    Here I made a 40 cell Capacity Testing Station for 18650 salvaged from old laptop batteries. knowing the capacity, will allow in repacking the cells in to battery pack and power wall.
    I was contacted by JLCPCB a few months ago about their interest in sponsoring some of my projects and providing me with pcbs to speed up my projects. So I decided to restart my 18650 battery pack build project that I've always wanted to do for a ago time but got busy.

    In the next video, I will be making a 12volt 100AH battery pack for my solar system.
    Many more 18650 related videos to come.

    Happy 100th video! This one was really amazing, especially when combined with the previous video.
    Now I feel like hoarding old batteries and building a massive powerbank out of the good ones. :D

    After assembling this circuit I have seen that there are failures, one of the resistors has no connection on the PCB, the plates that measure the capacity remain raised, and the voltage input holes are very large and do not enter any type of connector, the positive and negative terminals of the plates are inverted and you have to cross them and that makes the plates not settle well, the PCB is very nice but not very practical

    hello, it's me again
    I just received the jlcpcb plates, why not solder the 4 pins of the module from the back, is it possible?
    I think it looks easy to do but in reality you have to be very good at soldering everything together, I also think soldering the wires under the zb2l3 board crossing each other makes it very difficult I think it's a design error
    I have to find another solution
    Thank you

  •  4 ปีที่แล้ว

    That 12v pack you are designing would it be suitable to being a smaller size for something portable? The Intel NUC for instance can run from 12-19v and it would be great to have a option using around 6 18650 cells to keep a NUC powered up.

    • @chriscars96
      @chriscars96 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm pretty sure he is using a ZB2L3 for the discharging. If so they can not charge battery's only discharge to a set voltage and record the mAh.
      For charging you would need something like a TP4056.

    • @MakerMan
      @MakerMan  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes

    • @pradeepdube1398
      @pradeepdube1398 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just to add.. If you are serious about the capacity measurement for some huge project, don't go for TP4056. They don't fully charge battery to 4.2V as there is some deviation from module to module. Or use only selected ones which can charge fully up to 4.2V.
