Hello Daren The Hyperlapse Way point feature is fantastic. I have done a set of waypoints (5 sec final video time) I have stored (you can also give them a name by hitting the pencil icon) and I replayed them about 20 times over a year period of time every two weeks to record the progress of a construction building. The assembly of all the shots is simply great and make a 1,5 mn video. This mini 3 Pro is unbelievable...
Are you able to save the hyperlapses order you can only have one running at a time - ie. Can I visit one project on a Monday with one hyperlapse waypoint bundle then a different site the next with a different waypoint bundle?
Hi , how will you help remove the doubt of the beginner remote pilot for DJI moni 3 pro that you won’t crash being that it has no sideways obstacle sensor. What is the maximum height that you need to set to remove all doubts of crashing ? This is a question also for master shot. Thanks
I’m actually in Bali right now and watch your tutorials at night. I’ve got a lot of good videos and photos thru your videos. It has progressed my drone experience tremendously, Thank you sooooo much!!!
@@DMProductions as you said a good long hyperlapse takes a lot of time. A mistake I made in editing was to slow the shots down in Davinci 18 and thus affecting the frame rates which then made for a choppy hyperlapse sequence
Great tutorial - I've not yet used hyperlapse but in hindsight have missed great opportunities for it. A question though...when creating an ascent or descent hyperlapse, have you got any tips for how to help reduce the risk of twisting/yaw movement?
Thanks for all the great tips. I tried the fixed waypoints. My only problem was when it came back Home ( in a straight line) it almost hit a tree. Not sure why it did not increase the altitude and fly back safely. Did I do something wrong? Any advice would be appreciated. Do you use brake or avoidance when using the locked waypoints? Thanks Again.
Cheers for your reply, I have never edited before and never looked into it. I have had a mini 2 for 18 months and now a mini 3 for the past 4 months and I think it's about time I learn and START getting the most out of my footage, I have never been camera savvy other than click at everything that moves haha! and fill my storage with shite 🤣 your vids are spot on and I have been watching since I started flying. Your videos and experience on DJi drones has really helped me decide to buy one. I'm a travel content creator and a drone newbie and improving my drone skills daily, thanks to you
Great video Darren. I'm doing a "Construction Progression" video of a friend's house being built and I am using waypoints to complete a circle (roughly) every couple of weeks - the idea is that I will then edit the set of (roughly 50) videos and present him with the build in roughly 3-4 complete loops. The problem I have is joining the last waypoint of the loop to the start of the loop for a smooth join - any ideas? The "loop" option does not save position and altitude so it's no good for me in this situation - any help would be massively appreciated.
I've done a similar thing for my house. (Haven't finished the video, despite me living in the house for about 2 years though). You'd want to go 1-2 times a week until the roof and outside bricks are done, a lot get's done before that stage and nothing after that because all the work is being done on the inside. and there's a lot happening every couple of days. Also I didn't do a loop, but perhaps you could try (If you haven't already started that is) at the first point (let's use a clock as reference) 12 o'clock, make two waypoints. then add another waypoint at 3-oclock, another at 6 and 9, and if possible move one of the 12 o'clock waypoints to the end after everything. Copy and paste waypoints? not sure, I don't have a M3P
Another great tutorial from DM. And on another topic: You seem to have influence on DJI. Can you ask them to pleeeaaase give us waypoints without hyperlapse? Any chance Litchi will be able to program for the Mini 3 anytime soon?
Hi DM- Firstly, thanks for your great videos, learning a lot from you... ND filter question - which filter do you use during hyper lapse at night? ND4? Your tutorials and reviews on the DJI mini 3 pros convinced me to buy this tiny super drone! Cheers!
Hey at night I don’t use a a ND filter if it’s really dark as more noise will be in the video but in blue hour or golden hour I’ll use nd4 or nd8. My daytime Hyperlpase has nd64 on as it was very bright. I have them linked the ones I used 🙏
I wish I could just get my Mini 3 to fly by itself in a preset direction, distance, and height, record video, and then pause. Is this asking too much? Seems as if waypoints can do this with hyper lapses?
Hi, I f you want to make vertical hyperlapse it can only be made on free mode? Can’t you use circle, way point or the others modes ? Thanks for your videos I have learned some tricks to use in my dji mini 3 pro.
Love the video, can I ask if I should also buy the mini 3 pro as I already have the Mavic 3? I know all the functions are going to be the same however its the weight and sister what’s attracting me to it as well as the portrait videography option.

I was trying to learn these moves yesterday over the park. I’ve come to the main man to brush up on how to do them. Also my battery plus just came in post from china so perfect for these on the park to play around with.
Hi, just curios, what's the best settings for night video shooting? I'm searching youtube but nobody tell. I'm asking because the aerial footage it's kind of grainy. My settings is iso 200, 30 fps, 4k, d-cinelike. Thank you.
Hi! I just tried out the hyperlapse for the first time. And I followed your settings. So just to be clear, 100 photos only equals to like 4 sec final video? Is that how it's supposed to be? My drone is not broken right? But it is a super cool feature.
