Not sure if I would have placed Lapis so far on the good side. She *did* try to drown Connie and Steven, break Greg's leg, force Jasper to the bottom of the ocean and break Peridot's tape recorder.

I think that Jenny was completely unaware of the stress/strain she was inadvertently causing for her sister, which is why she was so accepting of Kiki not being able to cover another shift. Kiki and Jenny seem like a good twin bond that do their best for each other.
Yes! I’m so happy Spinel made it to the gray area! I knew she’d be in the gray area! Yes, Spinel was a villain, but she had reasons for her actions and she had a traumatic past of being abandoned by Pink Diamond, so her actions are understandable. But she redeemed herself at the end thanks to Steven and was able to move on from her grief, and I believe Spinel was always a good person deep down inside, it was just buried because she was consumed by anger and pain
Spinel had every right to be upset with Pink. Pink could've taken the time to explain why Spinel couldn't come with her, said goodbye, or at the very least sent her back to Homeworld.

I think its wrong to say that pink is worse than blue and yellow, and heres why: Yes, pink was manipulative. Yes, she did hurt people. But this doesn't make her nearly as bad as blue and yellow. Blue and Yellow would do what they were told. They killed and ruined thousands of planets. They shatter. They delete peoples memories, they manipulated far worse than pink. The only reason pink was manipulative herself is because that was her only role models.. For crying out loud, for her having fun she would be locked up for days with barely any vision of the outside. Blue and Yellow (and white) Thought they had to fix her for who she was. But she saw that all life was perfect and worth protecting. Pink just wanted peace. Blue and Yellow never listened to any "lower life forms". Including her. So the only way for her to do what was right was to make sacrifices. And I have heard people talk about how she manipulated Pearl. But she never even tried. She would discurrage Pearl to help her with her battles, because she wanted the best for her. But Pearl stayed. I am not victim blaiming, but Pearl was designed, and was supposed to go to diamond orders, but she didn't to help the one she loved. Pink tried to tell her what could happen but Pearl wanted to stay because that's her "purpose" So Pink didn't manipulate. Yes. Pink could've told the gems the truth immediately, but that would ruin what she wanted. She wanted them to not feel trapped. So she faked her own death, so that they didn't have to listen to a diamond anymore. She hurt one planet. Did all she could. Went through a living hell that the other diamonds caused her. She isn't perfect. But she did nothing compared to them. Both morally, and in actions.

Yeah I agree the Pink is the most good among tbe Diamond and should have been higher on the list. At least bordering good despite being the root cause of a lot of issues. It's Pink, then Blue, then Yellow, and then White.
What makes Greg probably the best cartoon dad IMO is that in some cases where he actually lied to his son; he did it just so he could spend more time with his son, unaware of what he did; he really does his best to make it up to his Shtoo-ball.
I do agree that the grey area is the perfect placement for all the diamonds, even though Blue Diamond, Yellow Diamond, and especially White Diamond were villains. However, I respectfully disagree with the placement of Blue Diamond. Out of all the remaining diamonds, I do believe that Blue Diamond was the most good and should have been ranked higher than Yellow Diamond. Blue Diamond was the first of the diamonds to be redeemed, her redemption arc had no problems, and she played a major role in redeeming Yellow Diamond. Also, Blue Diamond did genuinely care about Yellow Diamond, it's just that she loved Pink Diamond more. In fact out of all the diamonds, Blue Diamond was the only one shown to at least try to compromise with Pink Diamond. Blue Diamond was also shown to miss Pink Diamond the most. Another thing, while Blue Diamond has admitted to willingly spread her sorrow to others, there's evidence that she also did this unintentionally. There's also no doubt that Blue Diamond loved Pink Diamond and later Steven Universe. Spinel should have also been placed above Pink Diamond because of the simple fact that she was more a victim than a villain, and much like most of the events of the series, Pink Diamond was the cause.
However, Blue Diamond was a shatterer and Spinel tried to destroy a whole planet (biopoison) and let Steven die alone (her words not mine). While, yes she was abandoned, that doesn't justify her actions.

