Thanks, I also found the info later on one of the Dw videos. I sure hope they do, since I ordered a 13x6,5 about 2 weeks ago from Dw and the order went in with out any objection. :D I also have ordered one VLT snare in 5,5" depth before and then they told me that they are happy to do half sizes on wood drums, but they have to charge according the next whole size.
Now that I finally figure out how to pronounce your last name - per this video, thank you just for that point alone at the start of this video. :) KEEP ROCKING !!!
If i'm right that ride in this video is an earth ride, but without an brilliant finish. He uses the K custom session ride with BLS, but otherwise he still uses the earth ride.
I've always enjoyed your drumming. It's fantastic. Your approach is great and your style is unique. I had a question about the song Hopeless. During the bridge, you play a snare roll right before the chorus. I was wondering if this was a specific rudiment and if so, which one? To my inexperienced ear, it sounds like a nine stroke roll. If you could shed some light on this part of the song and what your favorite rudiments are, that would be awesome. Thanks for inspiring me as a drummer.
Chad search "Bass Drum Double Stroke" on youtube and click on the first video. Is this the "whip motion" or "slide kind of a vibe" you're talking about in the video?
I don't listen to Breaking Benjamin much anymore, but when I do, this song gets played. Possibly because I enjoy a lot of metal and this is one of Breaking Benjamin's heavier songs.
Search "Bass Drum Double Stroke" and click on the first video if you want to see this technique demonstrated and broken down to parts! Helped me a lot. Glad if it helps you! (:
Hey, your playing is amazing and always has been. Why do you use those cs black dot heads on toms? lot of guys do that lately, is there any particular reason for that?
He has already made a tutorial for Evil Angel. Search: "Chad Szeliga Drum Lesson #5" Also I don't know if you heard the news, but Chad left Breaking Benjamin.
It is a slide kind of vibe. A key thing to remember when gaining that speed is this: You need to practice your doubles on a single kick first SLOWLY. Over time the ANKLE will take over and allow you to reach that speed but with control. The pedal can HELP but that's it. You can do it on ANY pedal or kit once your body learns the body movements. Thanks for the great question. God Bless.
I love his videos and chad's playing but does anyone else notice some inconsistencies in his playing on his tutorials? Compared to what is actually on the record??
Thank you so much man for getting back to bb songs! You're the only hope in the chaos around BB!
man i love that ride! great tutorial Chad!
Great to see some B.B. stuff! Hopefully Ben makes a comeback with you & some new guys.
so awesome! you should do more video lessons!!THX!
You're awesome.
Instead of calling it a "whip", I think calling it a "double drop" is more appropriate. You are one of my idols and I hope you read this. God Bless
This song kickass

Damn Chad! After all of these years you finally did this video! I love you more and more as time goes by! :)
My top 2 favorite drummers are Neil Peart and Chad Szeliga.
I just rush last night in San Diego.

Damn that Edge sounds good! Is it 13" x 6" or 13" x 7"?
Hey Chad if you don't mind me asking, what's your favorite song on Phobia?
He has already made a tutorial for Evil Angel. Search: "Chad Szeliga Drum Lesson #5" Also I don't know if you heard the news, but Chad left Breaking Benjamin.
Sickest drummer in the world.
Part 2 of the video is private :/
DW said that Chad's edge is 13x6.5, but they don't make half sizes anymore with the edge so...
which color has this DW ? regal blue ?
when it was recorded?
Chad to wave good video I was wondering if you could tell me you studied to be a rock star or a way to get me as your fame
"The meat and potatoes of the intro"
chad, you look like a ninja!
He always changes it up a bit, which is fine. Like the version Evil Angel that Chad plays live is so much better compared to the studio version.
