  • Until recently, nuclear power had been off the table in Australia. However, many communities across the country are now grappling with the possibility of having a nuclear power plant in their backyard.
Port Augusta in South Australia is one of them, with the Coalition listing the town as one of seven proposed sites in it's nuclear energy plan.
For some in the community, it's seen as offering an economic boost, bringing jobs and breathing new life into the regional town.
But others, like the local Indigenous community, are vehemently opposed and vowing to fight any proposal through the courts.
