From "Divan e Shams":
I love Persians, I love their History, I love their Culture, I love their hospitality
I want to see a Turk, a Farsi, and a Kurd sitting together on that stage! This will happen one day.
This happens everyday in iran, you're an idiot lol
@@pinkfloyd364 I knew that bro!!..But!. Tehran refuses to really recognize it's Kurdish younger brother want's His Own Free House!! Tehran must not be like that twit Erdogan & his homicidal fear of our Kurdish friends! It's so sad bro.
My Sun and Moon, my sight and hearing
that Beauty suddenly appeared by my side.
The one who was always in my thoughts
for whom I've searched so long
has come to me with open arms
laying flowers on my path.
My deepest wish has been granted.
What can I fear when my shield
my water of life has come?
Today is a day of Glory!
Today I am like Solomon
with the ring of abundance on my finger
and the divine crown on my head.
I can fly for he has given me wings
I can roar like a lion, I can rise like dawn.
No more verses
for I am taken to a place from where
this world seems so small.
-- Ghazal (Ode) 633

Nice!
Muhteşem
Actually he is Azeri Turk but some Azeri Turks live in Iran. And the culture is middle east culture, music too.
The song name means "Sun and Moon"
He is an Iranian of the ancient Azarbaijan province of Iran and NOT a Turk Madam, Turks live in Turkey. As for Azerbaijan Republic, you should ask them what they are!
firstly, please be polite. Turk means general name, not Turkish. We are useing this word about central of Asia. I just said he is Azeri in Iran and he has two different culturel colour about voice. I loved his voice and i shared something, it's not more than anything.

Does anyone have a translation of this poem? I would love to understand what he is singing!

@ Mualla Saglam : please don't talk about something that you know about it nothing! Azeri Not Turk! they are different ! Mr. Davood Azad Is Iranian he was born in Oroumiye-Iran and learnt Iranian traditional music in Tabriz-Iran :) (@ MissIran2013) The Culture Is Persian Culture that have many similar factors with other Iran's contemporary neighbors because they were part of the Persia some of them not at a very old times :) Such as Azerbaijan and Iraq even Turkey but the Music and the culture of this countries with many similarity have many differences . western people say Middle East to all the countries of this area cause they can't recognize the differences !
Müthiş...
yes
is he Iranian ?
Azeri, Turk, Chinese, British... so what? Anyone has any idea what the lyrics are saying? I don't understand them but I know that it has nothing to do with narrow minded nationalism, anyway an artificial transplant from the 19th century Europe that somehow continues to show it's ugly and less than intelligent face in the rest of the world.
Dawood Azad is not singing to celebrate his nationality, in case you are not aware. Just listen to the music and soften your heart.
A lyric from mawlana jalal ad din RUMI's poems. He wrote this for his dearest master; my sun and my moon has come!