As for Spinel, her actions weren't justified but they were understandable. Pink Diamond caused the pain that Spinel had to endure and chose not to make up for it. Spinel's actions were more of a consequence of Pink Diamond's actions and technically Steven since his message to the universe led to Spinel learning about Pink Diamond's actions and fate, setting the events of the Steven Universe movie.

This is a fact because the crystal gems started having more members after Garnet was formed but the corruption of all gems on earth was due to Pink faking her shattering, which couldn't take place before Garnet came to be. Garnet is the reason Pink had many other gems become crystal gems, including Bismuth who is implied to be the gem who influenced Pink Diamond to fake her shattering.
Sadie should've been ranked lower. She trapped two people on an island (one of them only being 12) just to get close to Lars. She also tricked Lars into eating a spiced donut and after the literal fire in his mouth was extinguished, she didn't bother apologizing. I mean, Lars was being kind of a dick but still.
As for power: Lapis is deemed a (near) perfect gem: Cut, facettes, placement and colouration - this makes her so incredible powerful, even against two other of her kind

In my opinion white diamond is the most evil character in the series. She committed mass genocide and caused the extinction of countless species that were likely sentient beings.
I agree so far. On the whole, Connie hadn’t a typically unusual/untraditional upbringing, resulting in her not having trauma. Unfortunately, Steven did, so he was good, but is toxic when struggling with Post-Traumatic-Stress-Disorder and/or un-necessary (like Rose, As Both alt.egos) Garnet is like Steven, from her creation, from her Pokemon: X (Sapphire) & Pokemon: Y (Ruby) sides of her, from her components relationships & relationship issues with each other...basically, she understands him the most in the empathetic, supportive mom way. Garnet: Supportive & Protective Mom but has EXTREMELY CONTROVERSIAL VIEWS ON LIFE Pearl: Good Mom, But too protective and loving to a TOXIC point, attached and de-attached to Steven due to Trauma Amethyst: Fun Mom, but would accidentally turn EVERYTHING you knew upside-down and would traumatise every pure child watching the show because she’s a realistic struggling human mamma/big moody sister
The other diamonds would have continued to destroy worlds, including Earth, if not for the war. So nothing would have happened in Steven's point of view because he wouldn't have been born and everyone on Earth would have been dead. You are putting too much blame on Pink Diamond.
The best way to defeat your enemy is to make them your friend. I noticed there were other characters/fusions that were left out, maybe it’s because they didn’t get much screen time? I’d say Pink is the perfect neutral character, her Rose Quartz half is good but her Diamond half is bad. I want to say that Pink and Rose should be separate, but as Butters said “I’ve gotta take the good with the bad”. I suppose Rose didn’t think that her sisters would come looking for her when she decided to have a kid of her own. I wonder what Yellow, Blue, and While would look like if they changed their gems like Pink did in order to become Rose.

Fluorite is like a combiner with the fact that combiners are the combined forms of minds souls and bodies of transformers and that each component has their own thoughts and it can limit the combined form because of the combination of minds having different personalities and feelings
The gold medal should’ve gone to the pebbles in my opinion. They did nothing wrong and they are the cutest little babies I’ve ever seen. But Connie is a good choice.

