Golden Sun is forever the GOAT
Wise words, Xemnas.
If you only now how to play💯
Swear brother
I think LUnar 1 may be one of the most remade jrpg's of all time. Fun watch and it inches us closer to your PS4 list. Also a huge huge thank you Erick to taking on a huge huge project like this :) It has been a amazing series to watch and learn from.
I think Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest remakes might give Lunar a run for its money.
@@thenuclearsandwich Don't forget Ys I&II.
Gracias Erick!
¡Gracias, amigo!
I'm surprised! There aren't quite as many as I thought.
@AJM_The Black-Fenrir Is there any japanese-only with available patch?
th-cam.com/video/82_2KD8m27I/w-d-xo.html Thank you for sponsoring my video Eric!
Enjoying the videos Erick. Think you'll do a complete list of tactical rpgs per platform at some point?
And Action RPGs hope so
I have a vast majority of these and it makes me realize, just how many of them I still need play.
The GBA games I have are the Golden Sun series, Phantasy Star Collection, Breath of Fire, Breath of Fire II, and Zoids Legacy. Of the games I’ve beaten are the first Golden Sun, the Phantasy Star, and Zoids Legacy.
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban was a turn based JRPG not made in Japan. ; )
Shrek was also an anime not made in Japan
@@MatheusCayresdeMello No, really. That game had a JRPG style of gameplay.
Yeah, this seems to not be complete. Medabots was missing too at the least
@ 4:28 I got so excited to see Zoids Legacy omg. It and Golden Sun are some of my favorite GBA JRPGS, I have them both emulated, and Golden Sun: The Lost age as I've not played that one. And I'm also a huge Pokemon fan.
Me- "when are you releasing Mother 3"
Nintendo- "NEVER"
:'(
FACTS
Grab a bootleg of the fan translation!
Goddamn the Golden Sun games' soundtrack still hits hard
Golden Sun 1&2, Lufia Ruins of Lore, Lunar Legend, Final Fantasy I&II, Final Fantasy IV-VI Advance, Fire Emblem 6-8, etc. The best portable Nintendo System.
Thanks for this video it's very helpful but if you wouldn't mind a small suggestion.
If you're not going to put a list in the description or in the comments of the games in the video,
then maybe it would be better to leave the name text on the screen throughout the entire game preview.
If you think it's too much of a distraction, then just make the text smaller.
Leaving the name on the screen throughout would be very helpful IMO.
Especially for someone who is searching through the video for a specific game.
Just an opinion.
Either way very helpful IT..
Thank you very much I appreciate it.
I'll never understand why they made a Lufia game set 20 years after Lufia 2 without making Maxim's son the main character.
GBA is such a good system. It's one of my main systems I collect for. I love cib games but prices are getting nuts :(
cib?
@@nexzorg3286 complete in box
Emulation is king if you game and don’t care about collecting.
@AntilleanConfederation Obviously everyone knows that for like 20 years now or something.. 🙄
That video was really helpful!
Bof2 still one of the best rpg in my list
You forgot Bionicle Maze of Shadows
You should do the complete list of turn based rpgs re-released on mobile
Will you get a emulator for Sega Saturn, so you can play and review the RPGs on that system? Any suggestions for good RPGs on phones?
Yes! Finally i found the game that i was looking for for damn years!
I had Breath of Fire II on GBA as well as Riviera on both GBA and PSP.
Magical Vacation
I'm just waiting to hear from Erick about Ys IX
I've mixed feelings about the fact that we're getting it until next year. Happy but at the same time, disappointed.
@@ericklandonsecondchannel Yeah, that's true. Especially since it COULD be late 2021 which would still take some time...
Is Megaman Battle Network not considered "turn based"?
Websites such as Wikipedia mark it as "real-time strategy". Since there is no turn order in any of the games, and you can manually move the character on the grids to attack, I'd say it's more action than anything.
@@ericklandonsecondchannel hmmmm... the chip selection part does count as a "turn" though.
Medabots dint count ??
Rivera is such an interesting one
It's quite good. You should give it a shot!
It's crazy how many times Lunar 1 got remade.
And this GBA port is the absolute worst.
I like the PSP port of Lunar
Great video, you forgot to add harry potter and the prisoner of azkaban
Craft knight, shinning force, yu gi oh, medabots etc there's alota good turn based rpgs
FFII training system is legendary, good times kick me itself XD
No, this list is incomplete... because i feel empty inside that GoldenSun & Breath Of Fire series never became popular enough to continue
Blame the failure of Breath of Fire on the fifth and sixth game of the series. Besides, this isn’t about every entry of the series relating to the games that came out on a system, but the games that did come to the system.
Golden sun was popular until the 3rd game, and bof was very popular until the 6th game
You name your charmender ,.....
Sword
forgot Harry Potter and the prisoner of Azkaban
What about the Medabot game?
Robopon! So underrated.
The nostalgia though
Golden Sun on the top once again.
Hey man you forgot to mention Magical vacation.
Not released in NA
you missing the harry potter games for Gba they are also turned base combat.
wheres MAGICAL VACATION
Until FFX, after FF3, all FF games weren't really turn based. They were time-based with a menu.
I want to see a Gameboy color...
Does anyone know what the deleted video was on the top 10 Jrpg platform playlist. Does anyone know why it was deleted
I'm looking for a turn based RPG game I played when I was young. I only remember the game is 3vs3 turn based game. It use robot animal to fight. The main character was given 3 fire element robot to choose at the 1st, eagle, wolf and chick. We can catch other robot animal with the special hand gloves. Can someone tell me the game's name if you guys know what is it call please
Ow, my ears are hurt from hearing those butchered soundtracks from most of those games, especially those ports of those classics RPGs.
Hahaha, yeah, GBA sound was...well...bad.
luckily golden sun soundtracks are GOLD
5:53 O MEU DEUS EU ESTAVA PROCURANDO ESSE JOGO A ANOS OBRIGADO A O DONO DO CANAL OBRIGADO DEUS😭🥰😊
What is the name of the song in end of the video?
Too Bad Mother 3 Did not released in the West, otherwise it would have appeared in the video...Oh well, to me it remains one of the best jrpg ever made for GBA
Also, I am not a fan of how the Soundtrack is in the GBA games most of the time, it is.... weird
But that might be just me :v
I am finding game when i was young. I played it but i dont know the name.
The game is turn base game
We will be blue spherical monster that have only eyes then we have to kill monsters for get its organ such as kill a bee we will got string that increases our Atk.
I dont know about this game
Who know pls tell me😢😢
Good lord, lol, no wonder Final Fantasy took off as the premier JRPG - everything else (barring Golden Sun) looks and sounds absolutely atrocious. Obviously, Pokemon is an exception, but it's more of a normie RPG than JRPG.
Over half the list are remakes 😂
Yeah, kind of ironic, isn't it? We think we live in the ports/remakes era but nope, we've been living on it since the start of the century.
Can't complain since these versions are the ones i like the best for many of these remakes
Summon Night
Please, stop put this awful filters on the pixelated graphics. It looks strange when fan of the retro games getting shy about it. Also, filters not making it better, it making it worse and ugly.
You haven't played video games long enough. We all have astigmatisms.
