    One thing that helped me to increase my credit score from 670 to 780 . If my statement date is 30th of every month (which I changed after calling bank) I pay 50% on 13th and next 50% on 27th in that way system knows that I paid my due and that too twice in half. There are some Netflix web series on financial awareness and this trick is still helping me

      did you ask your bank to change it to 30th or some other date ?? i think 30 of the month is the sweet spot . i was hoping to pay full due just before 5 days of actual due date but if this trick is good i will use it for this whole year

    Another suggestion is to pay the credit card bill a day or 2 before due date. It helps build your credit because it shows a longer credit utilisation period.

    Adding auto pay for credit card is a good practice too. It will always make the payment closest to due date

    Tip: If you want to buy something that is worth very close or even more than the limit of your credit card, make the credit card payment first and then make the purchase.
    Some places only accept credit card and you might not have high enough limit to make that payment.

    I don't know if you are right person to answer this but just asking as you're into finance and have good overview of credit cards.
    The first credit card that I received has been expired now and I requested for date extension- they extended it only by 3 months which means that card can no longer be used after 3 months and my monthly utilization will be 0% I'm sure that will adversely impact my credit score. Any suggestions here please..?

    piyush bhaiya, just one doubt. if i use hardly 10 to 20% of my credit limit. So, will it affect my credit score or not? My credit limit is 2000 and i hardly use 200 sometimes even 100. thanks!

    The KOHO card gets reported on your credit report as a new account, which you can not close as it will reduce your credit score. So it's a loop of you paying the monthly KOHO fee for forever and it adds up.

    • @PiyushCanada
      @PiyushCanada  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      What do you suggest then? Do nothing? I worked in a subprime Finance department and worked with people with less than perfect credit. Trust me when I say this, nothing changes if you don’t take action.

    I have a question ..
    If my credit card limit is $1000 and my rent is 550 (which is higher than 30% of advised amount to spend) wont it make a bad impact on my credit card if i use it to pay my rent through the credit card.
    And also please suggest best option through which i can pay my room rent.

    Even after knowing all of this things i have dented my credit score which is dropped below 600 now because i maxed out 2 cards as i paid my fees and unable to pay full amount now due to my situation. Although i pay more than minimum due since 2 months am expecting to clear full card dies in 2 months. How long it will take after 2 months to get back to good credit score

    What is the range for a good credit score ???

    • @PiyushCanada
      @PiyushCanada  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There's more than one credit scoring model available and more than one range of scores. However, most credit score ranges are similar to the following:
      800 to 850: Excellent
      Individuals in this range are considered to be low-risk borrowers. They may have an easier time securing a loan than borrowers with lower scores.
      740 to 799: Very good
      Individuals in this range have demonstrated a history of positive credit behavior and may have an easier time being approved for additional credit.
      670 to 739: Good
      Lenders generally view those with credit scores of 670 and up as acceptable or lower-risk borrowers.
      580 to 669: Fair
      Individuals in this category are often considered “subprime” borrowers. Lenders may consider them higher-risk, and they may have trouble qualifying for new credit.
      300 to 579: Poor
      Individuals in this range often have difficulty being approved for new credit. If you find yourself in the poor category, it's likely you'll need to take steps to improve your credit scores before you can secure any new credit.