Okay, obvious questions: Why is Onion in the good list? Why isn't White Diamond in the evil list? Why is Yellow Diamond higher than Blue Diamond in the gray area? Why is Spinel worse than White Diamond? Why is Pink Diamond not at least highest in the gray area? Why is Jasper in the evil list and considered unredeemed? But honestly, a question I have but don't think anyone else has even thought to ask is... WHERE IS KEVIN?
I think Kevin is somewhere low in the grey scale. And yeah I think Pink Diamond is high grey. She's the epitome of a grey and grey character in this show.
The cluster is basically the gems answer to a golem (the most famous being the flesh golem Frankenstein, and yes, Frankenstein, no monster needed, it’s a sir name and Victor considered him his son, he can have the name)
Okay, as much as I defend Lapis Lazuli to the bitter end, you kind of skipped out on some of the less morally correct actions she committed, such as: Lapis Lazuli’s former role as a terraformer sending dangerous AI water duplicates on Steven and the Crystal Gems when not realizing they would resort to drowning Steven and Connie and breaking Greg’s leg as well as taking the ocean to try and escape, trying to exact her retaliations out on Jasper while simultaneously keeping her from murdering Steven until realizing that was wrong, and her resentment towards Peridot to the point of breaking her tape recorder due to how Peridot treated her during interrogation in the Gem Warship (taking the barn I blame on bad writing wanting to make a Wizard of Oz joke over dropping it on Blue Diamond). If I were to place Lapis in the moral spectrum, it would be a bit further down in the Good because her actions were still dangerous even when all her actions were out of reasonable causes, but still above Bismuth and Peridot as well as Jasper and Spinel as those four formerly had direct intentions to murder Steven, even though Spinel is my all time favorite. However I guess it’s better to place Lapis in a more positive light and not further elaborating on some of her more controversial actions, than flat-out demonizing her and completely disregarding her reasons for being so resentful like in many other analysis videos I have seen where Lazuli gets the finger-pointing on her as the “sociopath”.
Steven is good, but I feel he should’ve been further down of the good. Once he got a true taste of power from training with Jasper in SU future, he became corrupt and spoiler, shatters her.
Are we just going to ignore how selfish Connie was when Steven decided to go to Homeworld alone.... Connie and Lion literally abandoned and emotionally tortured STEVEN??

Like the entirety of Season 4 and 5, her sword-fighting was useless, and they didn't even use her brains to come up with some kind of storyline about how she's a strategist and comes up with plans to guide the other gems who are more powerful than her... they made her weak AND annoying lol

They are not brought up as much as other characters aquamarine and eyeball count as the same person as bluebird Andy has one episode about himself and 2-3 other episodes he appears in which he barely talks in sunstone isn’t memorable as well as rainbow quarts 2.0 obsidian appears in 1 episode and barely says anything she didn’t leave a big impression

I would have put peridot and Bishmith higher and Lapis lower. Like Peridot and bismuth had to be placed higher then lapis. Like yes Bismith wanted to shatter the diamonds but it's not like she did. Also bismuth only wanted to shatter the diamonds to protect her her freinds and the earth. Also she was the one who made the weapons for the gems to help fight shes also the confidence builder. Peridot even though she had that additude she did help the gems stop the cluster. Unlike pearl that has this big obsession with rose that she cant think of anything else well atlest she used to. until the movie or freind ship. Even though peridot was wowed by yellow diamond her likeing for yellow diamond didnt stop her from saving the earth. Peridot also mouthed off yellow diamond just to save the planet. She also tried to make lapis feel welcome but I'll get to that. Now lapis deserves to be in the good area she does not just higher then those two. Some people will say oh well she was mean to peridot yea which was kind of rude to me but actually I dont blame her for that. I dont blame her for that because Peridot and Jasper did try to kidnap her on the ship and trapped her to turn into Malenchite. Yea but Lapis didnt have to destory peridots stuff that was wrong. She also tried to drown steven I think and also stole the ocean and hurt the humans. I understand why she would have a grudge agiant the gems but what does steven connie and greg have anything to do with this. She also took the barn and everything away from peridot which was unnecessary as well. This is why I think peridot and bismuth should be ranked 1 spit higher then lapis should
I agree with most of the decisions except for Lapis Lazuli. Yes, she went through incredibly traumatic events, but that doesn't excuse her actions. When she decides to leave earth, she acts really toxic towards Peridot. When Peridot doesn't agree with her, she takes the barn away from her. Through doing this she not only takes away her home, but also a lot of the happy memories she associates with earth. She tries to emotionally manipulate Peridot, something Lapis has been through herself. I personally think she isn't better than Peridot!
Saying spinel is more evil than the space dictators is far from the truth. Spinel almost destroyed the planet and rejuvenated the gems.. diamonds have done that and way more.
Hell, Greg deserves to be 1 of the best Cartoon dads. Another good father figure it Nick Tatapolis from the Zilla animated series towards Zilla(known as Godzilla in the show but is actually Zilla.

