I've been a professional mechanic for 35 years and watch a lot of videos to familiarize myself with potential side jobs. This video stuck out to me as one of the best how to videos with everything explained and nothing that didn't need to be and no magical video cuts where poof, the part is on longer on there, don't ask how. The size of bolts, and description of tools was excellent. I feel confident doing this just by your video alone. Thank you and a new subscriber.
When I did my starter, I was able to remove it without needing to remove the rear coolant crossover. I used a triple articulated, 18-inch long, T-handled ratchet, and snaked it down between the back of the engine and the firewall. It was a pain, but it saved me from having to disassemble the cooling system.
@@darylsparks-sparksautomoti6066 Yeah, there's more than one way to skin a cat. haha I just figured: a) I don't need to deal with anything coolant related; b) if I break the seal on the rear coolant crossover, there is a chance that after I put it all back together again, it leaks at that point, which would mean needing to disassemble everything again.
@Maplecook right. I had to.. it came back with a leak there.. i put new gaskets on it. thought maybe i put on upside down.. I watched the video.. closely.. the fuel line was dripping rt on the seal & ruined the rubber. my own video showed me my error
@Maplecook well.. I got through it pretty quick.. Had I not watched the video, I wouldn't have seen the fuel drip on the seal & wouldn't have known why it failed.
Thank you sir, best video and explanation just finished working on my knock sensors . After opening my intake manifold i got to know that jerry 😂 had eaten all the wires that were connected to the sensor's .
Did you have to undo any coolant lines at all? How can i get the debris out from under the fuel rails if i dont have compressed air? Im 7 minutes in, and this is the best explanation of this ive seen yet! Ive got to do the knock sensors on my gs400 next weekend and im definitely using this!

@@Maplecook I probably could've managed around the crossover as well but I figured it was more trouble than just removing the blasted thing
