I can't wait until the summer though, I bought a plane ticket to Hawaii with my mom--so excited. Thanks for always being inspiring! When people say anything is possible, it's true. I never thought we would have the money to do this, but we found a way and set our minds to saving money. A lot of travel advice you have shared in your videos helped tremendously, and inspired me to fight to make this happen! if it wasn't for you, this probably would have never happened! :)

The ocean over there is truly something special, we even went snorkeling with manta rays. I am graduated and have these memories for a life time. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your videos and inspiration, going back to your old videos is really nostalgic and special for me now! It means so much to me and has helped me through the stressful times! I hope that all is fine on your end, as always, endeavor forever as I say :)

The waiters explained every dish and I filmed that, but unfortunately it was too loud to hear properly :( My favourite was the salmon tartare - raw salmon in that weird white bubble at the beginning. The main dish was pretty standard sugar shack dishes, but prepared really nicely. Beans, meat, more meat...
That desert that looked like a log/branch was pretty interesting. I'm sure it was good but what was in it. That is one thing I couldn't understand what the server was saying.
The salmon tartare, for sure! Honestly, typical sugar shack main dishes are just not what I like most. And I'm a sucker for any kind of tartare or raw meat.
I first saw this in Andrew Zimmerman's show but I didn't know you had to wait for a year to eat there after booking. Looked like it was worth the wait :)
Thomas M. it's a traditional thing in Québec (or Canada in general) where we go and eat a bunch of maple sirup based dishes. didn't even occur to me people outside Canada didn't know what it was!

Lived in Canada 🇨🇦 in Ontario years on families property. Had a working sugar shack. Amazing. 😮

dspid2404 it was chocolate, with some mousseline inside (sugary mousse type thing ) super delicious, my favourite of the deserts actually.

It was a bit less than a year - I think we booked around October. And we went on the last weekend of the season :) Totally worth the wait!
