      @@cbphotovideotips I actually just bought the 11-16 version to keep the price with filter and shipping to less than $400.00 and this video of yours cleared up the confusion about the 2 lenses.

      No iris problem for you with the blackmagic update ? So many people have some issue

    Extremely happy with mine ef mount copy adapted to efm with my Canon M50-MKll. Super accurate auto focus. Auto focus a bit noisy than USM or STM Canon lens. Video on manual focus it's perfect. This one is a keeper.

    id love to see how they improved the af noise. maybe if you have the time, you could do a really quick test? i'm asking because the previous model was simply unusable for vlogging.

    Great video, I've had my eyes on this lens for a while now, I'll be picking up mine soon.

    Do you know what the focus throw is on it? When in manual focus, is it hard to focus or is the focus rotation pretty long compared ti a cinema version

    I was going to buy the 11-16mm but then it really pays to buy this 11-20mm, I believe the optics should be the same, right? I had many indications of the 11-16mm ATX PRO, and I discovered by chance that Tokina has these updated versions of these lenses! By chance I can use it in addition to the Blackmagic 6K Pro also on my Sony a7iv, this will solve the problem of cropping at 4k 60fps. Do you know if the MC11 adapter changes the focal length? thank you very much for your attention and congratulations for the channel and your videos!!

    What EF adapter did you use for this lens to fit on the blackmagic?

    What did you use for movement? Gimbal? if so, which one?

    I own the Canon 10-18. It is a F4.5 and external zoom, but it stabilised. This Tokina lens keeps getting my attention for the F2.8 and internal zoom. Switch?

    another doubt! I don't know if you're still using the Ronin RSC2, but in the case of this lens on this gimbal which is the same one I use here, I can control the focus on the gimbal dial without needing the focus motor, right? did you get to test it this way? is the behavior good? thanks!

    Hello, I brought this same lens (Tokina Atx-I 11-20mm F2.8 CF PLUS) for my bmpcc6kpro, but the iris and focus is not working and the lens seems to be at a constant aperture throughout, with no option to change it. Could you please confirm it works flawlessly with you bmpcc6kpro ? I tried this lens on my other canon 70d and it works as expected and I can control the aperture and the focus. Thanks !

      Hi @@nebukadnezzar3578 I contacted blackmagic and this is what. That lens won't work with bmpcc6k with the 8.1 firmware update. If you really need to make it work, you will have to downgrade the firmware to lower version < 8 (ie. 7.8 or so), and it will work. Eventually I didn't like that lens and returned it. Canon 10-18 seems a better and cheaper option with full support with bmpcc6k.

    How do you control the aperture? I'm lost as on how to go from f-stop to f-stop.

    • @calebbarstadreels
      @calebbarstadreels 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      usually that's controlled in body for these types of lenses, so make sure you are using a smart adapter if needed

    This is one of the few reviews on this lens I could find! Lots on the ATX-Pro. The ATX-i must be a new release? (Found this during my crash research binge while B&H has it has a 24-hour flash sale for $419.) One question: How's the noise when focusing? Since you didn't specifically complain, I'm guessing pretty good? I've done mostly still work, but am doing more video so I'm wondering. Great review, thanks.
