I feel so joyful when they say _"I work in architecture/interior design"_ rather than _"I am an architect/interior designer"_ It gives me a sense of them as people beyond their jobs, and their lack of strong identity attachment rings of humility. Thanks so much! 🙏🏻
i rarely leave comments on YT, but i gotta say this house is F-ING AMAZING!!!!! absolutely love the idea and thought process behind it all. that kitchen is to die for
Such a unique home! Never knew we could reconfigure the kitchen into a common bedroom like that! Love LOVE the corridor layout, has the old heritage vibes but keeps it modern and playful in the space. Super inviting imo! Can tell the homeowners/designer's passion and talent in designing homes. Another well shot and edited home Stacked Homes!❤
I really enjoy when interior designers reconfigure existing layouts in dynamic ways. That’s the appeal in buying older resale HDBs. Many great pointers from the designer duo that I personally look out for in a home as well. It’s difficult to prioritise a home with a view over other practical considerations, but being able to look out and see greenery makes a world of difference imo. The flat just being a tad above the trees is a sweet spot, where you get a mixture of greens and blue sky. Contrary to many other commenters, I personally feel this redesigned layout would serve the addition of kids even better than the original.
The calm and minimalist but at the same time botanical feel that this apartment gives is exactly what I look forward to as a young architecture student. The feeling this creates is amazing
Thank you for considering botanical feel in your future architectural career. Light too - that is so important. Not enough houses are designed with these elements in mind and they impact the daily living to such a large degree.
A lot of good suggestions on the kitchen area, especially for some people who enjoy hanging out more in the kitchen and dining area than the living room.
What a creative new layout. It wouldn't be half as spectacular if it's not for the window placements. That kitchen is definitely the show stopper here.
The house truly reflects the owner's personality, and I love it! Little details like the switches that form a row in the kitchen are such a fun way to display it. Could you share the paint colour/name used for the entire interior? I'm at the stage of choosing paint colours, and is having a headache with that. Thank you sooooo much! :)
The floorplan of this place is amazing! Wish there were units available like this (at a reasonable price) where I live. That lounge layout is a bit mystifying to me though... one armchair, sitting diagonal to the tv. I guess they aren't avid tv watchers!
Love the design and layout, esp the curtain separator. Kinda regret the folding windows/doors for separating my living room and the kitchen. I end up never really using it. Would be good to also share the rough breakdown for such a reno project if not a total cost of it?
Very interesting layout change for a HDB--how did they get the permission to complete relocate the kitchen, especially the sink? From what I understand, it has to be located within the original wet area (i.e. kitchen)
As a foreigner living in SG, I have tried living in HDBs and Condos. One of the weakest points of living in HDBs (government subsidized apartments) is the noise pollution from your neighbors, some from traffics. As such, you may redo your windows, but could never open it.
i feel the guy had very good experiences (like that flos one) when he was studying architecture ...i totally get what he means. and he seems good at what he does.
One Question. Why is the dining table at the entrance of the house and not at the back or somewhere else? suppose u are having a dinner meeting/party with guests, and an unwanted guest comes to your house, what will you do with the feast spread on the table at the entrance of the house?
I like the couple and the their vibe, but seeing this apartment ... I would never hire them. The layout is now worse than the initial one, flat entrance with those repulsive bricks is so horrid, gross curtains everywhere. The kitchen is lively, but it makes me feel like I am in a hallway, same goes for the office part. The overall sensation of the property is messy and unsettling. It is their apartment and it's their personal expression, I just do not like it at all.
Sorry the exterior of the hdb flat is beyond your control... a few years after you move in.. your neighbours with zero design background will vote to paint nauseating colours that will make you lose your appetite on most days!
@ 3:06 she was talking about how she liked the exterior colour scheme.. and I'm saying it's not going to last coz your neighbours could be colour blind
Large spaces can be depressing too - vacuous, cold, and lonely (unless there are many people living there). Many of us prefer smaller spaces that are more intimate and personal. Less cleaning too! Regardless of size, the most important elements are the function, storage availability that matches the needs of the number of owned items, layout, daylight, indoor / outdoor feel, and cohesive materials and trim.