I think its wrong to say that pink is worse than blue and yellow, and heres why:
Yes, pink was manipulative. Yes, she did hurt people. But this doesn't make her nearly as bad as blue and yellow. Blue and Yellow would do what they were told. They killed and ruined thousands of planets. They shatter. They delete peoples memories, they manipulated far worse than pink. The only reason pink was manipulative herself is because that was her only role models.. For crying out loud, for her having fun she would be locked up for days with barely any vision of the outside.
Blue and Yellow (and white) Thought they had to fix her for who she was. But she saw that all life was perfect and worth protecting. Pink just wanted peace. Blue and Yellow never listened to any "lower life forms". Including her. So the only way for her to do what was right was to make sacrifices.
And I have heard people talk about how she manipulated Pearl. But she never even tried. She would discurrage Pearl to help her with her battles, because she wanted the best for her. But Pearl stayed. I am not victim blaiming, but Pearl was designed, and was supposed to go to diamond orders, but she didn't to help the one she loved. Pink tried to tell her what could happen but Pearl wanted to stay because that's her "purpose" So Pink didn't manipulate.
Yes. Pink could've told the gems the truth immediately, but that would ruin what she wanted. She wanted them to not feel trapped. So she faked her own death, so that they didn't have to listen to a diamond anymore.
She hurt one planet. Did all she could. Went through a living hell that the other diamonds caused her. She isn't perfect. But she did nothing compared to them. Both morally, and in actions.

What makes Greg probably the best cartoon dad IMO is that in some cases where he actually lied to his son; he did it just so he could spend more time with his son, unaware of what he did; he really does his best to make it up to his Shtoo-ball.
I do agree that the grey area is the perfect placement for all the diamonds, even though Blue Diamond, Yellow Diamond, and especially White Diamond were villains. However, I respectfully disagree with the placement of Blue Diamond. Out of all the remaining diamonds, I do believe that Blue Diamond was the most good and should have been ranked higher than Yellow Diamond. Blue Diamond was the first of the diamonds to be redeemed, her redemption arc had no problems, and she played a major role in redeeming Yellow Diamond. Also, Blue Diamond did genuinely care about Yellow Diamond, it's just that she loved Pink Diamond more. In fact out of all the diamonds, Blue Diamond was the only one shown to at least try to compromise with Pink Diamond. Blue Diamond was also shown to miss Pink Diamond the most. Another thing, while Blue Diamond has admitted to willingly spread her sorrow to others, there's evidence that she also did this unintentionally. There's also no doubt that Blue Diamond loved Pink Diamond and later Steven Universe. Spinel should have also been placed above Pink Diamond because of the simple fact that she was more a victim than a villain, and much like most of the events of the series, Pink Diamond was the cause.
However, Blue Diamond was a shatterer
and Spinel tried to destroy a whole planet (biopoison) and let Steven die alone (her words not mine).
While, yes she was abandoned, that doesn't justify her actions.

As for Spinel, her actions weren't justified but they were understandable. Pink Diamond caused the pain that Spinel had to endure and chose not to make up for it. Spinel's actions were more of a consequence of Pink Diamond's actions and technically Steven since his message to the universe led to Spinel learning about Pink Diamond's actions and fate, setting the events of the Steven Universe movie.

This is a fact because the crystal gems started having more members after Garnet was formed but the corruption of all gems on earth was due to Pink faking her shattering, which couldn't take place before Garnet came to be. Garnet is the reason Pink had many other gems become crystal gems, including Bismuth who is implied to be the gem who influenced Pink Diamond to fake her shattering.

