound a lot like the Lufenians (or even organization 13 from kingdom hearts haha) it will be interesting to see what it is though!
Here after the trailer for different futures. Is it safe to say the collaborator is the Emperor from FF2? The project/experiment is Omega? Since it's the final DLC, it's the ending where Jack finally destroys Lufenia using the power he gets from Omega. In the original FF1, the WoLs travel to what's remaining of Lufenia. Now the timeline is back to the Sacred Timeline of the original FF1. or Jack resets the timeline until WoL gets it right after 2000 years. and Who controls the WoL? the Player. You are the collaborator.
Ok ok if Enna Kro is one I didn't have in mind for a choice of collaborator but if it is her definitely has more depth to her character. Like with the different versions of Bahamut. Course the possibility of SOP Bahamut actually being from FFXV can add to that possibility.
Okay so hear me out " The Creator" ff4 TAY. It traveled many dimensions and bring bosses from many ff games so maybe it needs the energy to each univers to collect all crystals.
While it is a possibility, I highly doubt the Master of Masters is the Collaborator mainly because Kingdom Hearts is co-owned by Disney so any attempt to use Kingdom Hearts characters in th greater Final Fantasy Meta-canon would require a lot of red tape. Personally I do think it's Shinryu with Stranger of Paradise taking place "before" Dissidia and, with him no loner getting energy from the Stranger Project, he travels to World B and starts his deal with Cid, Cosmos, & Chaos.
Sorry to burst hopes, but it can't be the MoM. Simply because KH is co-owned by Disney. Square would not get a cornerstone of it's own IP locked in by Disney. My guess is it will simply be a new villain. I do like some of the theories in the comments harking back to FF4 and FF9. They seem more likely.
Interesting. i have things of Note: 1.) Kingdom Hearts i rule out due to it being NonCannon and Disney is pretty tight lip with alot of there IPs. 2.) Shinyru would be tricky since the Dragon's involvement in 14. 3.) with FFXVI coming up, you think Yoshi-P was aware of ANY of this?
doesn't matter if Yoshi P aware of this or not since he is not in charge of the brand itself, but only FF14 and 16. Final Fantasy is managed by Yoshinori Kitase as he is the brand manager.
definitely not enna kros. although very mysterious even in the game she debuts in, she doesn't seem like a destructive god and the fight that pre-big bridge alexander picked with her to become god only broke a castle hall from her mom's castle. she has been shown to be seemingly a neutral good god who doesn't directly solve problems and only helps heroes. if she was helping someone, she would've helped jack's team. also kros pronounced crow. world of final fantasy is a pretty good game so go play it because it seems like you haven't yet. also also, even though she's a god its been shown that there are some things beyond her power like the exnine knights and the cogna messing up a whooooole lot of worlds. seems like she can't meddle directly but also, it doesn't seem in character for her to give a power that great to people she helps. she's given lann and reyn fast travel, seraphie and tama as semi-competent guides, and enemies drop money. that's about it. doesn't seem like a god that would give anyone very abusable power.
Yeah that's true, but they changed the story of FF1 with Strangers of Paradise. While the Lufenians existed originally, they were never made to be the villains or these bad people who were manipulating everything
Watch the first few minutes it sounds like kingdom hearts to me. With that said your answer for number three might be closer than you think. Giing but your video he like to make similar characters so this game going to have much of the same

I would secretly love the MoM to be revealed to be the hidden big bad of FF the whole time, that tie in would be legendary lol.

That's definitely an optioon. The Terrans from IX are also an option

Late reply, but Terra Tortura is based on FFVI. More specifically the Floating Continent, and mentions statues representing the Warring Triad.
Something about Solution 9 from FFXIV upcoming DLC tells me it may give us an answer.
Wow thats really interesting! I'm not caught up on the lore of ffxiv but just watched a video about solution 9 amd yeah it definitely seems kind of like Lufenians. There was an moggle talkingg to bahamut in the beginning of His dlc, could id bei that this was Cid in His emortal,,great will"body?
Great video, love these

God forbid if the master of masters appears in Final Fantasy 14
I laughed out loud when you brought up the master of masters
Haha i know crazy right? But theres that little what if.... And it could fit! Thanks for watching! Who do you think it is?
That was literally my first thought after fact#2 lol

I'm hoping to make a new video once the final DLC comes out, is fhere anyrhing specific you'd like another video on?
The DLC is out tho... who the hell is Bahamut and that Gilgamesh guy.. not sure its cannon so didnt get it..
Great video I love these ideas almost enough to play kingdom hearts lol

look at plot thread of ff6 then ff3 and ponder what is kingdom hearts
Collaborator is Square Enix itself lol
Love the theory but its abit far stretched since kingdom hearts was made after FF XD
Yeah that's true, but they changed the story of FF1 with Strangers of Paradise. While the Lufenians existed originally, they were never made to be the villains or these bad people who were manipulating everything