Thanks so much! 🙏🏻
It adds a humble, personal touch that makes them more relatable. Thanks for sharing!
Such a soothing video especially with that background music. Always interesting to see other people's house
It really does set the perfect vibe, doesn’t it? The music complements the home beautifully.
That steel bar for the kitchen counter is smart, will copy that idea.
Definitely a clever design choice! It's amazing how small details like that can make a big difference. 😊
I think this couple is too sweet. Best of luck in the future when creating children spaces! 🎉
Yes best of luck to them if they plan to expand their family 😊
i rarely leave comments on YT, but i gotta say this house is F-ING AMAZING!!!!! absolutely love the idea and thought process behind it all. that kitchen is to die for
It's a jaw-dropping masterpiece, isn't it? Glad you decided to share your thoughts! 😊

It's a testament to creativity and versatility in design. Kudos to the homeowners and designers for their passion and talent! 😊

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Totally agree-reconfiguring layouts brings a fresh vibe to older HDBs. 😊
The additional steel bar for kitchen counter is a great idea to prevent the water splash to your clothing when leaning.
It is! What a genius move 😊
This is a beautiful home!!!! I love the colours and spacious warmth! And clean aesthetics not too cold but it’s warm and Fun! Simple!
Thank you! We're thrilled you appreciate the warmth and simplicity of the design. 😊
Very nice. Especially that curved entrance glass wall. That's a great unexpected design element which seem to work really well.
Thanks! That curved glass wall adds a unique touch, doesn't it?
I love how homey and lived-in this space is!
Creating a cozy atmosphere is always the goal. Thanks for appreciating the vibe! 😊
WOW! I absolutely love the design of this home. It feels so big for its square footage. I’m so inspired!
Such a cute couple. And the apartment is a huge improvement on what was there before. Well done.
Thank you! We're glad you think so. Appreciate your kind words! 😊
This is a manifestation of beauty embracing one's heritage while fearlessly exploring new avenues of creativity. 🧡🧡
It's a beautiful fusion of heritage and creativity. 🥰
The calm and minimalist but at the same time botanical feel that this apartment gives is exactly what I look forward to as a young architecture student. The feeling this creates is amazing
Sounds like you've found your architectural vibe! Glad you resonate with it.

The kitchen and dining area can be the heart of the home for many.😊
It has been so hard to find such a lovely kitchen with stainless steel countertops.
It really is! 😊
What a nice house, Brian and Audrey! Great material selections!🎉
Definitely! Brian and Audrey nailed it with their design and material choices. 😊
taking notes for my own home someday
Great idea!
Curtains, coffee and greenery...what a cool space.
This couple know exactly how they want to live in a space.
Brilliant👌
Absolutely! Their vision for the space is crystal clear, and it's brilliantly executed. 👌
What a creative new layout. It wouldn't be half as spectacular if it's not for the window placements. That kitchen is definitely the show stopper here.
The window placements elevate the entire space, and that kitchen steals the spotlight for sure 😊
Such a cute couple!
They are 💯
I'm a fan of the kitchen and all the counter space.
Thanks! The space makes cooking enjoyable.
love the terracotta tiles
They add such warmth and character to the space, don't they?
airy and homey just the way I like it
Glad to hear it! It's always great to know when it hits the mark! 🤗
Attention to details was so amazing!nice kitchen set up,guys!quite bigger too.audrey looks happy with it though.😊
The attention to detail is remarkable, especially in the kitchen setup.😊
The house truly reflects the owner's personality, and I love it! Little details like the switches that form a row in the kitchen are such a fun way to display it.