I agree so far. On the whole, Connie hadn’t a typically unusual/untraditional upbringing, resulting in her not having trauma.

The best way to defeat your enemy is to make them your friend. I noticed there were other characters/fusions that were left out, maybe it’s because they didn’t get much screen time? I’d say Pink is the perfect neutral character, her Rose Quartz half is good but her Diamond half is bad. I want to say that Pink and Rose should be separate, but as Butters said “I’ve gotta take the good with the bad”. I suppose Rose didn’t think that her sisters would come looking for her when she decided to have a kid of her own. Okay, as much as I defend Lapis Lazuli to the bitter end, you kind of skipped out on some of the less morally correct actions she committed, such as:
Lapis Lazuli’s former role as a terraformer sending dangerous AI water duplicates on Steven and the Crystal Gems when not realizing they would resort to drowning Steven and Connie and breaking Greg’s leg as well as taking the ocean to try and escape, trying to exact her retaliations out on Jasper while simultaneously keeping her from murdering Steven until realizing that was wrong, and her resentment towards Peridot to the point of breaking her tape recorder due to how Peridot treated her during interrogation in the Gem Warship (taking the barn I blame on bad writing wanting to make a Wizard of Oz joke over dropping it on Blue Diamond).
If I were to place Lapis in the moral spectrum, it would be a bit further down in the Good because her actions were still dangerous even when all her actions were out of reasonable causes, but still above Bismuth and Peridot as well as Jasper and Spinel as those four formerly had direct intentions to murder Steven, even though Spinel is my all time favorite.
However I guess it’s better to place Lapis in a more positive light and not further elaborating on some of her more controversial actions, than flat-out demonizing her and completely disregarding her reasons for being so resentful like in many other analysis videos I have seen where Lazuli gets the finger-pointing on her as the “sociopath”.
Steven is good, but I feel he should’ve been further down of the good. Once he got a true taste of power from training with Jasper in SU future, he became corrupt and spoiler, shatters her.

Like the entirety of Season 4 and 5, her sword-fighting was useless, and they didn't even use her brains to come up with some kind of storyline about how she's a strategist and comes up with plans to guide the other gems who are more powerful than her... they made her weak AND annoying lol

I would have put peridot and Bishmith higher and Lapis lower. Like Peridot and bismuth had to be placed higher then lapis. Like yes Bismith wanted to shatter the diamonds but it's not like she did. Also bismuth only wanted to shatter the diamonds to protect her her freinds and the earth. Also she was the one who made the weapons for the gems to help fight shes also the confidence builder. Peridot even though she had that additude she did help the gems stop the cluster. Unlike pearl that has this big obsession with rose that she cant think of anything else well atlest she used to. until the movie or freind ship. Even though peridot was wowed by yellow diamond her likeing for yellow diamond didnt stop her from saving the earth. Peridot also mouthed off yellow diamond just to save the planet. She also tried to make lapis feel welcome but I'll get to that. Now lapis deserves to be in the good area she does not just higher then those two. Some people will say oh well she was mean to peridot yea which was kind of rude to me but actually I dont blame her for that. I dont blame her for that because Peridot and Jasper did try to kidnap her on the ship and trapped her to turn into Malenchite. Yea but Lapis didnt have to destory peridots stuff that was wrong. She also tried to drown steven I think and also stole the ocean and hurt the humans. I understand why she would have a grudge agiant the gems but what does steven connie and greg have anything to do with this. She also took the barn and everything away from peridot which was unnecessary as well. This is why I think peridot and bismuth should be ranked 1 spit higher then lapis should

I agree with most of the decisions except for Lapis Lazuli.
Yes, she went through incredibly traumatic events, but that doesn't excuse her actions.
When she decides to leave earth, she acts really toxic towards Peridot. When Peridot doesn't agree with her, she takes the barn away from her.
Through doing this she not only takes away her home, but also a lot of the happy memories she associates with earth.
She tries to emotionally manipulate Peridot, something Lapis has been through herself.
I personally think she isn't better than Peridot!
