- The Hyundai Venue N Line is the go-to compact SUV if you want performance and features, however, the Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor that is based on the Maruti Fronx, is also quite fun to drive and gets good kit too. Saumil Shah finds out which one is better.

Toyota Taisor weighs 1060Kg @ 7:40
Venue weighs 1202 Kg @ 10:22
Considering just 142 kg weight difference , and venue being 20hp more power, and extra 24 Nm torque means that
Suzuki boosterjet is better tuned engine than Hyundai TGDI engine.
venue has 13.39% more weight , but has 20% more power and 16.2% more torque.
+ aerodynamics( boxy and tall venue)
Venue from outside is as big as Nexon, but once we sit in the driver seat it feels so small like an alto
Seriously bro..😂😂😂 there is coincidence that I have both nexon and venue. My elder brother uses the venue and trust me the venue is far better than nexon in terms of space and performance. Rear passengers feel more comfortable in venue
@@gogreenev2034 i agree with him venue and sonet feels so cramped
Exactly so and sonet is more crumpy inside, I think in sub 4 segment, most spacious with decent boot is only brezza.
Even before buying my car taken Baleno, as more space inside than venue.
True. Interior space is one of the weak points of the venue. The fit and finish is far better than the Nexon though, the quality of the materials used inside is also superior to the Nexon.
Safety wise, venue is questionable, HMG's much more expensive 20 lac seltos failed quite miserably in the crash test (barely scraped past 2 stars), so until the venue/sonet is crash tested, it remains questionable.
Suzuki should use this booster jet engine in ciaz and baleno, baleno did have an RS version earlier with the same engine but discontinued due to low sales
The venue used here is an older one. Venue has 3 headrest now on the rear seat and the rear armrest is gone. The most important feature that Venue has since last Nov is level 1 ADAS and integrated air purifier
5:21 do you guys have an older Venue on test? It has had a three-point belt for the centre seat since last May.
Comparisons always show the power and torque figures, but usually omit the weight, which is a key factor of performance. Here there are 250kg difference, so the power/weight ratio is in favour of the Taisor despite a less powerful engine. You mention the weight of the Venue, but I don't think you mentioned that of the Taisor (or I may have missed the moment). Anyway, great review that give a good feel of both these cars.
Venue N line has better handling then Taisor, it has all 4 disc brake it has better Gearbox, Venue 1.0 Turbo engine revs higher, then how can Taisor win?
250kgs? The weight difference between Taisor turbo AT and Venue DCT's is around 120-130kgs. Where are those extra 20bhp and 28Nm of Venue gone? Engine wise Boosterjet is slightly better than Turbo Gdi of Hyundai.
Point noted. We have mentioned the weights at 7:40 and 10:22 for the Taisor and Venue respectively. Next time, we'll put up a slate where these can be compared directly.
@@saumil.shah28 Also you completely ignored saftey in terms of build quality for both. Life is precious you see.
@@supriyo_dey8653I think it's the gearbox holding the engine back, even during the Autocar's track day video they mentioned the Fronx got a higher top speed than i20 nline. Fronx's AT is probably better than the Hyundai's DCT
Saumil, as always.. A great comparo from you.
For a Sub 4m 1L Turbo Petrol, Considering All the Aspects like Engine, Space, Ride Comfort, Safety - Build Quality, Features, Ground Clearance etc these are the best options
Renault Kiger Turbo, Nissan Magnite Turbo, Hyundai I20 N Line Turbo
I'll prefer Hyundai Venue N Line
Back seat of Venue is rather tight. Taisor/ Fronx/Baleno back seats seem more generous.
yall should do a drag race between these 2
Both are great great cars much better than TATA cars which have pathetic engine. Nexon's 120 hp engine performs even worse than an i10 .
lol
Pls review i20nline or venue nline ❤
How is this a comparison? Forgive me for my ignorance if I’ve got it totally wrong but if I was looking for a compact SUV I’m not sure if I would ever consider the Taisor. We can very clearly see how both cars look from the outside and the Taisor does does have SUV proportions or design. And trust me I’ve sat inside the Fronx and driven it, which is the exact same as the Taisor here, and it feels EXACTLY like a hatchback, zero SUV feel. Not to say that it is not a good car, in fact I quite like it and I know that a lot of people too like the crossover look but I’m sorry I just don’t see this two cars as a good comparison.
Yeah mostly true but ppl will compare as they fall under same budget
I would easily pick the Venue N Line between the both!..
Venue NLine interiors ❤
In my pov toyota taisor is better suited for smooth highway cruises and the venue n line is good for speed lovers and for those who wants seemlss and quick gear shifts.
A bit of foolishness here from Autocar. Dented my loyalty. Been driving an N Line for 1 and a 1/2 years and it is much much better than what this review suggests. Review appears to be Toyotised.
Not sure why anyone would consider this while you can get the Taigun and Kushaq at the same ex showroom price
Over priced hatchback
But truly smart Fronx
I think service cost wise and reliability toyota taisor is winner with less worry of car stranded due to dct transmission failure as noted by most hyundai users and service centre scam is also most reported by hyundai owners
In us hyundai and kia latest models have problems
@@kevij371 yes that I know due to transmission and airbags issue
Good comparison. But Safety features aren't compared.
Taisor or fronx in both cars tall people hit at top while sitting inside. But venue has proper length to width to height dimensions
NLine gets the same engine as the regular venue. This kills the sportier image. Rather they should have powered it with Verna's engine tuned to 140ps and 200NM but with a better gear box.
Venue just seems like a better put-together car though!
The seat on Venue is quite small, his shoulders are above the seats!! And the performance numbers are quite low for a sporty nline version.
140 kg weight difference will make the difference. Boosterjet is easily the more peppier one.
Automatic transmission Torque converter vs 7 DCT 🎉
Auto car India the GOAT!
What competes with hyundai exter then?
Tata punch
Punch
toyota brand name 😍
venue doesnt like suv at all. same goes with sonet. actually if u see one is paying a suv price for a crossover
Urban cruiser Taisor is Fronx.
And n8 use electro chromic mirror
Venue n line has more performance.. its dct gear box is uncomparable with TC in taisor..
Driving experience is too good than taisor..
Better compare taisor with magnite turbo..
DCT is actually much quicker except in drag race/0-100kmph time where u need to know how to launch the DCT well.
8:19 what a view
That taisor isnt even a compact suv, misses basic features like digital instrument cluster and rear armrest. But it is winner? 🤮🤮
Even venue n line doesn't offer rear armrest 😶😂
@@shonemanoj5657see 5:04
How is a digital instrument cluster a basic feature??
@@imaysin97 True, and analogue instrument cluster looks way sportier!
@@imaysin97 hyundai/kia don't have analog speedometer,
I know people have preferences, I like digital
toyota ko bolo sunroof dene k liye
Sunroof has less practicality in 50 degree temperature at most india cities
Venue sucks😮
Taisor looks like more suv than venue 😂
In a parallel world.
I dislike SUV looks though.