wow.. just wow.. dam nice and cosy home!!!
It's a wow-worthy, cozy haven indeed!
They seem like two very nice people and their home is that rare mix of design-focused but homey...
Their warmth shines through, making their home both stylish and inviting.
Such an amazing house ❤
It's truly amazing. 😊
The floorplan of this place is amazing! Wish there were units available like this (at a reasonable price) where I live. That lounge layout is a bit mystifying to me though... one armchair, sitting diagonal to the tv. I guess they aren't avid tv watchers!
Indeed, the floorplan is impressive! The lounge layout might be unconventional, but it reflects their unique lifestyle.
What an inspiration! Finally something worth watching!
Glad you found it inspiring! It's always great to stumble upon content that resonates. 😊
I love the design of your home 🩷👏
Thank you so much! It's truly appreciated. 😊
Love the design and layout, esp the curtain separator. Kinda regret the folding windows/doors for separating my living room and the kitchen. I end up never really using it.
Would be good to also share the rough breakdown for such a reno project if not a total cost of it?
very tasteful and practical
Agreed! Tasteful design meets practicality. 💯
Love it! Their pottery is 👌
Glad you love it! Their pottery is indeed 👌
I would love more information on the bathroom ceiling...I really like it.
Nicely curated for them! Won't replicate for all couples or young families.
It's tailored perfectly to their style and needs. Every home should reflect its occupants uniquely. 😊
I want what they have 🧡
Who doesn't? 😊
Very interesting layout change for a HDB--how did they get the permission to complete relocate the kitchen, especially the sink? From what I understand, it has to be located within the original wet area (i.e. kitchen)
Flos, USM, Edward Hopper, Lelit.. gee these guys have solid taste
The Flos 265! How did they fit into standard HDB ceiling?
Like the bright setting and the kitchen is opposite the living area how much was the renovation
Could you share where you got the lamp for the dining room from?
As a foreigner living in SG, I have tried living in HDBs and Condos. One of the weakest points of living in HDBs (government subsidized apartments) is the noise pollution from your neighbors, some from traffics. As such, you may redo your windows, but could never open it.
Totally get your point. Thanks for sharing your experience!
i feel the guy had very good experiences (like that flos one) when he was studying architecture ...i totally get what he means. and he seems good at what he does.
His passion shines through, and his expertise is evident in every detail. 😊
such a nice apartment
It's a real gem. 💯
nice apartment
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching.
Nice house and layout. I am just surprise HDB now allow kitchen (wet) to be relocated to the existing living area (dry).
Where can I find room light attached to the wall in dining area?
Tycho!
What was the metal bar shelving unit in the Lounge?
What's the name or website of their professional studio?
Where to do and hang the laundry?
Where can i buy that rainshower?
Where is the washing machine?
❤❤❤❤❤
One Question. Why is the dining table at the entrance of the house and not at the back or somewhere else? suppose u are having a dinner meeting/party with guests, and an unwanted guest comes to your house, what will you do with the feast spread on the table at the entrance of the house?
Wah change the kitchen into common room 😂
nice. however, most of the episode was round and round the dinning, kitchen and sitting area, after a while feeling dizzy and bored
Fair point! Thanks for the feedback. 😊
Wait till kids come along , good luck
Haha, true! Thanks for the reality check! 😊
Where’s the laundry area or washing machine?? 😅
orh. so old hdb is heritage apartment arh.
Old HDB apartments definitely hold their own unique charm! 😊
So its true that people live like ants in Asia.
This apartment is so depressing 😵💫
I guess that depends on the culture you grew up with 😊 The home looks pretty spacious and well maximised 😊
As an architect and ID designer, the owners could make the place more cluttered free. Sometimes, less is more.
In the end it depends on the homeowners and how they feel comfortable in their own home 😊
Curtain can cut off kitchen smell meh....must be you guys only cook ang-mo food that's why.
I like the couple and the their vibe, but seeing this apartment ... I would never hire them.

Appreciate your honesty! Everyone has their own taste when it comes to design. 😊
A bit officy
Thanks for sharing your thoughts 😊
Just feels no one wanna have children anymore 😂
It does seem like a trend, doesn't it? 😂
Sorry the exterior of the hdb flat is beyond your control... a few years after you move in.. your neighbours with zero design background will vote to paint nauseating colours that will make you lose your appetite on most days!
Well at least you have a say in the interior 😬
@ 3:06 she was talking about how she liked the exterior colour scheme.. and I'm saying it's not going to last coz your neighbours could be colour blind
住在这么小的房子,真的有意思吗····看上去很压抑
