Just wanted to say thanks for this video. Changed mine on my 2011 pilot yesterday using this, and I’m not mechanically inclined. Cleared my battery issues
Thanks for making this video my 2011 pilot the alternator has gone out. Your video was very detailed. Don't understand the 5 thumbs down the video will help me and I appreciate it.
Thank you for watching. Im glad I can help. I put the time and effort to make something useful that people can use and learn from but I can’t make everyone happy I guess. 😬. I appreciate your comment.
Just did this today and it was a PAIN lol Getting the belt back ON was the most troublesome part for me and I couldn't get the long 12mm bolt back into the bracket but that bolt isn't affecting anything so whatever haha Good tutorial. Those plugs were also almost impossible for me to unplug so I left them on until I was able to pull the Alt up and have room to unplug them 😅
I had the time from hell trying to take out the alternator out like you did. A friend finally did it in ten seconds, but the bum did not show me how he did it. Now I have to replace it again and my neighbor is going to help me.
They can get a big pain in the butt trying to get out. Try to rotate the alternator until you find the right spot and remember to put the new one in the exact same way. 👍🏻
Hello, I'm running into the same problem now with the same truck and year. My question is when buying the alternator which brand will last? I know the Honda brand is not what it is.

😂😂 if it works it works. 🤷🏼♂️
Thanks a lot!! This is so helpful. Does the belt tensioner work by just turning the bolt?
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻. Yes just take your time and don’t force it.
Do you turn it clockwise?
@@djpak1 you turn it counter clock wise to losen the belt
Thanks for mentioning the socket size of the lower bolt 🙃
You bet!

Great video! How long did the job take?
Wow I remember my Subaru was so easy to replace. This is crazy in comparison
Subaru and the boxer motor are a lot easier.
Good video, did you think Amazon starter are trusted?
Nice work but you skip or fast forward the important steps, like how you loosened the tensioner and where exactly the bolts are
great tutorial! thanks.
Thank you for watching. I appreciate your comment.
Thanks, where are you located ?
I’m in Garden City NY Long Island.
Hello, I'm running into the same problem now with the same truck and year. My question is when buying the alternator which brand will last? I know the Honda brand is not what it is.
My g/f’s just went out on a busy street. If I put a new Battery in it. Run it w no lights or radio. Will it get me home (15) mins away?
With a fully charged battery, you should be able to make it 15 min away
How long does this repair usually take? What’s the average cost in labor?
They want 610 but im 3 miles from the part store.
What's the best alternator to buy?
Too many different brands out there but I would recommend Denso
How do you put your alternator in place so easy? I could not put my in place.
Take your time and don’t get frustrated it’s a tight fit.
thx fir the post
