My poor mom loved my father for 30 years after he left us all for a younger woman. She would be so happy when he was around. Two weeks before she died she said what I wouldn't give for me and your dad to be together living in Sominole ,and you kids to be little again. Dad didn't come to her funeral. Not surprising at all.

As my father has often remarked: "hillbilly" acts weren't given much attention in major metropolitan areas, like NYC, for example, back in the 50's and 60's, on mainstream television, let alone radio. The way Ron Gaddis looks at George and pays attention to him tells you how much Ron loved and adored George. It’s ironic that Ron got the boot from the band because of his alcoholism considering George’s history with alcohol abuse.

As much as I respect and love what he dose, I would have to say hes not drunk but definitely had a few. I was a alcoholic for many moons, and we veterans of the shine can spot the signs .
